Quote:Which is why I use Gravity Well, swap to Nova form to blast a bit, and then swap either back to Human form to Mire or to Dwarf form for more hitting.Yeah but the opinion is mathematically incorrect. Human Form has access to hands down the best single target damage, Dwarf is second, and Nova is last.
Always purple, always hitting, all the time -
Why is this thread still alive...?
-
Quote:No, not really. I find the Nova attacks to be far more potent than the Dwarf ones, probably because the Nova damage scale is far better. Dwarf is good for mez shielding, dual-mire and brief res hits when Eclipse is down, but not for out and out damage. What I'm wondering, why do you slot the nova ST attacks? Aren't the dwarf or human ST attacks better?

250?
Seriously, what the hell are the guys and girls in marketing on? Because they are either on strong stuff or frankly INSANE.
No. Just no. -

Quote:How dare you defy peoples sense of entitlement!!I'm really not sure why comments like this keep popping up in both the forums and the game.
The devs and community reps have never said that Staff Melee or Beast Mastery would release with Issue 22; they've said that they would release DURING Issue 22.
When asked for clarification, it was said that that means that the power sets will be released after Issue 22's release date, but before Issue 23.
Furthermore, they've outright said that the three Dark powersets are the only ones going live with I22.
There's really shouldn't be anything surprising here. -
Personally always been a fan of more, more stable recharge on a Warshade/Nictus build. The build I'm using, although still lacking the Purples, has been getting better and better at surviving as the recharge has gotten better. Ergo, I can only surmise that the recharge helps me fight
My personal preferred build;

Tri-form is the way to go. Once properly slotted, double-miring and then swapping to Nova for extermination is incredibly fun. Not to mention floating around with your small army of fluffies, and the Eclipse-Mire combo.
I always bind Nova to 1 and Dwarf to 2 (I don't use numbers for powers like some people do) allowing for fast transformation. You get used to it quite quick. -
I think pretty much what Nitro said, really. I haven't run any of the stuff yet, so...yeah, will do that, eventually

Quote:This. Make it so, NOW! /SignedYeah I think the only thing the character creator needs to make it better is two things:
1) An actual output of the exact height.
2) All NPCs to be resized so that they have more normal uniform heights making it easier to know if we will have a tall or short character by comparison. -
Already covered. When the physical game changes occur (around I23) then it will be official (for us) and recognised.
Basically what Tef said. -
Gods, yes, any workaround. Even telling how long the cooldown had left; '15 seconds' every time is not helpful. /Signed

Quote:Assuming Direct ControlIt's really going to be a tough decision for me. I mean, legitimately so.
On the one hand, it's the Darkness Control powerset (and porting of Dark Miasma into Dark Affinity) for controllers that I've wanted since 2005 or so.
On the other hand, it's Mass Effect 3.
Tough choices. -

Quote:Agreed. Sadly, the argument "This will take a butt-ton of coding and UI time that doesn't exist and isn't on schedule" packs a lot more poundage. What is to stop some perverted guy from making a slutty female character and bowing at men's feet with. You don't need mastermind pets for that. That argument doesn't hold much weight in a court of logic.
I say sadly, because I do really want MM customisation. But, hey-oh... -

Quote:The crimes of the Praetorian mobs are utterly legion; Are you saying that facing mobs that do insane -regen [as an example] totally negates certain powersets like willpower to be useless?
STILL not happy that all of my willpower characters have to pull 1/2 minions at a time just to stand a chance without inspirating up for every fight. [Dont even get me started on iTrials with them!]
-Many more attacks than Primal mobs. Praet mobs tend to have 2-3 attacks base or higher, even at minion level. Hellions, for instance, have a piddly ranged attack and a chunkier melee attack at minion level, only one ranged attack at LT level, and its only when you get to the much rarer bosses that you actually get something scary.
-Exotic damage types. Energy, fire, psi, all stuff that the vast majority of sets don't resist until later level.
-Massive variety in positional damage. Most Primal mobs only do Melee or Ranged damage. It's not until later that you get into AoE territory. Praets hit you with this from the get go, even more problems for SR characters.
-Exotic debuff types. -Regen, -Def, -pretty much anything they can throw at you they will. Again, WAY earlier than Primal mobs start throwing. The only exception to this rule being Vahzilok, with their stacking -rech/-speed darts of doom (not to mention toxic damage). I swear the same sadist who designed the Vahz mobs had a hand or two in Praetoria.
-Cheaty tricks. It's usually not until later on that mobs begin to do things like rezzing each other or the like. Oh look, Praetorian clockwork do that from day one. My surprise is comprehensive and sarcastic!
-Ambushes. Oh gods, the ambushes. Not a mob 'fault', per se, but whoever designed Praetorian missions had something going on with ambushes. In a sick and perverted, not to mention painful, way. The never ending god damned ambushes, man!! -
Except that has nothing to do with the group itself or mechanics and more to do with the mobs models being old and even outdated. Because, really, I agree. Malta SHOULD, in my opinion, be wearing sleek hi-tech kit (something like Mass Effect? I can't think of/find any good examples on Google...) and be wielding weaponary second only to the Praetorians in advancement. The bog standard military stuff is old and outdated and has been so since I1, really.
Crey as well. The Power armour looks woefully clunky and outdated now, even more so when you look at Praetoria. I mean, sure, they shouldn't, lore wise, be as advanced as the Praetorian kit, but the Crey stuff at present looks like it's held together with bolts, glue and prayer.
But as for the agents? Well, one word sums it up; Terminator. Given how much tech enhancement the standard agents sport, I can very easily imagine the upper echelon Agents being nearly 90%+ cyborgs, totally loyal to Crey and the Countess. Security guards would be along the heavily armed and armoured lines as well, along with the 'not power armour' power armoured troops (Protectors and heavies, whatever they are called)
I plan on doing some concept pages, but not until summer, when Uni has stopped throwing horrible workloads at me -
Crey for level 45+? I imagine the scientists wielding bigger, badder and scarier experimental tech weapons, or strapping themselves into full-tech harnesses with extra limbs and the lie for field work (coughAdeptusMechanicuscough*), the Agents having even smarter suits and even more cybernetics hidden under total facial reconstructions, the power armour getting more and more refined and the security forces second only to Malta and their apparently limitless funds.
Gods, when I get outta this damn Uni I'm going on a concept art spree... -

Quote:360 here. How many folks are going go with the PC version ---> I mention this because I'll be happy to help with the multiplayer missions.
Also, I think EA have really upset people with Origins and it's spyware junk. You know it's quite bad when the German government says you are basically illegal.
