Agreed and /signed, more randomisation in attack animation would be a great thing to see.

Skipping over quoting anything and going from personal experience here;
StJ on Stalkers is harder and not quite as fun to use than on Scrappers. Until 26 you only have two attacks to use as builders (using AS mid-combat is nigh impossible) and Synapse's example of using Placate ONLY works if there are no other enemies attacking you. Otherwise you will simply waste a placate mid-combat when another enemy hits you.
While pre-Beta I thought that Stalkers would have it better having pure BU...my god was I wrong. On my scrapper I systematically abuse CR far, FAR more than I ever use BU, even on other Scrappers and any other AT. For the first time it is a regular and loved part of my attack chain, rather than remembering to fire it off on bosses and such.
That gets completely taken away on Stalkers. And I'm not entirely sure why. Especialyl since the loss of Rib cracker leaves them with only two combo builders until level 26 and Shin Breaker.
How to 'fix' the percieved problem, though? I have no clue. The 'problem' with Stalkers is their incredibly tight build space, due to the 'necessity' of BU, Placate and AS. -
An 'easier' (percieved) solution would be to simply have an extra 'ignored as spammer' list that you can use to blam RMT's onto if they bother you. I mean, are people seriously incapable of putting these idiots on ignore?

Wow, I never thought I'd see people be AGAINST something to make it easier for people to like and play the game...

Fine, changed the OP wording. -
I would much rather replace the current Street Justice Assassination strike for Stalkers animation with that from Rib Cracker, or something, anything that looks weighty and painful.
Hoenstly, the current one has about as much weight as a slap with a damp paper bag. The stance is awkward, the 'charging punch' doesn't fit Street Justice and....overall it is horrifically lacking while the rest of the set is solid and beats you up until you pay attention to how awesome it is.
Can we please get this changed/an option to change it? -
Quote:It sounds better when done by Bill Bailey in the style of KraftwerkI reckon the OP needs some farming equipment
(Not the best recording, sadly, but you can still get most of it)

Quote:I see what u did tharYou people are clearly deluded.
Didn't you know it had already been decided that this is useless set?
You should read more threads so you are better informed.
Then you would know it is clearly worthless since it doesn't outperform Super Strength (especially KO Blow).
But yeah, I think the sfx could do with a quick looking at, just to add some umph.
But mechanically and animation wise, the set rocks. -
There is currently nothing in game. If they DO add a 'big gun' set...smeg almighty there would be scorch lines on my wallet, caused by money leaving it at the speed of sound.

...a two YEAR necropost?
Is that some new kinda record, or something? Sheesh... -
Long AND short answer?
Your guess is as good as ours, sadly. Apparently we're not cool enough (or clipping is somehow too much for us to deal with) to have cool parts like that... -
Quote:Because being forced to accept -1 settings just to get through stuff is acceptable? As opposed to the FOUR other options the other way?Can say the same thing in the other direction.
As Praetoria is "extra" content I see no reason why it shouldn't be a little tougher. They should make it part of the advertising campaign.
I find your perspective on balance flawed. -
Quote:An Optional challenge should be OPTIONAL.*sad face*
Praetoria feels like the game used to back at the start. Can't we have an area that's a little tougher than the rest?
ps: thanks VK
If you want harder stuff, there are difficulty settings for a reason. There's no excuse for pimp-slapping everyone else who doesn't want that with the unreasonable low level mobs in Praetoria.
What's the point of putting all that effort and good writing which a lot of people would like to enjoy in missions where people like me simply cannot be having with the frustration of Praetorian mobs, their mass of AoE, exotic damage and higher than base accuracy?
EDIT: Arcana, is it still true that Preat mobs start with 65% base accuracy instead of 50%? I swear that was something brought up ages ago... -

So, yeah, my response was still justified it seems.
Me and some friends sometimes farm RWZ when bored or we have chars that need levels (I hate level 1-22. Pre-SOs is a drag for me now)
There's a huge difference between farming, and being a leeching door sponge on some random strangers mission. Even when with friends, I still contribute what I can (even if it IS just a meatshield/alphamagnet until level 10)
So, yeah....you have more important thins to do than play the game? Good luck with that. -

I'd rather avoid the 'sniper' thing (Given how bad the rep is on sniper attacks) and have an honest to go Range or Assault/Armour AT.
No, Kheldians and VEATs don't cut it. What about a DP/SR character? Energy Blast/Invul? Fire/Fire?
Nope. Apparently those concepts are, for some reason, forbidden.
Honestly, that setup of AT makes the most logical and concept filling sense to me. And no, don't even bother wheeling out that tired ould horse called 'Tankmage' for flogging; VEATs and HEATs have already proved that Ranged and armour combined does not a tankmage make. The Dev's aren't stupid. -
The only reason I bought the costume slots...well, ok, the thing that pushed it over for me was the fact I needed points bought to get the Celestial Armour. Plain and simple.
Had I not needed that boost, then I would have been having serious annoyance issues over the price, given how damn long we waited for extra costume slots. -
Quote:Yes, dear god, THIS! Why do I have these...these things of glowy stuck to my hands? This needs to be extended to all of Super Strength, all of Martial Arts and all of Street Justice, just to name a few.
OK, one caveat - I still want to see the hit effects on the actual enemies, but I want to get rid of the disco ball lights on Martial Arts, the breaking wind on Street Justice and the "power glows" on Super Strength. We can already do this for representative toggles, so why not representative attack sets?
For all these 'natural' applicable sets, it would be NICE to have a natural looking option... -
Praetorian AT; Stats: Still Inferior
Rikti AT: Superior
All Hail: Lineage of War -
I can remember what I buy, thankfully. For me.
That doesn't mean the market UI isn't an Omnissiah forsaken abortion of terribad-tastic Fail proportions.
I mean, seriously, who does the UI designs around here? They've been doing a pretty low quality job for some time now. And no, I couldn't do any better, before anyone pulls that one out. BUT, if I was being paid for a job, I'd want to be sure I was producing something that worked as intended and wasn't basically a walking QoL disaster.
That clearly doesn't apply for the UI design. -
Quote:You have seen 'Rib' Cracker, right? We need a "kick 'em in the jimmies" option, Saint's Row 3 style. Suffering an ungodly level of pain second only to childbirth. Shame they left that out of Street Justice
I hate to break it to ya, kiddo, but you just failed biology. They ain't no ribs -
Quote:This is the point, though. Since GR, there is meant to be a grey area, not just the black and white.I had no such desire. I found Aaron to be a rather sad character. Filled with false justifications for his horrific acts. Punching him in the face, doing some other random act of violence to him, is just feeding in to his worldview.
It's harder, but ultimately the heroic thing to treat him well, give him over to the authorities and walk away. I always respect when Police Officers treat suspects like human beings and I expect nothing less of 'heroes'.
That's all the choice you get, though; be a 'proper' hero, or be an outright ****** or 'justified' type and kill him.
There is no third option. And that is lame.
