Damn. Thanks to Diggis, its early, im still not with it /excuses
Myeah. Personally I dont have any problem with the current system...except that sods law dictates that whatever i have to sell is worth carp, and whatever I would like to buy is worth a small goldmine in australia -
Hmmm...Ive never been a number cruncher, but this is getting me ready to slap respecs on my Khelds and their I13 alt builds now.
Human form and Dwarf/Nova form builds...tasty. So long as I stop listening to the insidous little voice that comes with Mids and keeps murmuring about pruple sets and bonuses...
And, back to a previous post about Crabs and PVP...I *wish*...I wish... -

I would like to see a button added to the wentworth interface that will empty the remainder of my salvage and recipes and list them all for 10 inf.
[/ QUOTE ]
For you, maybe. The OP listed why he sells to the AH, and why he made the suggestion. -shrug-
Why are you selling stuff at the AHs for 10 Inf? Nothing I have ever gets listed that low. If it won't go for the price I can get from a vendor (and that means 300 Inf or more for Invention Salvage) it doesn't get listed.
[/ QUOTE ]
Read the OP. Its nothing to do with cash, its speed of emptying the inventory.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well then, a sell remaining salvage to vendor button would be a considerably better option, wouldn't it?

Get sick of finding I cant log in, checking around then finding that all the 'Status monitors' are as broken as a broken thing from planet borked -

Even though Dragon has a point, so does Astrobear.
Cheap IOs for all! -
Ongoing plot; Operation Conflict - Union Server
[u]Participants;[u]
The Krimzon Guard
Dusk Spiders
Anyone else who would like to get involved in a war.
[u]Brief;[u]
The Krimzon Guard are heading Operation; Conflict. Their goal is to hammer Longbow forces in Nerva Archipeligo, Bloody Bay and Sirens Call. The forces in Warburg are also targets.
[u]OOC;[u]
IC teams and bigger groups attacking in PVP zones. The First attacks will be in Warburg, to gather a stockpile of missiles. These will then be deployed in the other zones to decimate Longbow forces.
Heroes, should they want to get involved, will be concerned with stopping the Regiments from causing untold damage.
This does in part depend on what changed I13 brings to PVP and the NPCs there. The events may or may not go ahead depending on what happenes with the changes.
[u]Contact;[u] reply here should you be interested, or send a PM. The more the merrier, it would be nice to spark a really large event.

As someone who has now got every single veat branch to 50 and fully IO'd I think I'll comment here. VEATs as game chars are phenomenally well designed and balanced - people who believe widows are OP obviously have not played them properly as they have severe flaws that I spent an age through design plugging. Same goes for each of them tbh - they excel and fail in different areas (I could reel them off but it'd take forever lol).
Also this obscure myth that banes need a buff drives me up the [self censored due to too much swearing] creek. Mine is more than capable of taking aggro, playing as a blaster, switching to protect squishies and even go toe-to-toe with an AV with ease. He's also awesome in the arena and in RV - if yours sucks then its your need to learn the char and sort ya build.
I for one love the veats and think NC did a blinding job creating them - they made 4 new ATs effectively that is tailored for more than 1 task but each incredibly contrasting. They are also incredibly scalable and can be specced innumerate ways to suit a persons taste sooooo easily.
The fact we got a special costume I thought was awesome, ok not mixing em up I don't like, but it fits more thematically with the game I feel. To the extent my Night Widow Starsixshot was the 1st veat I made at i12 launch and to this day he STILL always wears his widow armour as the look I got for it I love more than anything else I could create for him - and I spend eternities in the tailors and cossie creator!
Thank you NC for the following fun chars: Starsixshot (NW), Starscorponok (crab), Starskalor (bane) and Starseawing (fort).

^ This.
VEATs in numbers are shear evil. 8 man VEAT teams are nigh unstoppable, even on Relentless (hardest diff).
Yes they have holes, and my only gripe is that Crabs dont get KB resistance in Fortification, which annoys me no end. (Teamed up and ended up on the last mish of Makos 2nd arc...a cave full of knockdown. Shear pain.)
The only thing I can think of Costume wise is;
-The option of more armour slots
-Helmetless option on soldiers
-Fix the Crab/Bane chest a little, otherwise they all look like Crabs (minor grip)
-Buttcapes!
So, thats my tuppencehappeny. -

Hmm some of these points I agree with to a degree but essentially:
1: There are plenty of low level mobs in Mercy, they're just not right in front of the starter area.
2: This is an RPG, so in the context of the game it makes sense that the missions are nowhere near the contact, and at low levels it's a good way for new players to learn agro ranges, discover exploration badges and the like if they have to walk a fair distance to get to their mission. For more seasoned players it can be a little tedious having to walk all the way across the map to get to a mission, so maybe strike a bit more common gound as it were?
3: Most lvl 5-10 contacts have "Go See Lt Wincott in the Hollows" and the ones at lvl 15 have "Go See Security Chief(?) in <insert PVP zone here>". Again, this is a good way of introducing new players to areas and parts of the game they might not immediately be aware of. If you don't want to go there, just drop the mission from the contact. There are a few contacts that are, for example based in Steel Canyon, but all their missions are in Skyway City - wouldn't it make more sense just to stick 'em in Skyway in the first place?
4: Not sure I agree with this at all. I don't want to fight the same groups of enemies from 1-50 just because they happen to share the same origin as me; way to make the game tedious as hell! (On a side note.. that's an interesting way to look after enhs LN; I tend to just use DO/SOs and not think about IOs until the late 40s. Thinking about it, your way probably does work out cheaper because the lower level IOs probably go for next to nothing, and you don't have to worry about red enhs when you level. Might actually give that a try)
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm with Steel Rat on this.
I do agree with a further comment that we need a couple more contacts on villains tho. Snakes ad nauseum is... nauseous
[/ QUOTE ]
They make such a huge thing about the damned snakes...then you only ever see the real potential in one arc from Grandville, of all places.
Snakes, Spiders, Snakes, Infected, Snakes...*Repeat Order input*...ad infenatum. With only two contacts for Mercy (Kalinda - Mongoose, Burk - Creed) it gets so dull so fast.
To be honest, I think there should be more incentive to stay in your starter zones for longer. People are so set on getting the hell outta Dodge (Atlas) asap. Admittedly its into higher level places, and rightly so, but I find Hero side its just base heads until lvl 5, then rinse through the Hollows missions until around 14, then go wherever the travel power takes me
More content/structure to content would be nice, I think. Maybe stop trying to add new and shiny, and polish things that have lost the shine. -
(( Rumours are abound in the Rogue Isles. The Spiders are up to something. Troops have been moving around Warburg more recently. Sirens Call is just as much a warzone as ever.
25/11/08, evening. What appears to have been a four-Operative Arachnos Squad made a strike on the Bloody Bay Longbow base. Casualty and Fatality lists were through the roof, especially on the beaches, where what looks like two mini nuclear explosions have occured. The applied force cuts out the involvement of the local Shivans, and points to something else.
A name is being heard more often; The Krimzon Guard. People might remember a shadowy group during the Cold War/just after, that used to operate in Russia that went by a similar name, that was rumoured to have something to do with the Council. Now it seems there is a Regiment under the Arachnos flag.
There something in the air...and one last rumour. An Arachnos Operation that is quite high status. Code-name: Conflict...
-Ground work for an upcoming plot that, hopefully, will involve a lot of Union. Watch this space- )) -
I was just thinking about this today, oddly enough...
Yeah, a little more room would be nice, I think. Especially seeing as you cant drop Contact, for arcs that are way below your current level. -

If we want the dev's to spend time on new content everytime instead of grading the whole game / engine up to modern standarts we will get passed very fast my newer games.
I rather have the curent stuff updated then a new zone.
[/ QUOTE ]
I agree with this, I believe that upgrading the core will buy the time to reinvest in content.
I am not a fan of new zones, I prefer ideas which attempt to make existing content more interesting. The original post of this thread is one such idea.
[/ QUOTE ]
Aye to that.
Personally, my little floaty cloud dream is that I15 (the coming storm) is in fact just that, a major overhaul. Its highly unlikely, I think.
But, if they could haul all current characters over to a CoX2, well...where do I sign? -
Much smoother chaining would be a major boon, I think. And maybe a slightly bigger boost to +acc if thats not possible. It always feels like you come off worse for picking AR. I still like it a lot, but, eh...
-
What, like putting someone in a Cyro-stasis tank? Or someone going afk dissapearing into the loos?
Its been rather useful, tbh. -
If this goes wrong, and we get taxed for simply playing games....well, lets jsut say Parliament will be getting a cricket bat to the head in the forseeable future...
That said, it would be nice not to ever have to get those annoying emails offering Inf for cash. Ever again =] -
Losing count of the number of times we've used that. Trust me.
-
Hmm, noted. Oh well.
Maybe just editing the animation for AR. The changing of firing from the hip to grenade to sniper shot is really clunky. If they had the rifle stock always to the shoulder, but the gun aimed down when 'at ease', it could be quicker to bring it up to sniper position for all the animations, only with differning activation times, etc.
But I know naff all about the technicalities...I just know its a swine to chain -

These are more quality of life issues rather than balance ones, I think.
My comments, from a redside perspective:
1. Havent had a problem with this, but then I always do the missions from the first contact. Splitting Darwins Landing into an 'east': green, lvl 1-3 and 'west': yellow, lvl 4-6 areas may be a good idea.
2. Somewhat agree. The cases I think should be changed: the only warehouse doors in Darwins Landing are way too far from Fort Darwin and Dr Creeds missions should be in a less random order: the ones with doors in Darwins Landing first and the ones with doors in Mercy after.
Also, being able to deliver a completed mayhem mission by phone would help - its not exactly a secret by that point.
3. Agree that the 'go talk to pvp/whatever' missions should have a 'no thanks' option that drops it without using up the every-3-days drop thingie.
[/ QUOTE ]
Agree with most of this, tbh.
However, I do get really sick of the lack of choices Red side for the initial contacts. Its the same stuff, no matter who or what you are, OVER AND OVER AGAIN...
Real epic creativity fail there, imo. Heroes get a LOT of choice and variety in their early levels, whereas Villains are straightjacketed early on. Would love to see this changed... -
I agree with the OP that AR is a very hard set to chain, if thats even possible. The recharge on slug, without slots, is not enough to make it a valid 1-2 with burst. The M30 grenade doesnt break the chain too bad, but things like sniper and flamethrower definitely do.
This is just me, personally, but Id love to see beanbag replaced with something like the Heavy burst from VEATs. Not as long as full auto, but useful to stick into a chain. If theres anyone that has actually *taken* beanbag, and is unhappy about the idea, well, its just an idea and an opinion.
Although I dont see any of the other blaster primaries with stuns in them...are there any? -
I think someone mentioned one of the main things;
This is Europe, its a European server. For me, at least, its pretty important. I really don't want to see it go unless the 'upgrade' is seriously worth it. And, to be honest, what I have seen of US Online players does not inspire me further. I don't particularly *want* to play with US people.
Don't get me wrong, a lot of my friends are from the US, and there are nice people there. But, for every nice person we could get, it doubles the amount of utter tools in the pool.
Just...really doesn't do anything for me, this topic. UNLESS they did is as part of a CoX2. -
