    I understand the situation perfectly.
Wrong, I am content with the Coyote as is, but ALSO have no objections to changes to it that would improve it for other people, or buffs to its stats such as a stealth aura.
Saying it is somehow 'broken' is just stupid, however.

I am not content with the Packs for various reasons, and I know I'm not alone in that feeling. With the Coyote power, if I hadn't wanted it, I would have simply not bought it, much like I did with the Gunslinger pack and the Alsatian pet. That doesn't mean I am decrying them as 'broken' (although I did have different issues with the Gunslinger pack).
The Super packs, however, are an issue, because I do want the Elemental Order costume parts, but the ONLY way to get them is through hit and miss gambling. That is an example of something 'broken'.

You are entitle to my opinion, as you are to yours.

This argument you're using could be applied to literally everything that comes out. From now on, the devs don't have to balance or adjust powers again ever. Don't like it? Don't play it!

The argument is that if it was a little more desirable than "worse than NR but neato looking" it may be more popular. It's true some people will be buying it anyway. I don't think that means there's no room for improvement and anyone who doesn't like it as-is can't offer feedback.
Oh hell, I'm not saying it's utterly 100% perfect. I'd be up for them maybe including a non-see-through stealth effect, maybe slowing the animations down and certainly slowing the idle animations down.

But, at the very core of the power, it's not broken or anything. So, while changes might be a nice thing, the power itself is still perfectly useable.
The argument I'm replying to is saying it's a total waste of time and a 'bad' power. When all that is is difference of opinion.

The point was the fact that the manner in which the Black Wolf Pet and Elemental Order costume set was something that someone who wants those things could complain that they've being distributed in an odd fashion vs. the coyote power, which is just simply something you can buy or not buy, as you may like.
    Like it? Buy it.
Don't like it? Don't buy it.
Like the Wolf Pet and/or the Elemental Order costume set, but don't like the Super Packs? You're out of luck. He was saying that he felt that this was a more understandable situation to voice criticism over, as opposed to just simply not wishing to buy something because they don't like the item.

Get it yet? Or are you just leaping to any and every defense of the super packs, because you can't fathom why anyone would criticize them to the extent that people have?
Thanks EK, thats spot on. And now I have to ask you to get out of my mind, it's a little crowded in here already

This one. This one looks good.

No, skin is not bad when it serves a purpose! Whether that is for ease of movement, convenience or, yes, to look sexy, that's fine. That outfit does NOT feel like it fits into any of those categories, and thus falls into 'skin for the sake of it', which is a STUPID category. It's as [Krr'kar] simple as that. Deal.

Yes, that other language is all made up. You'd sound insane too if it was 3am and you'd just had to put together a massive hand-in with stupid formatting restrictions. Frelling Uni...

Oh god, PLEASE tell me it doesn't dive headlong into the uncanny valley like the Steampunk faces did? They never fixed the unnatural, waxy sheen they put on those...

3D guys, look back at Mirror Spirit to see how to do faces right, damnit!

    Vanguard HQ, The Rikti Warzone

The day itself had been uneventful. Besides the occasionally muted thud of an outposts automated artillery gun, or a brief chatter of gunfire as patrols spotted distant targets, even the scarred expanse of the White Plains area seemed to sit silent and still.
Silence would have ruled within the confines of the Vanguard main bunker too...had it not been for the sound. The rising and falling dirge, the hummed tune, even though there were no lips or mouths that hummed it.

"Kenny?" Kitsune Vixen whispered, as she crept to the doorway. The be-furred doctor, dressed in her lab coat and medical equipment, rested a hand on the armoured arm of the Rikti stood just inside the room.

Traditionalist Psi-Scout Ky'Net turned his head, nodding once to her, ruby eyes shining faintly.
"Our singing," he said simply, nodding to the circle of Rikti Traditionalists that had stopped and gathered in the centre of the room as the news had come in. Pskyers, warriors, guardians and technical specialists. Helmeted, bare headed, armoured and un-armoured. The Rikti swayed from side to side, silent except for the reverberating hum.

"The Fallen: We remember," a synthesised voice murmured behind Vix, causing her to jump slightly. A fully armoured commando stood behind them, but she recognised the personal markings and subtle patterns on the armour.

"Fal'Knar." She nodded to the soldier, who bowed his head in return. "This is how Rikti sing?"
"We sing: for the fallen. Sing for: Hero among Heroes. For: Man among Men. For: Paragon," Fal'Knar replied, before bowing his head and seamlessly joining the sound.
"We knew him as a monster: leader of monsters," Ky'Net picked up, causing Vix to blink as she looked back to him. "Then we knew him as: a leader of men. Finally: we knew him as a Paragon of Heroes. An exemplar: icon: mentor. We knew him as: Statesman."

The hummed song rose in pitch, and Vix could feel the psychic glow that linked the Rikti Traditionalists. She glanced at a group of nearby Vanguard mentalists, and knew they could feel it to. There was something serenely beautiful about the voiceless music, something hard to fathom. Subconsciously she reached up a hand to rub her face, brushing away the tears that were starting to trickle down her cheeks.

"They called him: Incarnate of Zeus," Ky'Net added, lifting his head. "Reality: Incarnate of Men. A living example. It may be he was one of a kind."

"While mankind still lives, he won't be," Vix replied with a shake of her head. "We won't forget him. And, through that example, more will come. Heh," she chuckled weakly, "Names may come and go, but Heroes are eternal."

So saying she fell silent, instead lending her mind to the psychic choir, the Vanguard mentalists following suit. The song rose and hummed on, Rikti and Human united in their eulogy.

On the heroside, the heroes stop him and they can keep playing the game.

    Everyone is happy
Picard just called. He apologises, but there's simply not enough facepalm to go around.
  9. I've seen it in AE. I have no idea re: demo-editing, sadly.

Oh cry me a river. You don't want it? Don't buy it! No one (I hope) is forcing you to.

This is why we cannot have nice things...
  12. Yes, well done, the OP was wrong and said so a number of pages ago. Good reading comprehension there, folks.

    Sheesh...
  13. Hmn, costume is cool, but I agree on losing the open midriff...OR losing the connecting band things. They make it look a little odd, somehow. Possibly due to colour clash in the black/white/red thing, not sure.
  14. Only one crit; page layout on this one was hella confusing to follow. I did get kinda lost.

Still love the comic though, and faved the homepage now
  15. Meh, am I the only one happy to just wait until we get some official confirmation on who it actually is?
Personally I think it's a cool costume. And it looks Longbow-ish, but whatever.

Still a little disappointed in the choice of guests, though. As in 'Why are they just complete costume pack sets? In duplicate from time to time, no less?'
Sure, have one or two complete pack sets, and the Animal pack characters are at least quite well made. But....meh. Could have been a bit more creative and also seemed less like another sneaky money grab oportunity. Maybe I'm just cynical...

(Note: Not faulting the actual art quality. That itself is really damn good. Only the costume design.)
  16. I do miss when they knew that, hey, the tutorial should TEACH YOU STUFF. Not leave that to a partially rail-roading arc looking at you Graves... that only starts at level 5...

    This. Thank you.

Seriously, people. If it was the darned mess that was the Super packs before they let us know there would eventually be a way to get the Elemental Order costume parts another way, then sure, it'd be a valid complaint (costume set that requires what is essentially gambling to have a shot at getting is not cool)

But, unless people are actually having Paragon employed goons come around and mash their heads into the keyboards until they click 'Buy'....seriously, what the heck are you kvetching about? Don't buy the damn thing if you don't want to! Like I did with the Gunslinger set, except for the cigarette, because I thought the rest was dross that I didn't need. But I'm sure other people find use for it.
    Deal.

The character I use this on is a Controller. That means lots of clicks and, to date, no toggles. When fighting, I switch to human. When there's running to do? Coyote. I have the thing keybound to 1, and it takes about a split second to shapeshift.

There is no 'less useful' about it. All there is is the person I quoted kvetching a load of nothing, for nothing, by nothing.

  21. I do find it odd how there are three Praet Clockwork and an IDF member in there.

I know, I know, player costume parts. Most of them are just all of one or other of the sets, though.

Edit: Huh, I realise why Desdemona looks so pale. She's wearing a Carnival of Light mask. Nice touch, that.
  22. I think you got the posts mixed up, Beasty. This one has the link to the non-discussion post.

  24. Yes, because Santa Claus is in the picture, in a red and white spandex uniform and standing in the same row and rank as the members of Longbow. I'm clearly an idiot and silly person for even believing for a moment that the unknown person might be a member.

Edit: Colour balance...I don't think that's it, frankly.
  25. Eh, I'm just gonna wait on official sourcing, myself.
