  1. Thanks to a friends suggestion after being stuck for a name for an Ice/Ice Dom, I managed to nab Frostspite. Happy with that one.

Tbh, most of my names are either the persons name (more natural heroes), unit designations or rank (soldiers, robots)...you can get by quite easily with that. It's when you need a more 'traditional' name that you can run into some trouble.

BanSquirrel dissaproves of your actions, and auto-hits for 9999 damage.
    Fail on you!

    Combat log
That'd be pretty neat, seeing something like that hit the RMTs in this game. You catch them round and about, sometimes, a whole team of just science controllers with non-sensical names (I mean random gibberish) in AE, usually. Exit the mission, then, one by one, head back in. Pretty obvious.

Being frustrated does not give you a right to throw around comments that other users might find insulting. I found your reply insulting, hence my agry response. I assume you would do the same if someone you have never met before insulted your competance at reading your born language. I guess YRMV.

    ^ True. Annoyingly enough.
  5. Kitsune Vixen, my psi blaster/defender is a more controlled psyker. She's managed to wall off her mind a bit better, so she doesn't suffer from the 'people screaming their thoughts' syndrome like some do, which also results in some quite powerful barriers. She's not as capable a fighter as she could be most of the time as a result (Defender level damage).

My planned Rebel character for GR is more like a walking psi-jammer. Anyone who has played CoD MW2 and seen the scrambler perk in use, it's similar to that; psychic use and detection get more and more difficult, to the point of being down-right painful when you're in, say, the same building. By which point, you're probably in big trouble. She is more a weapon than a general operative, though.

Other characters I tend to deal with when and if it arises.

So? It changes absolutely nothing. In fact, it makes it even LESS likely that any information is to be released by anyone, given the NDA. In fact, Alpha wouldnt even be announced because Alpha would be a Dev run thing, and all the 'waves' we have been told are all BETA waves.

So don't you DARE insult my English skills, you vehement, spoilt, stuck up little brat.
  8. It'd be nice if they also stopped the text-boxes, Character ID ones including, acting crazy whenever you attempt to use the mouse on it. It's been that way since I14.
  9. Don't make me facepalm...not again. I've been forced to do it far, far too much recently. My faceplate is starting to get a dent in it.

Even if this WAS true...even on Closed Beta they make people sign so that they do NOT reveal information.
That's why its called CLOSED Beta!

    Dear Omnisiah almighty...

  11. Put me down for facepalming at ever 'DOOOOM' thread/comment that has been coming up recently.

I've been doing a LOT of facepalming.
  12. Given the fonts, nastily enough, con as EBs...AND there are two of them for every One Font spawn (i.e you have to kill two at the spawn to decrease the objective count by 1) it's still pretty out of whack. They seem to be a lot more accurate than player versions, and have high Psi DoT

Not when they're a mission objective, they ain't.
Not saying I don't agree, mind. Whoever thought of giant sacks of HP with stupid ammounts of...res...

  16. Tbh, the KB hole is, at least now, dealable with.
Fire armour lacks immob protection, except in Burn.

    ...Uhm, sorry? Just...that...
My head hurts trying to rationalise that one.

Take out the shield charge clone, and possibly the cuffs (you need to get targets to comply to cuff them, really) and I can definitely get behind this set. /Signed

It might have helped that the Bruiser was taking most of the hits, so the AoEs didn't do much.
Thugs and (maybe) Necro might be able to negate the horrible attack style the fonts have. I know on that particular run (mine, that is) that we had a decent Brute, so keeping out of the AoE blasts was fairly easy.
Bots, Mercs and Ninjas (majority in Melee) I can see suffering rather horribly. Not to mention the KB from spouts.
We had a Vangaurd HVAS stomping round with us by the end. When it wasn't being thrown all over the shop, that was.

(Off-topic, doesn't it seem bloody stupid that something as big as HVAS, Cataphracts and the like still suffer from KB? The spider versions dont get hit so bad, as spider skeleton mobs dont really suffer KB, more of a 'stagger' effect.)

It's probably too late to go around poking holes in sets now to make the game less binary but players really need to adjust their attitude about holes that exist.

There are always ways to circumvent holes like that, even holes as wide as psi and toxic damage for Energy Aura. It should be seen as a challenge to overcome, not an oversight.
KB, however, is one of the more common (and annoying) effects in game.
Hellions have it at level one, for heck sake.
Psi and toxic, aside from Umbrals explanation (which I didnt know, before) are relatively rare damage types. KB? Rather frequent. It's also majorly counterproductive to have such a hole on a Melee AT or two. Stalkers? Rely on melee. Brutes, Tanks, Scrappers? All rely on melee.

And 'Get a -KB IO' is not valid when balance should be centred around SOs. Yes, you CAN plug the hole. Should you have to? Not like that.

I don't think the waterspouts are an issue with the mission.

The fonts, on the other hand, are a total pain in the ***. I dont think I've completed the mission without at least a tray of purples for each pair. But be fair; the fonts don't have Psychic Shockwave, they only have Psionic Tornado (though an extremely powerful version...)
As far as we worked out, the waterspouts are actually semi-sentient (for an in game thing). As in, they agrro onto people, stealth of not (I was on my Bane) and follow them around. This was pretty much proved when the guy on a brute sat in the middle of a little group on the far side of the cave, and they all homed in until they were stacked on top of him.
    Not cool.

Also, the Fonts either have both attacks, or they were just shooting at point blank on the brute, making it seem like they did. Either way, those PTs are viscious. Heavy DoT, and large KB. I even got shoot through a wall, which is pretty far from cool.
