Quote:You still see them from time to time in PI, Ouro and various AE's. They're just not as rampant. And Atlas still has people in, usually mooching under Atlas, lowbies running stuff and contests etc. There will likely be more in *checks* two daysThat's because there's never anyone in Atlas!
Union was full of farming spam (as was Defiant) a few years back (and pre AE it was all 'fill-for-me' PI farms), I'm guessing most dedicated EU farmers have jumped to Freedom. -
Quote:-except Union.Freedom might be the worst (depending on your pov of farming) but it obviously happens on all the servers.
Seriously. Never seen AE spam since the changes a way back. The only time you see farmers in AE is when working on an arc and then suddenly 8 Fire/Kin Trollers pop out of the portal one after another. Or Fire Tanks. -
The Chaser and Combat Walker ideas I would love to see come to fruition, but I also realise the work it might take for them to ever happen.

((Very good, fantastic twist at the end! Good to see you still going, Blue. They should be hiring you

Quote:Ugh, I'm going to have to wait for it to hit live, then work out just how many tokens I need and then ask if its possible to get them in one lump sum.I just wanted to point out that if you buy a subscription, you get all of your Reward Tokens up front...it's only the Paragon Points that are doled out once a month (on your "billing day", which is the same day each month even if you buy a multi-month sub).
Yes, yes I do want Celestial that badly -
Quote:Whelp, that's ME sortedIf one auto-renews monthly for a year, for $180 they get:
- 12 month's subscription ($180)
- 13 Reward Tokens doled out once a month (the extra is for the yearly Token)
- 400 Paragon Points doled out once a month
If one buys a year in advance, and with the savings, buys Paragon Points, and in doing so, get enough Tokens to bump themselves up to Tier 9, they get:
- 12 month's subscription ($143.40)
- 13 Reward Tokens doled out RITE NAO
- 550 Paragon Points doled out once a month (an extra 1,800 from the above plan, which is worth $22.50 in Points)
- 2,800 Paragon Points RITE NAO (spending the $35 savings from yearly account), which gives you ANOTHER 2 TOKENS (1 Token for every 1,200 Paragon Points bought).
Those two plans cost exactly the same in real money. It's really a no-brainer if you plan to be VIP for a year.(and a bit poorer buuuuuut...hey ho)

Quote:I didn't realise that tripe was being treated as fact now...?They downgraded the hardware ... in anticipation of a massive influx of new players?!
Seriously?
(*is a sad supa-kitty*)
Here's a hint; hew Hardware can and, in all likelihood, WILL go wrong while it is installed and set up. Computers are EVUL like that. And they hate humans.
I should know... -

*prods Zwil* Oi! What about my question? Forget about the others...THEY won't sic the hyper-turbo-mecha weasels on you ¬¬

Nice Zwill
So, just to finally clarify; if I buy a certain ammount of sub-time once Freedom hits, will I get the Veteran points to spend up front?
I want the Celestial armour, and I'm willing to pay for it -
Quote:The Devs actually did provide some numbers a ways back in a livestream, something like a 60-40 Hero-Villain split. You have numbers to back this up?
-Tries his hand a trolling the same way everyone else does.
That said, I for one don't think that means villains need 'fixing'. Some folks simply never will play Villains, and that's perfectly fine and also up to them.
What would be more advisable is listening to those who do play villains and try and improve it for them (less lackey-ism, make the skybox less grungy, etc) -
Quote:Yes, because common sense is being an apologist...And out come the apologists.
Nothing to see here folks. Same old, same old.
Owait.
I'm in Europe. Guess who got a load of sucky downtime during the old maintenance schedule and server list merge downtimes?
Oh. That's right. Europe.
And before that? Oh yes, the forums which never saw ANY Dev comments, or even any acknowledgement that the EU even existed, when everything went to the Americans.
Because I can criticise the Devs a whole heap on stuff I feel they've done wrong or designed wrong (CoT, Keyes, many more) but, as soon as it doesn't suit your argument that, Waaaaah, the Devs are out to get you and ONLY you, I'm instantly an apologist.
Seriously. Cry some more. -
Quote:'Should be', yes. Clearly isn't, however. Like I said, stuff goes wrong. What can start as a simple maintenance can turn out a lot more complex if stuff goes wrong.I would note (again barring timezone confusion) that the servers should be up at the moment ... and the login server is still refusing connections (or at least my attempts to connect to the login server keep failing).
Put it this way; would you rather the servers were up and lagging, crashing and generally making life suck, or would you rather the Devs took a little longer to make sure that, when they do come up, they work better?
They really aren't out to make specific people or groups lives a misery, and this is coming from someone who remembers the OLD EU Forums and service (i.e. non-existent contact or support)
Except Black Pebble...everyone know Marketing is evil >_> -

So, yes, there was an announcement.
And, again, heaven forbid anything ever goes wrong. But, of course, the Devs are JUST out to spite people, naturally...
Edit: Damn, ninja'd -
I've never heard of the first two on the offensive list, Forbs
Is that a difference across the pond?

Quote:See, something must be very wrong here. The one and only huge problem with redside is trying to form a team and being completely unable to even in primetime because of lack of players on redside.
!!!This needs fixing!!!
Because I'm on Union, which is statistically less likely to have as many players as the American servers (possibly).
I can play at fairly late times, not even main prime-time...and I have NO problem finding teams.
Use channels. Bully some friends into playing the game. Are you just expecting to log on and instantly get an invite? If so, 'You're Doing It Wrong.' -
Quote:^ Yes. VERY Yes, pleaseI have to agree with Sam about this. The current Arachnos order always bothered me a bit. The very motif of the organization. is a creature that's very orderly, methodical and patient, but the whole, attack each other freely to prove who's the fittest doesn't see to jib with it.
I'd love for Arachnos to be recreated with Recluse putting his foot down and saying enough is enough. Rearrange the system to say you can challenge anyone you like, but in a way that it doesn't disrupt the day-to-day operations of Arachnos (much like ST:TOS Terran Empire, challenge as you will, but if it should endanger the Empire's goals then you face the Booth.)
"Huntsman Jones! With respect. you've again proven your inexperience detracts from your ability to lead effectively for Lord Recluse. Since the operation is now concluded... barely, I demand you stand with me before the Arbiters and be judged.... or face me in the Web of Equals" -
...There is not enough contempt in this life or any other for someone as low as that.
Pitiful. I hope he gets caught and the stuff returned. -
/Signed. Every time. It makes it easier for non-solo SGs too. I see no downside to this.

What, the personal taste that the Well is a god-moding, rail-roading meta-game kick in the fork for all the RPers and Lore hounds that have ever given a damn, by making every single character reliant on the Puddle of Annoyance for further power and making it not only sentient, not only capable of godmoding characters directly, but ALSO being as dense as two very short, thick planks and-
Yeah, y'know what? You don't even care. You just want a reply to one line and winky at. Well, have fun. -
-
Quote:Yeah? Now name any other examples of stuff like that from Villain side.*confused* but... in that case you DO win. You hand Lord Recluse his helmet. You beat up most of the Freedom Phalanx (including Statesman if you're a VEAT) in various story arcs.
Hint: There are none, because the old writers wrote villains as lackeys.
