Only a small suggestion but is anyone else fed up of their alt looking like a surfboard when they die, conveniently attached the the nearest piece of scenery by the smallest available body part?
Well I'd like to suggest the possibility of the Ragdoll physics that are used on the NPC's being attached to our characters. That way we could die in so many more interesting ways!
And no, it ain't a joke post... I would actually quite like this! -
I spoke to Rockjaw at the Con in Birmingham in May and at that time he was pretty sure (I seem to remember the word 'booked' floating around somewhere in there!) that Omega Sektor is on for the Easter weekend of 10th to 13th April 2009!
Edit: And yes, the Elflings will once again be in attendance to totally show everyone how not to do a Task Force -
I've actually managed this once soloing it with my Inv/Axe tank. That last fight took ages though I did manage to keep a few of the Freedom Phalanx alive to help me out!

I've just found a useful workaround for this over on the US forums for those out there who are experience this rather annoying bug.
I won't quote it here as it's a bit of a long post but I have had a play with it and it does seem to work.
Linky
Also the part about making your chat file read only is a good idea!
Hope it helps those of you that have the bug -
Not sure if I missed this somewhere else on the EU forums (Just finished nights and my Search-Fu has already gone to bed) but just spotted this post by Hero-1 on the US forums...

Greetings: Players
Thanks for all the feedback regarding the announcement of the Mission Architect system at PAX. Its... enlightening to say the least. I just wanted to comment on some of the feedback given regarding my talk at PAX. For the most part this is to alleviate some confusion regarding this feature.
An Arc being placed in Dev Choice is not how additional content is unlocked for Architects. Thats handled through straight peer review. The better your Arcs, the more stuff you get to put in missions. The amount of stuff we lock on unlock is something were going to tweak as time goes on.
Dev Choice missions unlock full XP and Influence for an Arc.
Zombie Man pointed this out, but I feel it needs to be mentioned again. Voting is per account, not character. So, even if everyone in your SG group gives you five stars on an Arc, you still have the other hundred thousand plus players to balance it out.
Players are rewarded for playing, creating and rating Arcs.
Players will be able to publish somewhere around half a dozen or so Arcs up to our Arc server. An Arc is anywhere from one to five missions.
There are a number of different categories that created content will fall into. Quickplay, displays the highest rated content you havent played. Dev Choice, displays content that the devs feel best reflects what the Mission Architect can be. Hall of Fame, the best of the best voted entirely by the players.
Content that reaches the Hall of Fame level, and potentially even the Dev Choice section, will unlock additional Arc slots for those creators. This is an incentive to create content that the players and the devs enjoy.
At any point you can unpublish your Arc to free up an additional slot. Arcs that have reached the Hall of Fame or Dev Choice level will be locked, but youll have a new slot to create another super cool Arc.
Cut scenes will not be open at launch. As Positron says, I wouldnt wish that system on anyone.
Stories picked as Dev Choice, will not become canon in our game. If and I mean IF that ever were to happen, it would have to be a pretty big deal.
Players will be able to place multiple objectives within a single mission (boss, defeat, rescue, pet, ambush, etc.). Theyll also be able to weave characters and story through out multiple missions in a single arc. They can even create multiple arcs that build upon each other. Hopefully, for most this is seen as something more than just the simple police/radio missions.
And now for the big one. Allowing players to add in their own characters is an obvious direction to take this feature. Wed be stupid not to give it to you guys. It is however non trivial to do so, especially when we start allowing those characters to use player picked powers. So, know that you will be able to do this. It just might not be at the launch of the feature.
In the end, please know that the Mission Architect is designed to allow creative people to tell their stories, while also rewarding those who play these stories. This is the goal we push towards. In the end, it will never be everything to everyone, but it will hopefully be more than enough to more than a few.
Stay True

I'm pretty sure they are around, the Elflings have/had a sg costume(and requirements for characters(like the height and the ears, powersets were free choice if I remember correctly)) Don't know if they still exist.

Yup we're still about and now in the process of taking under Union too
We did try the whole uniform thing briefly but considering it's nigh on impossible to get a bunch of Elflings to even stand in a straight line, getting them to all dress the same stood no chance! -
Yay Gratz Mr & Mrs BaB's
So now we know my BaB has been posting at odd hours for the last few months and there have been far fewer posts from him this week . -
The war event is fun... if occasionally difficult to trigger
And it may be worth noting that Jack has several spawn locations. If he's not in the Grim Vale it's worth checking the others. This map should help with the spawn points. -
Okay, I've tested this a little further by completely leaving three channels and then restarting my game and then saving my chat file so that the main offending channel (United Coalitions) is nowhere on my list. However when I reload my chat file it re-invites me to UC and replaces all my globals in all my tabs with UC chat, and that includes actually deleting my main global channel from the list so when I try to re-add channels so I can't get back into it
Something very wrong with this! Anyone else getting it?
(Yup... I have /bugged it again) -
Hockey masks. I want a hockey mask... and a chainsaw!
...
Okay, it's not currently in the game but still... -
Inv/Axe lvl 50 - My main
Inv/Nrg - Low level
Ice/SS - Low Level
Inv/Mace - low lvl -
-
So they've fixed the problem with chat disappearing while zoning, fantastic! Unfortunately they seem to have replaced it with an entirely new bug. Now, when I zone, instead of losing a line of text I lose my global channels... from all the tabs in the bottom window. Oddly enough it doesn't affect the tabs in the top window (At least not for me.)
Anyone else having this problem? And yeah, I have /bugged it.
Edit: Tried zoning a few times now and it seems that this bug now takes 2 chat channels from the tabs in my bottom window and replaces them with 2 channels from the tabs on my top window. Very odd! -

S'funny... My PB (a triform) is pretty much a mini-tankmage and kicks the <bleep> out of anything stupid enough to get in her way. Solo she kicks bum; teamed, with the correct team makeup, she shreds everything and can even face down an AV whilst the rest of the team recovers.
Whenever there's a Rikti raid, I have NEVER been faceplanted, yet I've seen tanks, blasters, trollers, the lot, get taken out. Mainly because they don't have access to the mixture of resistance, damage and heals Khelds do. They key is to know when to backup, shift form, and go back in. It only takes a couple of seconds, and then you're back in the action. With the right team, I don't even worry about getting my shields up right away, and since the quantum nerf, I don't even have to worry about them either.
You're making the mistake of comparing Khelds with regular AT's. A common mistake because you CAN'T really compare them. They're not like ANY other AT in the game and require actual tactics to play successfully. OK, so they can't buff team mates; but neither can many other AT's, so that point really isn't that relevant.
Ravenswing is right in that the title of "epic AT" really isn't appropriate. They're an advanced AT, that puts CoH into "hard" mode and require a lot more thought than your regular button mashing techniques. For me, they are my most favourite of AT, way above any of the others.

This...
Having got a Tri-Form Warshade to 50 and a Human-Form Peacebringer to 33 (So far) I have to say they're an awful lot of fun to play, however they are not easy to play! I've gone thought STF, Eden (Repeatedly) and most of the other TF's with my WS and can't really say I've had any issues. I certainly don't find them particularly weak!
Like others have already pointed out, they're not 'Epic.' That really is a misleading title. They're CoH on hard mode. If I'm fully concentrating and playing my WS then he's stupidly powerful and can easily solo 8 man mobs. If i'm not fully switched on then I won't play him as I'll just die lots, it's as simple as that!
I'll admit I haven't played my villain 'Epics' very much yet but from what I've seen they just don't compare. I'm not saying one is better than the other, they're just different. It's like comparing Scrappers and Corruptors, it just don't work.
Though I do accept one comment that the OP made. I do agree that the devs have put more thought into the VEATs than the HEATs but only for the reason that they've had longer to come up with ideas for them. I wouldn't complain if the HEAT's got a bit of buffage but I also wouldn't complain if they don't. Any AT that allows me to have 2 x Buildup, go Unstoppable, nova a mob, get a pet, Aoe the survivors and repeat the whole thing 2 minutes later! is good for me -

Just an interesting note from Posi that I've just come across that may allay some concerns that may be brewing...

Just a quick follow up:
We have no plans of getting rid of freespecs. Each Issue that brings with it major power changes (which is pretty much every single one, eh?) will bring a freespec with it.
We have no plans of getting rid of the respec trials.
We have no plans of getting rid of the dropped Respec Recipes.
We have no plans of getting rid of the Veteran Respecs that your account earns.
This is simply another way to get a Respec onto your character.

And personally I think this is a good thing. For example, my main has done, and used, all three Respec Trials, has used all my vet Respecs and I hate farming (Doing it that is... I have no objection whatsoever to farmers) so I don't have wads of Inf lying around and if I did I'd spend it on things I need more anyway.
If I need another respec I either need to a) Wait another 10 months for my 48 month vet respec, b) Wait for a possible freespec with the next issue or c) spend the price of a pint and a half of beer (which I wouldn't drink anyway) to get one. So with that in mind I can't see any problem with this!
[/ QUOTE ]i guess u missed most of the other post by player on the Us forum they didn't seem too happy about it either, but i don't care it not effect my game play

I didn't miss the other posts, but their opinion isn't my opinion. I was just stating my opinion.
Edit: Just to clarify so my post can't be misread... I think this is a good thing! -

Zombie Apocalypse!
During the above testing time on the Training Room, be wary for the uneasy dead they may assault any region in the game at any time! For those familiar with the Rikti Invasions, the Zombie assaults function in much the same manner. After the Halloween event has concluded, there will still be a period of an hour or more of occasional Zombie activity...

Awesome! Now they just need to add the lawnmower temp power -
Lol! Some of these are awesome ideas and I think they would add loads of atmosphere to the game!

This, even if it's just as far as some new 'props'.
I think that two really good examples of 'dressing up' a standard map are the Asylum as mentioned by the OP and the PST Mish in the RWZ arc. Both of these I absolutely love because it shows that the addition of just a few props make a huge difference to the standard map. -
Bwaahahahaha! Awesome!

- Unified world: players can roll any class of toon and start either in Paragon or the Rogue Isles, but can travel freely between the two.
- How people react to you is based on a "Light Side/Dark Side" meter, and uses the new branching dialogue system. Do good deeds, you get access to more Hero contacts. Do bad things, you lose access to them but gain more Villainous contacts (and the PPD start shooting at you). Also your adoring public react with shock and confusion at your switch to evil/good. Some arcs should require both to complete.

WANTS! Seriously though, this is an awesome idea! -

Anyone tried upgrading their existing accounts with this?
I'm just wondering if there's any issues adding Collectors to GvE?
[/ QUOTE ]
Nope, no issues at all. I did this when I bought the collectors edition at the Game Expo in May. -
Awesome! Now I just need to get mine coloured
I know it's a bit early but are you guys thinking of getting Kat and Jason to come to Memorabilia this year?
