  1. Also, at least it could be worse.

It could be Mass Effect 3's ending >_>
  2. I personally just hope we get to flip that big blue git the bird from atop the epic, smouldering mountain of his defeat...

    Actually, they don't.
Surgeons have no attacks or defences whatsoever. They just have rapid fire heals and a rez, which is what makes them so annoying.

But the idea is still there, I get that.
  4. Rikti Epic Archetype: Still superior
    Alternate suggestions: Inferior
    Domination: Assured
    Victory: Inevitable
    Wait: Annoying

That and a Dual Pistols/Super Reflexes character. Or Blast/Armour or Assault/Armour. That's one major concept hole right there.
  5. Actually, according the Dr Manha- sorry, Prometheus the Well is in fact Wells, and there is one for each race throughout the galaxy. There is more explanation, which I'm pretty sure others will recall/recount more accurately than me.

It's like a big font of power, basically. The Battalion, for instance, have increased their to the point of all being Incarnate, apparently, by feeding their Well with the Wells of conquered races.
The lore really does need compiling properly at some point...

  7. Even then, even with the current leagues, there are no unavoidable, auto-hit insta-KO powers. There are powers that can 1-H-KO if you don't move out of range (Maelstrom, TPN trial) and there are plenty of fething auto-hit attacks (Antimatter pulse, Keyes Reactor Trial)

And, given this is suggested as a high tier Trial, anyone who isn't permanently inside a layer of Barrier-spam is probably going to get hit anyway, given how high the accuracy of Incarnate mobs are.

Ultimately my (and I hope others) point is not 'OMG never suggest anything EVAH!'. Although there are some people like that, sadly (flip side of that, there ARE some people who should never suggest anything, evah, because all their suggestions have been universally bad ) However, bare in mind that people will have opinions, will voice them, and there will be peeps who bring numbers, lore and mechanics to bear quite heavily.
  8. Really?

As someone who relies quite heavily on their imagination, that comment is certainly shaped like an insult.

And no, actually. Not looking for a fight. However, you seem to be under the illusion that everyone is going to, or should, agree with your suggestion instantly. This being a forum, people are going to have their own opinions. You have made a number of suggestions (i.e. three 1-Hit KO attacks for the end boss) that strike me (and clearly others) as not fun. Ditto the no TP, etc.

And you will get people correcting you on the lore here, especially if you are provably wrong. There is indeed a Rularuu model in-game, but it's not used for a number of reasons, main of them being that, as is observable with the Jade Spider, really big enemies are actually really hard to physically fight, due to anchoring/hit-box problems. That's a technical limit right there. Hami doesn't count, due to the individual 'blocks' that make him up being smaller parts of a bigger group.

Summary: This is the internet, and a public(ish) forum. If you can't stomach any criticism, you won't last long.

Not possible, otherwise teleport would be possible in Pocket D without adding TP friend. As it is, ALL TP is blocked by that power. That seems to be a tech limitation. Now I might well be wrong. HOWEVER, all current 'no TP' blocks in game are, to date, carpet ones. Ergo, that is highly likely to be a code issue.

If the devs said that then fine, it's JUST AN IDEA! The main idea is said in the title, the rest is just my ideas that can be manufactured to their full potential ONLY by actually conversing in physical appearance. I can't explain my vision in typing, it cancels out my actual charisma. I expected people to have a little imagination and cooperating by suggesting other things instead of immediately falsifying every detail without even thinking of the power of Benefit of the Doubt.
Nice backhanded way of calling us all idiots. Your 'actual charisma' doesn't seem to be doing too well here.

And yes, the mediocre players of this world like button mashing. Actual gamers enjoy more sophisticated play.

And you completely missed when I said "cell" meant his sanctuary. The same as Faathim and Lanaruu. If you're going to argue right then read and understand what it is about.

The Shadow Shard IS Rularuu. The Aspects, i.e. Faathim and Lanaruu, are PART of Rularuu. The ONLY way to fight Rularuu as a whole is for the entire Shard to be melded back into one, big, dimension swallowing thing. Rularuu. If you are going to argue make sure you actually understand the lore before spouting your ignorance. Just, y'know, an idea.
  10. 1) You do realise the Shadow Shard IS Rularuu's prison? That's the whole point. There is no one place where he is imprisoned.

    2)
Phase 1: 100 of every minion type? So an uber hunt, then. Uber boring, too.

Phase 2: Can't teleport? That is going to suck big time. The rest is just confusing.

Phase 3: Again, there IS no cell. All attacks are one shot KOs? So like a bigger, cheatier version of Hami, then. Again, this sounds like a giant ol' heap of not a lot of fun. Pain, in fact.

    3) Four arm rigs are impossible, currently. Locking EATs behind this would piss SO many people off.

So, yeah. Not happening. /Unsigned for good measure.

  12. I haven't touched that 'thing' since I21. Pretty much what Sam said; "Lets take out all the actually useful stuff and put it in some badly written rail-road missions with annoying characters instead, AFTER you need information like levelling up. Oh, and we'll teach them how to give us money instead. That's a GREAT idea!"

It's like EA, all over again...
  13. Meh, to that. Brutes can keep their Fury. Because, let's be honest, this is nothing but a Fury rip.
Give us more res and more def. We're Tankers, it's what we do.
  14. I think we need TP foe on enemies like we need a hole in the head, personally...
  15. I just find it ironic how much people say 'Oh, the current trials are too easy, there's no challenge to them, everything in this game is too easy'.

    And then curbstomp happens.
(Note, not aimed at the OP, just heard that sort of comment too much over the months)
  16. Dark Astoria, Wednesday 21st

The darkness was constant. Oppressive, cloying and heavy. The shadows moved and twisted in unnatural ways, forming gaping mouths and warped faces every other second.

    "Intriguing."
A towering figure stood atop one of the abandoned buildings, arms folded and pure black cape wrapped around itself, tugging and swirling in the stale, unnatural breeze. Two purple, glimmering eyes stared from the depths of the hood, with no visible face to support them.

"You have sinned, have killed, have murdered, we can feel it," a voice hissed behind it.
The Nictus known generally as Nightwalker did not even turn, although he was aware of the presences behind him. The mutated beings that were called 'Talons of Vengeance'. Or Knives of Vengeance. Either name mattered little to him.

"The blood of many is on your hands!" one hissed, drawing closer. It recoiled a second later as a flare of negative energy burst from the concrete, lashing out before fading again.
"Sin is a term used to decry actions in religion, none of which I partake of, or to define an action that is somehow wrong, which is ultimately subjective. Murder also is a term used subjectively, and as for the fact that I have killed that is not a revelation to me, nor a fact I am uncomfortable admitting to as truth." Nightwalker finally turned, regarding the Talons with unblinking, unyielding eyes. "What point did you wish to make?"

"You are a sinner, judgement will be served-!" one began, making a lunge forward. The others recoiled a moment later as the first froze, rose into the air, and then contorted in ways not physically possible with a full skeleton, accompanied by the sickening crack of pulverised bones.
"I am a scientist. Science and experimentation come with consequences. That is fact. I require sacrifices to see my work come to fruition, and there are those I can use that have no other use to me. What does it matter to me if some humans are spent? There are always more humans," the Nictus stated calmly, lowering his arm as the tendrils of negative energy faded from his fingers.

    yOU WiLL nEveR oVerCoME mE
    I aM etERnal
    I Am dEatH

The Talons hissed and leered as Nightwalker paused, tilting his be-hooded head to one side, listening to the words that came from everywhere and nowhere.

DesPaiR, yIelD tO tHat WhICh iS inEviTaBLe
    yOU ArE mIne nOw
    YoU wiLL nOT leAvE
    yoU wIll bE mIne

There was a pause. And then the Talons slowly drew back as, quietly at first but with rising volume and intensity, Nightwalker began to laugh. For a moment, even the shadows coiled away, a different darkness swarming in its place.

"How ironic. You seek to make your prey despair, steal their hope and then consume them through guilt."
The Nictus scientist lifted his head, eyes flaring beneath the hood as the Talons suddenly found themselves unable to move, Nictus energy erupting from the ground and wrapping around them with a choking finality.
"I, on the other hand, am content that all I have done is for the greater good of my kind. If I were to be presented with my life from the beginning, I would not stray from the path I have chosen. And you...you are the antithesis of all I seek to create, my great nemesis. And you challenge me? This...will actually be satisfying."

Scrappers have been, and are, fine, IMHO. Very straightforward. You hit stuff. Sometimes you h it harder (crit chance.) No fury mechanic to worry about. You get your attacks first. Nothing fancy (unless the set you use gives you something "fancy" to work with, like DB Combos.)
This sums it up for me. Sometimes I like just being able to walk up and smack the ever loving snot out of something, without having to worry about Hide or Fury. I love my main Tank. I also love my Stalkers, my Brutes and my Scrappers. Because they are all still different.

Wow...that's like people defending the endings of a certain game that is causing controversy at the moment. Because the endings suck as bad as a Michael Bay film, and everyone knows it...

Speaking of which....oh smeg is this going to be bad. Argh. Just argh.
