For my part, the aforementioned Controller, at least, is almost as frustrating for me to play on teams as solo. The main difference is that the frustration isn't followed by defeat nearly as quickly/often.

On a good run, I can get enough to fill what few slots I have at those levels. If that's not enough to matter, then it doesn't matter.

Quote:What if it's actually a stabilising containment device that the reaction is started within, and then the containment breaks down and the reaction expands violently for a bit before the instability causes it to fall apart? On the flip side though.
This was supposed to be a nuclear FUSION device.
This argument comes up in BattleTech all the time.
Fusion devices don't go "boom".
When a fusion reactor breaks down, the reaction stops.
Granted, it's "sexier" if a mech goes up in a pillar of fire.
Hence the "Stackpole rule" (due to Mike Stackpole's penchant for having this happen rather frequently in his novels). -
Alright, but just remember that these jokes aren't worth killing over. And at least give us one more day (which is to say: until the next nightfall) before you turn this into some sort of no man's land. Yes... on the next dark night you may return and claim your dark victory - it will probably be legendary. Of course, you can wait longer if you like, but if you wait too long it will be Halloween.

Quote:Poor Batman. Everyone wants him to stop being himself and fully embrace being some hollow shell that they prefer, even while acknowledging that said shell is not who he truly is. Having Batman abandon himself and fully become Bruce Wayne for some idyllic happy ending is the action of someone who has lost sight of the character's nature, if they ever had it to begin with.Which is is alluded to all the way back in Begins, where Raechel tells him that Bruce is the mask and until he's willing to stop being Batman and become Bruce again, they can't be together. So forward to the end of TDKR, while Bruce doesn't end up with Raechel, he does learn to let Batman go (for himself) and once again become Bruce Wayne, only with Selina Kyle.

Quote:It would wreck enemies for about 30 seconds, and then you'd be level 6... and still on your first run through DFB... where you'd be getting more of those SOs that are supposed to be creating some sort of a balance issue.I'm not for removing TOs and DOs. Has nothing to do with INF, it creates a balance issue. Having attacks that do 66-99% extra damage at level 5 would wreck enemies.

The Heart of Gold might improbably come out on top...

I wonder if anyone has taken Spadowski...

CO at launch didn't do a very good job of representing superheroes either, IMO, regardless of any apparent freedom to mix and match powers. As weak as I find characters over here to be, I found it to be even worse in CO. Maybe it's gotten better, but I'm to soured on the game to give it another chance.

Quote:It seems to me that the whole idea around becoming an Incarnate is to become 'big enough', as it were, to handle such threats on your own.Except that if it's JUST your character, it can't be a threat/issue on the same level or scale as Praetoria/Mot/Battalion, yes? Because the whole idea around those is that they're problems that are too big for any one person to handle.
I mean it's fine if you want something for just your character to deal with, but you should know that it likely won't be AS important as the stuff that requires groups. -
I don't entirely disagree that some aspects of this particular truth are a bit horrible, but that's no reason to sully your hands with necromancy.

Est Aliquid Ex Nihil...
Love the head explosion. Been awhile since I saw a Scanners movie. -
Before Attuned enhancements existed, I was a proponent of getting rid of IO levels. It seems like an even better idea now.

Quote:Ah, so: "But the real reason hipsters get so much hate is probably just the smugness. According to certain alarmists, hipsters are not just Acceptable Targets, but an occasion for outright panic. To them, hipsters represent Friedrich Nietzsche's Last Man: they stand for nothing and believe in nothing, so their ironic sneer is a harbinger of the downfall of Western civilization."Is Cracked an Internet site? Yes.
Does their writeup of the inherent ridiculousness of the "hipster culture" function as a great beacon of hope in an otherwise daunting sea of douchebags? Yes. -
Does Internet pop culture qualify as real pop culture yet? And if so, wouldn't referencing cracked.com to make the point be hanging a lampshade on it?
-
The tropes come from many places and can be applied quite broadly. As the main page itself says: "The wiki is called "TV Tropes" because TV is where we started. Over the course of a few years, our scope has crept out to include other media. Tropes transcend television. They reflect life. Since a lot of art, especially the popular arts, does its best to reflect life, tropes are likely to show up everywhere."

Did they take away the hover effect that was already put in place to keep people with slow connections/computers from falling quite so much?

I've never seen her hurl and spit poison at any significant range. Now, if you could combine the aesthetics of Nature Affinity with the debuffing focus of Poison, that'd probably be the best.

Quote:Technically, it's not Knockdown, it's Knockback. There is no actual Knockdown effect - just low magnitude Knockback. This is why there are numerous situations where "Knockdown" irritatingly fails to be "Knockdown" and shows its true Knockback colours. It's not Knockback, it's KnockDOWN. It's only turning into Knockback when you pair it with the Overwhelming Force proc because the 2 knockdowns are combining.
If only they would have based "Knockdown" on Knockup in the first place...
