Herald might work well as Titan/WP, as it's his spirit keeping the armour in one piece. That and WP is like Regen, only tougher >_> heh

I kind of expect they're hoping even VIPs will end up paying more money under Freedom than they have in previous years. Though I also kind of hope that the point stipend they'll get will manage to take a bit of the edge off. I personally don't think saving up two months of your stipend for a powerset is all that bad (honestly, I'm ok with just straight-up buying a powerset for $10 if I'm interested in making a character who uses it to tell the trugh), but I'm sure others think differently. -
All other rezzes have damage, KB and/or some form of mez AND Untouchable status. These two NEED updating, stat.

Yes, all the things you've previously earned via Veteran Rewards look like they will be pre-selected for you. However, from there onwards, you'll be able to select the order in which you get your rewards within a tier. Since they're granting tokens for every year you've been subscribed (new benefit), you should have at least a few unspent tokens that you'll be able to pick & choose the order in which you'll acquire the rewards within the tier you end up starting in.
The new guys will need to select everything you've already got to get to where you are now, they "just" get to change the order that they get them in.
Some people seem to be down-playing the benefit to picking the order in which you acquire rewards within a tier, but let me tell you, I certainly look forward to picking up the "Reveal" power "early" on my second account! Some of the other rewards look nice, but "Reveal" is the one I want ASAP! And now I have the option to do so once that account gets to tier 7. Seems pretty spiffy to me.
I don't know if that addresses your concern since I'm not sure what it is exactly, but I hope I got lucky & addressed it anyway. If not, please do try to express your concern more fully & hopefully that information is already available & someone can ease your mind!
It's if I could skip them until very last in favour of something I would much rather have, without me getting the option, that I'd get miffed. -

Veterans do get to pick what they want in the new system. You keep all of the old Vet rewards, and pick what you want of the new rewards. Why would you want to lose old rewards, even if you didn't use them, when you are getting the new stuff on top of it already? Hell, depending on the amount of tokens you have, you'll probably get all the new rewards in one swoop once this goes live.
New players have to pick between the old stuff and the new stuff, and they don't have this instant 'get everything' drop when Issue 21 hits. They have to climb their way up the Reward Tree, while the Devs are basically taking the Vets and setting them up in the luxury tree-house at the top.
Only thing we can't seem to do with this new Reward Tree is throw apples at the freeps as we watch them climb. Not that anyone would want to do that... <shiftyeyes>
Say there are three new things that I like the look of and am able to get. However, I can only get one. ALL my other points have been auto-applied. I would much rather NOT have the Greek Letters and Vanity pets (Never ever use them) and instead be able to pick the three things I would like.
Now, I may be totally misunderstanding how the system works, which is more than likely given I can't get at the Ustream atm. However, if the above is true, whats the point in having 'Freedom' when all choice gets taken from you (as a vet making picks) -
I've never been fond of Flurry/Sands of Mu's animation, and something faster would certainly be favourable. However, I'm hard pressed to think of anything better =/
Still, would be nice. -

Webmaster Commander Marian King is head of an Arachnos Regiment. They are loyal and frankly enjoy being the NOT so standard minions. When you need cannon fodder, use the grunts. When you want someone dead? You send the Krimzon Guard.
Also, fully agree with people naysaying (rightly) people who tie their characters stories directly into canon Big NPCs. You know 'Son of Mako' or 'First cousin twice removed of Scirroco' kind of junk.
King, as an example, does have interaction with Recluse, as has been shown in fiction chunks for her. The interaction boils down to;
1) He's the boss. She follows his orders
2) She's a minion. A tough one but, frankly, he could annihilate her if he so chose
3) The KG are good at their job. Which means they get all the tough gigs.
It works, I think. The other members and Union RPers seem to have no objections either, which given some of them sits well with me
Edit: Also, agreed with the 'game plot happened, but 'Someone else did it''. I.E. 'Someone' destroyed the Psychronometron in Faultline with the help of Penny Yin. But it happened. None of my chars were directly involved.
They have helped fight back Arachnos and Sky Raiders while keeping the peace, however, along with beating up high ranking Arachnos and Raider personnel. It's very easy to edit writing slightly to avoid god-moding the game.
