And anyone who has /elec armour...A safeguard mish with an /elec end boss is hard as....good thing it was on a team.

Meh, compared to some of the things out there that really bite (e.g. costume parts actually sticking through each other...) this does seem like a bit of a low priority one. Your weapon colour is off for, ooo...lesse...however long it is stealth is on, until you then leap upon a mob and dispense finely tuned justice with smashing and crashing andbloodgutsgooorree...

I think everyone and their pet robot horde wants different looks to be choosable. It has, afaik, been asked for before. Ergo, it ain't happening anytime soon, if at all. We can hope, and beg, and wish...just saying it is more likely to not happen

The alternate suggestions sound good. I admit quite freely that what I dont know about programming/designing could fill...well, an entire and comprehensive guide of the subject. Ergo, why I make suggestions and support suggestions I like.

In the RP folds, I guess it would be muchly asked for. I KNOW that most people simply skip them. Hells, even I do at creation time, sometimes because I cant be bothered at the time, or because I havent decided yet.
But, really, I dont care if other people are laughing. In the same way I tend to ignore people who are going 'lols I r gong solo 8 man mobs. U r all n00bs, I died !!1111' and that sort of thing. Thats not why I play the game, ergo, I dont need to listen to it.

Something that pulls up your actual specs would be really nice (hieght, colours, etc)
And a diary or something is actually a good idea, or a 'bio' page. E.G Description is a short thing, with deatails (see above), whereas Bio is a full blown biography. What it says on the packet.

Wait...what? That kinda, sorta, totally defeats the point of the Veteran Awards. Costumes and respecs can be got by anyone who has no life and complete dedication to influence farming. Whereas the powers and costume parts are things money cant buy.

The paradox looks pretty neat now, not too overcooked.

The rez I actually like the idea of. I dont think theres much like it. Yes there are self rezzes, and ally rezzes, but not an AoE rez. I think take out the invulnerable bit though, as the knockback should mean most foes will be away anyhow. And probably remove the damage.

OK in this thread I'm going to try to review the "bad" Veteran Rewards that seem to have been made cos the devs didn't have any ideas. I will attempt to make a better idea to replace em. Lets begin.

6 Months: Greek Alphabet
What can I say this is horrible, I have never see any1 use it before and frankly how many people create Greek themed characters.

Idea: Logos. Put logos for NCSoft, City of Heroes, City of Villians, other NCSoft games, etc etc. This would be a lot cooler.

27 Months: Anime-style tech armor
To be frank compare it to real Anime-style tech armor and you get nothing like it. It is just too boring and not unique enough.

Idea: Buttoned Shirts. Allow each button on the shirt to be cuztomizable to everyones taste. Also allow different types of buttoned shirts.

39 Months: Boxing Set
Useless. I can't see a use for a boxing set and at 39 months there should be more adventureous rewards.

Idea: Astronaut set. Imagine it as a real astronaut costume, without the NASA logos and everything. I know I'd use it.

45 Months: NOTHING
Well they should've put something in instead of nothing. Now that we have the opportunity let's suggest something else.

Idea: Mystic Outfit. Similar to CoT costume. All the Magic originers would be happy.

54 Months: Another power not previously selected
It was obvious that the devs were out of ideas. That throws the whole idea of 'PERMAMENT' labelled on the earlier ones.

Idea: Hand of Power - Superior DMG, Chance for Hold, Meele Attack

Does exactly what says above. Some may say its overpowered but to stay 4 yrs and a half you really deserve this.

Story Canon > Player Canon > Mechanic Canon.

Personally, I think a sort of mass guidebook would be a good idea. Im sure nearly everyone knows the Union Handbook. Why not a 'Paragon Guidebook' RP inspired guide. I know that something of that scale would be a huge thing (and doubtless a lot of arguing) but it would be a useful point of reference. Note down IC locations and such, IC scales of power and relations...stuff like that? Otherwise, until the end of time, there will still be those awkward moments in RP, followed by "((Right, how do we fix this?))", "((I dunno -shrug- )).

A thought, anyhow. We have basic parts that could mesh nicely (the power graphs on the handbook and such). Again, as ever, it would depend on people agreeing on stuff.

Yeah, anything like that makes me flip especially people with names like 'Son of Recluse' or some such guff. I mean, would Recluse actually do that? Technically he's immortal, so hes hardly going to try and create someone else with his level of power.
Basically anything that gives players an unrealistic ammount of power. Or, at least, *all the time*. For example, one person I know does have a character that can become godly powerful. But they are very, *very* careful on how they use it, speciffically for story use most of the time. Anything that is done with skill and consideration is good. Badly thought out and badly played means that its doomed

I like the new set suggestion, just not the Big Bang. If anything, make it like a nuke. Or a Paradox, which is more like a Singularity, but with its own powers and such. The current tier 9 just seems way too powerful.

Are they? How so? I know they had that horrible bug with the Bane packs, but not the Crab ones...?

Thing is, the animations/powers w/e they are, are *already in the game*. The NPCS use them. All you have do is annoy an NPC Bane Spider and you can see them use them. Is there no way that the devs can apply that to the powers used by PC Banes? Otherwise, aside from the ranged powers, it simply feels like we're playing a standard mace goon.
