    Winter Event?

    [ QUOTE ]
I did the father time mission last night, must say that is the ugliest baby I've ever seen. I mean, all babies look like Winston Churchill, but this one looks like Churchill after a hard night drinking.

Although watching it try and get up the cliff had me in tears.

No, stop laughing at me! [censored], you try and climb this thing when the snows up to your neck!"

hehehe He is creepy, I agree.

Question; Can you only use the halo costume parts after lvl 30?

If so...thats sucks worse than Snaptooth solo at lvl 7! >.< Really, really annoying...

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yep. Agreed. What on earth is the point of allowing you to earn something at level 1 that you can't use till level 30? Almost as annoying as clicking on a present in Galaxy at level 1 and being flattened instantly by a group of level 7 snowbeasts...who thought THAT one up?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah. They allowed combat Auras at lvl 1, why not the halos?

  4. Do people read the i13 patch notes?
She was added in I13. As was the PD base portal.

a bit of an unfair advantage don't you think

    Welcome to life
  5. Doesnt even need to be that, it'd just be nice if it actually missed, rather than causing confusion and annoyance by 'hitting' when it actually misses.
  6. It seems a lot of people think that Hover is alright as it is. It also did get a boost in I13 in that it has -fly resistance, unlike regular fly.
  7. Its the girl in purple up the rope bridge thing in the Tiki lounge.

Go in the main door, and its against the right wall. You cant miss it unless you really are that blind
  8. [ QUOTE ]
I don't use that set, but going from experience, I'd leave it as is... I hate all that fanning around when Sands of Mu misses... just a waste of time.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The actual animation wouldnt have to be any different, but it should 'miss', like all other ranged sets, rather than 'hitting' and doing naff all.

And yes, the Whiff attack for the fail
  9. Playing on Villains, no idea if its the same on Heroes, Charged Bolts and Lightning Bolt from the Electrical Blast set dont actually have a 'miss' animation.

This is a bit minor, but when your expecting an attack to hit and it apparently does, that normally means an instant change of target. If the attack acutlaly misses, you know not to, but these dont.

Minor, I guess, but would be nice to see it corrected.

We had issues with a peer outside of our network that was part of the routing for a good portion of our player base this weekend. We've removed this peer from our routing options until they restore stability within their network.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Thanks for the update GR. It's a pity it took so long to identify the problem, but that can't usually be helped when there are third parties involved.

    [/ QUOTE ]

It didn't actually take that long. When I logged in for GG I had no trouble all night.

And I said it looked like a network problem. I'm just a genius. You may all worship me now.

    Oh, wait...too late.
  11. Looks like something Bruce Wayne might drive Hmm, shiny...
  12. Whereas in the past anything with -fly sent you groundward, Hover no longer gets affected by them, or if so it requires stacking, like most mez protect.

    Fr'example;
Air Superiority hits you while Flying. You fall.
Air Superiorty hits you while Hovering. You do not fall.
Air Superiority AND a web grenade hit you while Hovering. You fall (I think...)

Thats a guess, anyway. Anyone tested it thusly?
  13. I believe thats the case, Nine.

I agree, the rent is a bit of a daft idea, especially now. Sure, it might encourage people to play more, but surely to goodness getting bigger bases and more shiny kit is far greater an incentive then tax?

People dont play games to be taxed, they play them to have fun. Thats like putting a tax on the Markets or Enhancement stores (which they sort of do, anyway...) Not fun, not good, not worth it?
  14. It does totally depend on how well things go.

Sometimes its enough to make a Saint scream flaming hellfire and throttle people with his floor length beard. The team will be rubbish, the leader will refuse to lower the setting, the group will split at every turn and suck horribly. Quitting tends to ensue.

And then, sometimes, you get a group that would put any games SAS teams to shame. They dont talk much at all, except the 'gz's' and less frequent 'whatcha need?' for a wake...but they go through mobs or reds and purples in the blink of an eye, obliterating them as easy as they would yellows or whites.
Crab Spider/VEAT teams are exceptionally good at the latter, especially at slightly higher levels, where the mass stacked team buffs make a mockery of both the Purples higher hitting skills AND their inherent defences, due to the Spider Leadership trio. That and the horrendous ammount of AoE just means death

Its more a case of Purple CAN be better. Even on PuGs. But it does depend fully on the team.
  15. Hover DID just get a boost, as 'El Contessa' pointed out; - fly does zilch against Hover. A friend of mine I duelled with was very shocked when air superiority didnt work kehehehe...Even though I eventually lost (there was a 28 lvl difference, slot and suchwise) that made my day XD

    a quick idea

    Natural Travel Power: Free Running

    [/ QUOTE ]
Interesting idea, but I'm not clear what it adds to the game compared to the existing Fitness and Leaping pools.

The existing passive power Fitness/Hurdle gives you superhuman jumping ability (jump height of 3.3 metres! the world record for the high jump is 2.45) even before you start slotting it. Similarly, the existing passive power Fitness/Swift in combination with Inherent/Sprint gives you superhuman running ability. (Swift + Sprint is faster than an Olympic 100m runner and you can sustain it for a lot more than 100 metres.)

    [/ QUOTE ]

Honestly not a lot its really just another take on the current fitness pool

    [/ QUOTE ]

T'be fair, this is in a game wher the average CIVILIAN hieght is nearly all over 6 foot, verging on seven foot. (with the strange exception of two midget civilians seen in Cap Au Diable...tres wierd )

Again, I still think that they should simply balance the stamina and healt recovery levels, and not have the need for the fitness pool to actually just play. Maybe implement something like the Freerunning or Parkour ideas. Would certainly get my vote.
  17. Hmmm...great...
    Feed the Hamster more!

On a more serious note, *why* is this still happening? The fact that a /sync command was needed in the first place should set off a few warnings...

Isnt it about time that we got a much needed boost to the 'strength' of the server, or whatever is needed to actually make it stable? I admit to lack of knowledge on how that works, but surely to goodness there *is* a way to make the thing stable, right?
    Right...? -worried glances-
  18. Depending on how often you get to play and such, 1-50 isnt always that simple. My first 50 came after my 15 month Vet award, due to lack of being able to play that much, which annoyed me right royaly.

Now that I have a 50 both sides, however, Im happy to take the slow road. For me its RP over Exp, except occasionally when I really want to get to a certain point, such as a certain power or other.
Personally, No. But, as long as its not Real Money junk, I dont see the harm. Its when you stray into RTM that the apple pie goes sour, and starts a worm colony.

Hover: to stay in one place in the air

English isn't your first language Sorudo, don't try to tell those who do have English as thier first language what English words mean.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    ^ Be Told.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I don't think that's a particularly good attitude to have universally. I've known plenty of people who don't have English as their first language speak it, and know it, far better than a huge amount who do.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I have no issue with the language part of it. I *do* know tha the majority of the group I play with are actually Fins/Danes and such, and speak Enlgish better than me a lot of the time

I do have an issue with trying to hit us with a dictionary to try and make a suggestion a 'this is good you should agree' item.
Again, thats purely my opnion, and is as open to tearing apart as anyone elses =P

I have hover on my lvl 50 MM. Got swift with single fly slot in it, and three slotted hover itself with Freebird. I may, depending how it works out, simply switch a fly IO back in.

Hover = good for squishies and for added def + KB res on others
    Fly = Travel power

Sooo ... you don't want more fantasy stuff but you DO want wizard robes and skimpy elven outfits? How does that work out?

    Also, this cracked me up

    [/ QUOTE ]

    ^ This

Fantasy DOES NOT = WoW. WoW, in itself, isnt horrible. Its made by Blizzard, who are a damned good company. Its jsut populated by the utter dregs (for the most part, as far as I saw and hear) of tooldom known to MMOs. Partly why people seem to hate it.
    /endopinion

Fantasy stuff is as much as part of Heroic stuff as anything else. And more variety is GOOD! Thats what makes CoX so darned awesome. You can be a high-tech-hoojimaflip or a sword carrying, tooth gnashing hairy viking with a crime fixation ( well, axe....Sword Broots plzkthx? )

Every bit of variety adds to happiness. If its costumes, doubly so.

    As for Jays comment;

Also, Supergroup Member of the Month/Week! Basically the person who has gained the most Prestige for the SG. They would recieve some sort of badge and Very Rare recipe? Or maybe even a new "Supergroup Pride" Temp Power where they have an animation of their SG's logo and they shout out the name of the SG in text, this gives them a Dmg, Acc, Def bost and 50% prestige increase for 30 minutes? The temp power would last 1 week in real time, enough for a new SG Member of the Week/Month to be decided. But if you won it for the month, then it would last a month in real time. Sound good?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    And to this ^^

    [/ QUOTE ]

Sounds overpowered. And unfair on everyone else who might have worked hard for the group, but not been able to get enough. Also the issue of real life and other commitments.

I do /sign to Scarletts idea, that or presenting more info than simply 'been around the longest'. But temp powers and recipes, no. Just no.
  23. Link? There is no need.

Simply go up to the top of suggestions and clicky on the 'Frequent Suggestions' post. US/EU server merges/transfers are listed up there, and are offlimit (afaik) unless a redname says otherwise.

But yes, its the weekend! d00m comes around so quickly
  24. Those *boots* ! What the medieval armour *should* look like, and not the half whatsit attempt it is now. More realistic, and VERY nice.
