Quote:Uhm...this is the official render of Shalice; It scared Sister Psyche so much the light-green panels of her costume fell out!
and
The nowhere-near as cool light green outfit that can be 100% replicated by players is in-game only. And it still looks horrible.
Also, I think even 80 year old psykers can be horrified at the, y'know, Coming Storm? The thing everyone presumed was so much hot air? It actually happening right there and dropping flaming meteors on you? I think even States would be having a bricking moment about there.
However, she does look a tad goofy. You can be horrified and yet combat-stance-ready at the same time. -
Trial accounts shouldn't be able to hold names. Stat.
-
Will you guys please take this chance to revamp the Phalanx models? Sister Psyche in-game looks NOTHING like her CGI or official art reference and model. In fact, she's 100% reproducible in the Player CC. Hardly a signature character, hmm? BaBs could use a higher quality render pass, too.
That said? This is looking very nice. The fact Recluse seems to have suddenly exploded his way in in a very noticeable way is very good.
Rock on 21! -
Quote:Thats because it's the EXACT same 'End Game' as every other game has; big, grindy events with cheaty-hax enemies that you need the phat lewt to defeat. How do you get phat lewt? Oh, thats right! Grand the end game.I'm still surprised people are complaining about getting actual Endgame content that allows progress passed Level 50 after SEVEN YEARS!
That's the whole dang reason I even came back. Because after years of only having the option of geting to 50,rolling an alt doing it again..then a few more years of rolling an alt ,getting to 50..and nickle and diming minor stat increase sets..I'm glad to be able to run instanced "raid" content for meaningful progression of my characters I enjoyed getting to 50.
Some of us assumed that we'd be getting, y'know, something City of Heroes style, something unique and different from all that dross.
It seems we were wrong to do us. -
I dunno, maybe I should have read the guides, or it might have helped if we'd had a better leader to understand things faster.
Eventually it all made sense, but the rinse and repeat hospital runs are really, really lame.
1) Pulse of cheaty-hax two-shot death. Yay, hope you brought your rebirth slots, kiddies! And pray you can FIND your team again in the chaos, if people have bothered to group up, so you can be healed.
2) Don't touch Antimatter! Oop, better put pets in Passive mode then, with their trigger happy AoEs! Oh, look, bodyguard mode goes off! Two shotted! Yay!
3) And this is the big one.
WHY do Praetorian mobs have such high base accuracy? Vickies seem to totally ignore defences, and this is with a softcapped MM with T3 Barrier up. BAM. Eye lasered and dead.
Praetorians do NOT need such high accuracy. There are ENOUGH things screwing you over in trials as it is, WITHOUT them having an 'I win button'.
Not touching Keyes again, not until they strip some of the 'cheat' out of it. -
You should come to Union and meet on of our channels Shield/DM tanks.
Him and a friends Dominator Duo'd the LGTF.
Tanks have every opportunity to be as nasty as Brutes, and they don't need Fury to do it. This whole 'Brutes are better balanced' thing is fallacy. Tanks and Brutes are just as valuable today as they always have been. -
The fact that this is already in game is what bugs me most.
No, not moving hair. The hats with different hair thing.
Go look at the standard Cabal minions. No hair, right?
Now go find one of them in PD. Or Katie here;
The Cabal hat. With hair, no less.
It can be done.
WHY has it not been done? There is NO good excuse why. -
Quote:Oh, heck, again?Once again Megatron plays the role of lackey to the new big bad in the film. To me, in Transformers lore Megatron is the Big Bad 'Bot on the Block and plays lackey to no one. In this one he's just here to serve as a typical plot device in the final act, and oddly enough people in the theater cheered when it happened.
"I belong to NOBODY!"
Quote:The final act also had Optimus Prime take on a tone that I just didn't agree with. Again to me, Optimus Prime has always been the guy to value life and show compassion, he would even show mercy to his enemies. To hear him say "They Must die" or "He must die" just didn't sit well with me. I guess someone can say with the events that happened kind of hardened him and made him realize that with war hard choices have to be made, but to me it's just not in Optimus Prime's nature.
Even in the 1986 film, he seemed to regret going all out.
"Megatron must be stopped...No matter the cost."
Still, I'll see it. The fact he may have eased up on shaky cam sounds nice for a change. Will have to see... -
Quote:No, your notAm I the only non-scot in the world that loves the sound of the bagpipes....
Also given me an awesome idea for a character with the Retro-rifle recoloured to make it look more...Tartanish...
If it's good enough for her Majesty, it's good enough for me, dash it all! -
Run once, completed once. Never again. Thankfully the game and RNG felt sorry enough to give me the Rare I needed for my third T3 for the +3 level boost.
Giant auto-hit pulses? Pets being effectively useless because Bots are AoE heavy and we need to NOT hurt Anti-Matter? Dying in two shots from Vicky's spamming eye lolazers? Stuffed full of so many gimmicks trying to be 'cool' and 'challenging' and just being annoying?
KIR can go back to Beta, for all I care for it. Even Lambda is more fun than that, and I really dislike Lambda. -

Quote:I think someone would have to be seriously deluded to claim pools are anywhere *near* Secondary Sets.the endurance burns are bearable, these shouldn't be equivalent to even secondary sets
at the moment, I use whirlwind as a click turn it on and off
That also means the endurance costs should be balanced on what they are actually delivering. -
I just want to get rid of the damned 'essence' effect. I don't want the damn glowy/tendrilly stuff. My Crab Spider, for one, isn't summoning ghosts; those are going to be actual Arachnos soliders, Puddle of Mild Annoyance be damned.

I'm hoping I21 and onwards see's a total house-clean of all the old contacts Blueside.
Because all of them, bar Hollows->Faultline->Talos these days, are TERRIBLE. The missions are terrible. The contacts are terrible, two dimensional and badly written, the run-about is terrible, the plot is non-existent.
This junk is even years old and, by frag, does it show! -
Quote:Oh, so I can figure out my defences meaning nothing, Praetorians having 65% base accuracy instead of 50%, and a giant, map-wise Auto-Hit pulse that means I'm as good as the flying dead?Keyes is a pain and it will remain a pain until people figure it out. Same as any other iTrial/TF content when it first comes out.
My issue was that Defense and Resistance was pretty much moot. I had Anti-Matter 1-shotting me through both my Def and Res toggles + Demonic Aura. I even had Vickies making piecemeal of my toggles + Patron Darkest Night + Strength of Will (THAT bothered me).
Oh, yes, I just figured it out! It's called 'Using Hax instead of coming up with a decent challenge mechanism'.
Honestly, there are so many needless gimmicks stuffed into KIR to make it a 'challenge' (which it isn't, its just unavoidably punishing) that it's amazing it got through Beta. You must have found the most grind-loving macho fans out there.
It reminds me of the Sewer Trial, in fact. Except the design team kept the forced +4 Boss con enemies, monsters and AV but left out the teamwork mechanics part. -
Quote:Yup. The solo'ers can now grind for loot the same as everyone else to...So if you want any of the new path auras, you have to do trials? I thought we were moving away from forced teaming? I also thought there was supposed to be some way for solo players to get these things.
No, wait. I think I-
Oh, yes. There is no solo path. Still.
Any claims otherwise are trolling and guffage -
Quote:Because shards aren't about four times as rare, and you don't need four times as many threads for stu-On the brightside though, the 10 shards -> 5 threads conversion is now free, and other prices have been lowered, so the incarnate prices without trials have gone down substantially. I still don't think it's where it should be, but it's an improvement.
Oh. Wait. -
Yeah, that's another point. They REALLY need to make it obvious, in seven foot high letters, that Null exists, he is the NPC you need to talk to, and WHERE he is.
The fact that me and someone else in Beta spent about 15 minutes looking for him should have made it clear this would be a problem.
People were likely too busy making sure KIR was in a playable st-
Owait... -
Ok, first off I want to clarify that I LOVE 20.5.
However...(this is me, you knew it was coming)
However;
1) The delay between claiming vouchers is still there. Why? I assumed it was to stop the servers overloading in Beta with lots of people testing at one time.
2) 1 Emp merit for 1 Astral merit? Excuse me? Pardon? I...yeah. Fix this, please.
3) The big one. Keyes Reactor Trial.
Ho boy. Hooo boy. The pain and suffering we went through for this one. This is like the trilogy finale of games and films, where they throw away what works and shove as many damn gimmicks in to make it 'cool' while forgetting that, sometimes, less is more.
The Anti-Matter pulse is INSANELY annoying. As an MM who hated the Lamda for making me feel useless in the tunnels, the WHOLE of Keyes makes me feel useless. I get splatted by Victorias in two shots, defences be damned. I get pummeled by the Pulse for an ungodly ammount of HP. And bodyguard does nothing, because I have it turned off. Why? Because doing damage to Anti-matter is BAD.
Fortunately, in an almost apologetic way it gave me my first ever Rare drop on Alpha, so I could make my second Ilevel boost and finally fight at +3, making BAF and Lambda my Plat de Jour from now on. -
Yes. Take Nova.
You are every form. At once. Bind Nova to 1 and Dwarf to 2. You are immune to mez. You are a close combat tank and a long range hovering gunship. Build up carries through to every form. So does hasten and dull pain. Both of those two are your friend.
Become every form, all the time.
You are...THE MF'ING PEACEBRINGER!
Really, it worked for meLoved my concept for my PB gal, but was terrible to play as only human form. So I took Dechs advice that had worked wonders for my Warshade/Nictus and applied it to her. Different AT, same results. Win/win

Quote:In game items that have absolutely 0% impact on gameplay, stats, numbers of anything of any meaning other than looking good/vanity/part of a concept? At least I HOPE they don't sell stuff that is already obtainable in the game. (Don't get me wrong, I still don't like the method to obtain these goods... but having to BUY them with real money is not the answer. In-game items shouldn't be obtainable in that way.)
In game items that are PURELY cosmetic shouldnt be locked in such an abitrary and idiotic fashion, frankly. -

Quote:Hmn. I think that's a point that has some merit, actually. After all, what was the original deciding factor behind the Power Pool level locks AND locked picks? I understand the principle; specialise in a pool and get better at it. But what bearing does punching something have on suddenly being able to fly? Why does being able to kick and punch make you tougher? Why can you heal others but not yourself with your handy medical device? The biggest QoL boost for PPs I can think of (outside of customization) is getting rid of the Stupid Required Power picks. I HATE having to pick Boxing/Kick before I can get Tough. On 9 out of 10 toons it's a complete and utter waste. Come level 14 I should be able to get Fly without first having to get a Flippy Haymaker Clone (yeah I could get hover, but I'll never use it on a Melee toon - at least Air Superiority gets some use...)
The level restrictions should be enough (They're enough for our Primaries and Secondaries). Yes, this would enable us to pick other more useful powers. And what's the problem with that? There doesn't seem to be much concern in the game lately about us becoming Too Powerful.
This should apply to Epic Pools as well, IMO.
Some of the locks make very little sense, now I think about it seven years on...
