Quote:Attacking a persons spelling, grammar and user name.At least he's making recognizable shapes. For that matter, why are you adhering to the rules of spelling and grammar? Aren't you all about sticking it to the man, or something?
Well, there is the issue of your username, kinda. So there is that. ;p
A sure sign your argument gave up the ghost some time a go, and are now reduced to name calling.
Just saying. -
I agree that animals waving swords in their mouths doesn't really fit with CoH, and that's not even touching the technical side with a ten foot barge pole.
I do think there is room for more PC Animal related stuff, which does seem to be sort of in the works. It has been a popular request for some time now, so *shrug* -
I dunno. I just came here to verbally slap the dude going on about how everyone with an anthropomorphic character was clearly exactly the same as the worst spawn of the entire anthro/furry fandom and was obviously perverted scum who should be taken out and shot, rather than, I dunno, someone who happened to have an anthro character. *shrug*

The Pocket D 'Valentine' Pack had absolutely naff all to do with Valentines. It was a party or disco pack, sure, but 'valentines'? Only the time of year it was released.
/Signed, that pack for sure should be available all year. Real holiday event packs, like the Winter one, I can understand. But this one is just stupid. -
Forget quivers for a moment, why the heck do we STILL not have the Vanguard Back Details, despite them being already made pieces that have no additional work needing doing and are simply solid, one-piece parts that should have been out as soon as the back details slot was made to work properly. I'm honestly quite hacked off that this one piece is taking so damn long ¬¬

Quote:Gunblades are based on realityGunblades aren't so amazingly stupid, they did exist in real life, though they looked far from as stylish as the ones seen in final fantasy.
Think more a revolver welded onto the side of a sword (in some cases they were literally just that). -
Quote:Agreed. 'Legacy' options should be kept, with ultra-mode level new stuff added on top. And yes, faces too as well as hair. But NOT Normal mapped faces, for the love of pete! That's why they shouldn't replace them, but allow multiple texture options for each (i.e. like a lot of the parts that have shape, then a texture). Different styles and patterns in the hair, including the original style. I like the old styles more than the new ones (mostly), but the old textures look really bad compared to the rest of the current items.

Quote:I'm also of the opinion that animals with blades-in-mouth would look silly, mostly due to the engine and rig limits, nor do I ever see it happening within CoH, so that's not so much an issue.Y'know, Techbot, unfortunately for you I am not staying awake nights wondering what exact ideas you think are "wrong," or 'stupid." I'll leave it to you to figure out why Im not doing that [hint: its easy to figure out].
The fact is, again unfortunately for you, that I dislike the idea of people taking this new furry idea and running all the way to Alpha Centauri with it [as we all know will immediately happen.... there are plenty of people who wait up nights on the prayer that they'll be able to grief the game in such a fashion...] and also that despite Leo's desperate attempts to claim otherwise, that the idea of animals fighting with bladed weapons in thier mouths is nothing more or less than slapstick on a level with any episode of The Three Stooges. Fight, ad-hominem, insult, namecall: will change nothing, its a stupid idea and a logical fallacy - and deep down, you are well aware of this.
I do have an issue with;
Quote:You just enjoy a fight. Duly noted!
Quote:You guys already have the so-called "yiff pack" and you are welcome to it. Be glad you got that much.
That right there is making no sense, no matter how much you try and defend it.
Quote:Now, I am delighted that you and others have no problem with the idea of, say, a Gone With The Wind trial where your Incarnates fight the Boss version of General Sherman, in a new blighted a-la Boomtown zone called Burnin' Down Georgia. That would make NO SENSE in COX, much like rainbow-colored dog-girls who fight with 9' swords in their mouths [?!!] MAKES NO SENSE EITHER. You can namecall all you want, will not make it less true. 'Ave a nice day, mate.

Moar hair naow pleeeeaaasee!!!
We so badly need new, high-res hair, on all the models. Please, for the love of pete, make this happen! The old hairs are so bad!

Quote:Emphasis mine. Even I know this.
But read the user agreement. You're not "owed" jack or ****. This is bald fact.
Now for opinion. Paragon already gives users quite a bit for free. These continual calls for "compensation" appear to be nothing more than rampant greed stemming from acute cases of self-entitlement.
As to another MMO doing it? See the "out of the goodness of their heart".
You are not promised 720-748 hours of gameplay a month. -

Good, I'm not the only one to realise how fething stupid that so called analogy is. People always wave a worst case scenario around like it's the norm...
-
Quote:Your point is also completely fallacious and pure wrong. For a start, you clearly haven't seen some of the costume abominations we can ALREADY HAVE that pretty closely fit what you just described. I mean, heaven forbid that people want 'normal' anthropomorphic characters who don't act like complete sparkledogs/weabos/whatever.Wrong, my lil' argumentative fur-person. I most certainly do care. What I *don't* care to see is the thematic equivalent of people trottting over to the LotRO forums and starting the following thread: "Middle Earth needs Transformer Robots! Let's make it happen!"
Robots would be stupid in Middle Earth, i-Pod wearing rainbow colored dogs with huge mammaries wearing bikinis would be stupid in a superhero-themed MMO. I trust I have made my point.
This is not 'Transformers in Middle Earth', and that is a frankly bloody stupid analogy. 'Anthropomorphic characters in the CoXUniverse, which already has crazy alien things, magic, giant robots and pretty much everything under the sun already anyway' is far more accurate.
I really hate it when people use straw men arguments... -
People keep using the word 'furry'
-
Quote:Yeah. Some people seem to be...uh...taking this a tad too seriously?Meanwhile the "Eden" top for "Tights With Skin"
I have seen many outfits that revealing in CoX by PCs and NPCs both.
I mean, heaven forbid we see *gasp* smooth, mannequin flatness! The horror, the no-detail horror! -
Quote:Pfft, please. Try EA/Bioware if you want utter PR meltdown and unprofessional practice...Do NOT tell the community an announcement is not on the April calendar and within 3 days announce it's coming next Tuesday. This management of the release date is capricious and unprofessional. It is also very unlike our player community practices and policies in the past. Such manipulations of their audience would best be left to Snookie and the Situation.
