  1. Still struggling along, determined to build a Fire/Fire/Fire that I want to keep and play.
    Mostly at the moment the concept is holding me back. But I have real trouble finding a build that feels solid, and not like its a frankenstein of different goals.

    Should I aim for +damage, +recharge, recovery, health, or def? Anyone know anything thats easier to achieve and/or 'better' than others?
    Any help is majorly appreciated.

    The comic also lampshades the "furry=deviant" foolishness at one point with a character who's a fangirl of humans. She points out that she's not attracted to humans, just fascinated by them.
    Balanced?
    Damn you for adding ANOTHER webcomic to my list.
    At least its well written and funny...the problem is they are the only ones I read.

    Do you know whats its like, cycling through a faves folder over and over per day waiting for updates?!

    Sam, Nine-Tails is BASED on the Japanese mythology of the Kitsune, or Spirit Fox, which had nine tails. They appear with one, three and nine in mythology, up to nine in total.

    Hell, there is one as a Boss in Okami. Ninetails is NOT unique to Pokemon, Naruto, whatever, and you could trademark it as much as Marvel could trademark 'Hercules'. E.g. they cant.

    Heh, we can dream.
    I somehow doubt it, though. Unless it was tied more into the Traditional Kitsune image, and made more see-through/ethereal. That would be quite cool.

    Is there ANYWHERE in furry/anthro art that actually makes clothing fit the concept of people with tails? All I've seen is a tail attached to the back and dresses or pants are exactly the same as for tailless people. Take that green-skinned (looks more white to me) anthro-girl shown earlier. You don't see the backside, but it looks like the tail might be stuck onto the pants.
    Some artists draw holes to allow for the tails, others simply have the trousers (pants to you yanks ) sit so that the tail is above the wasitband/line. (although looking back at some of my older stuff, I've actually fallen foul of that. Curses >_< )

    Still on the line wether Tigra and Cheetah actually count as anthros, given they are actually humans that have aquired animal traits one way or another. Although iirc Tigra is linked to a race that are technically anthros...
    The line can get confusing at times.

    Generic Rant

    Overly long post that devolves into a tangent, further de-railing the de-railment while actually being influenced by about three other threads with similar topics to this post, not the thread in general.

    Various comments about posters and their lack of IQ/common sense/brain in general/face.

    Compulsory 'Your mum' joke.

    *Edit for quick corrections of own mis-spellings, while knocking American spellings of certain words, lamenting the loss of the 'u'*
  13. Also, Vigilantes can do *some* Villain missions, but not all, IIRC. And vice versa.
    There seems to be a bit of stuff we haven't been told yet. I guess it's a matter of waiting and seeing.
  14. Nicely done.
    I really thing States the character gets a lot of bad press when he really shouldnt.

    I mean, ther are a lot more 'Supermen' that are much more jerkish than States.
    And, at heart, he's still human. I feel sorry the old guy.

    That's....really not a good counter arguement.
    Having to, potentially go through, say, five such 'grab bags' to get the one piece of salvage you want sounds like more of a waste than just being able to pick the one you actually wanted in the first place.

    Let me direct you to this thread, to show just why such a perception is flawed and, frankly, wrong;

    Anthro characters =/= Furries, in the common 'insult' sense of the word
    RPers =/= All ERP'ers

    Please dont confuse personal bias and opinion with reality.

    Not really. Kheldians are 'natural' because Peacebringers are naturally that way. Just alien.
    Warshades and Nictus are Science because of the way they are created.

    And, yeah, Kheldians. Not Kheldens.

    Na'vi are a really, really bad example of that. They are basically giant humanoids. It's like calling anime cat-girls, the ones with the stuck on tails and ears, anthromorphs.

    Anthromorphism is, by definition;

    Quote:
    Anthropomorphism is the attribution of human characteristics to non-human creatures and beings, phenomena, material states and objects or abstract concepts. Examples include animals and plants and forces of nature such as winds, rain or the sun depicted as creatures with human motivation able to reason and converse. The term derives from the combination of the Greek ἄνθρωπος (ánthrōpos), "human" and μορφή (morphē), "shape" or "form".

    It is strongly associated with art and storytelling where it has ancient roots. Most cultures possess a long-standing fable tradition with anthropomorphised animals as characters that can stand as commonly recognised types of human behavior.
    Et la;

    http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...abbit_Hole.png

    Na'vi are humanoid. They are alien, but not anthro.
    Cat girls are humans with add ons. They are not anthro.
    The white rabbit, etc are anthro.

You find these things absurd and/or ridiculous, but then YOU don't get to decide what is and what isn't. I don't find them ridiculous, myself, and I find artists drawing in this field to be, by and large, quite very capable. It's a case of personal preference within the context of diverse preferences and tolerance between them. I happen to find rap, death metal, women's fashion and silver and golden age comic books to be absurd and ridiculous, but I don't really hold it against people who like these things. I might make fun of comic books occasionally, but I try to laugh WITH the comic book fans, not AT the comic book fans. For instance, if I want to make fun of comic book absurdity, I might bring up Amazons Attack and watch people's eyes roll out of their heads, but I'd avoid pointing to, say, Green Lantern, laughing and yelling "He has a stupid name! What a ridiculous character!" Yes, he has a stupid name, but he is a very popular and, from what I can tell, very well-written character. Even if it's not my cup of tea, people still like him. And well they should.

    This is an interesting social phenomenon. At one point, offending people became "dangerous," so political correctness was born, using blanket statement straw men to condemn offending material. Years later, people are using political correctness itself as a blanket statement straw man to excuse trying to offend people. Even if political correctness is bad (and it is), the polar opposite is no better.
    No goals, just the same as yours, really =]
    Given I am one of said artists who draw anthromorph characters, and I have a number of stories and characters that I am rather proud of and hope to actually do something creative with one day, I'd be worried if I wasn't a tad defensive of something important to me. That, and tolerance is a good thing (within limits, obviously).

    But;

    And I think it's only 6-8 items per "category" so it's pretty easy to get what you need (or get lots and lots of it and cash in on the market).
    You cant roll for specific common salvage, though. You get a 'salvage sack' with random common salvage in. Which, IMO, is daft. But thats just me.
