Quote:Why is it such a problem to have events and things like the Ski Run, just without date locked costume parts? (I.E. having the the parts available at all times)or at least have events that had no unique items associated with them. They'd probably be pretty boring like that, but at least no one would be upset with the whole limited item issue. *shrugs*
I, for one, do not go 'Oh, I wouldn't run X if the Santa hat wasn't a reward.' I and others like me, surprise surprise, run the holiday content simply for the fun of it. I run the Ski slopes to see if I'm any less derpy than I was last year (Smart money is on no) and beat up banners if people are doing it because, well, why not?
Why not? is a very good question, actually. Why the hell not? -
Cord, one serious question here;
WHY are the Death Mages fuchsia? It's quite possibly the most un-inspiring and...well...unvillanous combination you could have given them! Grey/Black and purple, now, that's the staple of many a brooding villain.
But pink? And the blue, yellow and orange combination on the Ruin Mages?
It just....it...no. It doesn't work. It honestly doesn't. Please, can we get some changes to them? After the feedback I think you did a great job on the physical re-designs, ones I have come to love more and more by the day. Sadly, I cannot say the same for the colour schemes. -
Seven year old game engine says No.
That simple, really. It's not for lack of knowing or wanting to make it happen. -
Praetoria is level 50 content, scaled down badly.
The story is great. The mob strength and ambushes are not. -
Quote:In that example, given they all went in expecting to die, I'd guess that some if not all had poison capsules or something.I agree that sometimes the game makes things happen that you'd not do, but there is way worse.
Like, you defeat that Resistance guy on the roof. "... you killed him ... " - SAYS WHO? Whatever happened to 'defeating' All this time I defeat and arrest, but suddenly, I killed? Wasn't this new content all about CHOICES?
Right! You get a choice later! Betray and KILL your contact A, or betray any KILL your contact B.
(I hope this got fixed by now. Given the content was pretty new back then. I would have loved Defeat A or Defeat B or have both attack you, and when you defeat one the option to Kill or Not Kill - the latter resulting in the other attacking you. Or doing the killing and it is too fast for you to stop it.)
I know *I* wouldn't want to deal with the 'hopitality' of the PPD... -
We STILL don't have EATs in the AE
AE needs TLC, stat -
He DOES look like Jack Black
However, and this a big however; Circle of Thorns colours badly need looking at again.
The minions and LTs are fine. But dear god the Bosses nearly gave me an aneurism. I mean, Ruin Mages? And ESPECIALLY the Death Mages. What part of 'Black and PINK is not scary!' doesn't kick in, here? Blue and yellow/orange just clash horrifically. I mean, can someone send these guys a colour wheel? Please?
(Give me your job, damn your eyes!!)

As for 'higher order'....There is none higher than we.

I'm hoping the recent new rig for the dog's/wolves at Halloween mean they're looking at rigs again.
Then again, given the whole addiction to 'New shinies are good, LOVE THE NEW SHINIES!!', expecting them to, y'know, go back and fix stuff (yeah, I KNOW that fixing it can sometimes take as long or longer, but it's short term vs long term here) is possibly a bit much to even hope for... -

Quote:Like I said, agree to disagree. You don't want stuff buyable. I (and others) want stuff to be buyable, on top of whatever methods are viable in game.I've never slammed anyone's opinion. I fully understand your opinion and there's a part of me that agrees with it. However, what you refuse to accept because you disagree with it, is that the fulfillment of your stance is inconsistent and destructive to my stance.
I get it, you don't see it that way. But I take a great deal of umbrage at the idea that my view is somehow elitist, 'slamming', etc. I really don't understand why you folks can't just try to see that a reasonable person can have a contrary view.
Ultimately, it's going to be down to the Devs and Marketing to see which stays or becomes reality.
Edit: Sorry Sam -
I love the snake hair. It's a crying shame it's not animated, but I understand why it wasn't. Even so...waaaant
The halloween faces are fugly as hell...even more so than an intentional 'ugly' look should be >_>
But I love me the brain in a jar. And the snake hair. Did I mention how much I love the snake hair? -
Heck, I didn't even know what the term 'JRPG' WAS until people started harping on about it. That shows how much it's influenced me...
-
Yeah add me to the list of those considering normal mapped faces a failed experiment. It was worth a shot, but, compared to the other faces, they really do run, skip and throw themselves head first into the uncanny valley.

Quote:Thankfully, this game isn't your perfect world. Because, guess what, SOME people like that kind of thing, and don't instantly go 'OMGJRPGhatehatewaaaah!' and instead are reminded of this guy;Meh, in a perfect world, Final Fantasy would stay out of my comic book super hero game. Are there at least weapons that don't look like they came out of a jRPG?

So, wait...this isn't on live right now, is it?
Because either that or my Store isn't working properly -_-
Edit: NVM, found it. Why is it on the VERY last page? That's stupid. -
It's no different from wanting costume code powers in the store, really
-
Ugh, spoke too soon. 'Outdated GFX drivers' message has hit me on life, too. Bloody thing -_-
-
Still down. And oh look, our old friend 'Outdated Graphics Drivers!' warning is back...
Hope that doesn't make it to live... -
Quote:Well, ultimately, both stances are opinion. You're correct. Thus, I just put Sam on ignore as well so he can ignore me, and I can ignore him. Everybody wins.
You, however, are arguing that yours is the right one and should be the ONLY one in game. We are arguing that both methods should be in-game, thus being fully inclusive of both opinions.
See what I'm getting at? You're the only one slamming other peoples opinions here.
