It would be totally awesome if the devs said they were going to implement this for the next April 1st day.

Ok, I didn't realize that there were anywhere near that many bronzes to roll on. And I didn't know the gold rolls info was in wiki under a different name. I wasn't trying to be critical of anyone for not doing unpaid wiki work, I'm very glad that you guys who do, do what you do. It was just something of a puzzler for me. Thanks for clearing it up!

base portal works well for this as well. if you have a good base you can go directly to any zone
[/ QUOTE ]
Aw. I guess I don't have a good base then. See, it just consists of mine and Mr. Tealeaf's alts. It's cozy, it suits are needs, and we really like it. But we don't have the prestige yet to have all the ports. Darn the luck. I wish it were good. -
That's "what", not "why". It just seems odd to me that whomever did the cut and paste for the silver didn't do it for the bronze or gold instead.
-
That's odd... wiki has a break down of what the silver rolls are, but not bronze or gold. That's from clicking the links directly from the Ticket page they have for AE. I wonder why silver is listed, but not the more commonly used bronze, or even gold?

This is the first that I know of Mission Search Site, done by High Treason.
Mission Search
Look for arcs by various criteria not listed in game. Add your arcs, or ones you've played. Has user comments so that people can discuss the arcs in question. It also has staff reviews on some of them (yes, I are staff). A good way to promote your arcs and/or find ones that you might enjoy playing. -

Do not assume that a female character in a bikini with a katana and double D's is a woman in real life. She's not.
[/ QUOTE ]
Don't assume that a character isn't a woman in real life because they are playing a character that you don't think a real woman would play. Seriously, I play a wide variety of characters, all female as I am myself. Women have as varied personalities and like as men. We don't all roll up the same sort of toon. -
I think the OP has a pretty good point. To me a guide is something that will help a majority of people who are trying out a new AT or Powersets. I don't think that the majority of people are going to have several million infl available for what might well be an alt or test character.
Sure list out the tricked out build too if you want to. But if that's all you have, then it might be best to not be too touchy if others don't find your guide to be all that useful. -
I think that many lazy people gravitate to empathy defenders. True, to play it well one must put forth some effort. However, in the field, I've seen many who's contributions consisted of putting themseves on follow on the tank and then just rocking the aura. No keeping up CM or Fort, sometimes maybe remembering RA, and certainly no using their secondary at all.
I think this sort of player gets by more than other sub-par heroes, since teams see the floating green numbers and assume that their defenders is doing a smash up job.
I'd like to stress that I am not saying that all empathy defenders are lazy or don't contribute fully to a team's success. Just some. But certainly not all. -
Will running MA missions grant prestige? If so, will it be just for defeating enemies, or will there also be the prestige grant at mission completion?
-
I just printed out two copies of each, for Mr. Tealeaf and myself. Simply excellent. My only regret is that they weren't available back in the day when I was really good at getting lost.
I hereby propose that Zombie_Man be granted three free months of playtime as a reward for his service to the CoX community by providing these guides, as well as for his other acts of selfless community service in offering guides. -
Well, I just printed them out. Thanks, I think this will be helpful in outfitting all of my alts!

when two (or more) people disagree, it's absolutely certain that at least one of them is wrong. (To do with reality being objective.)
[/ QUOTE ]
I think I would disagree with that, since people disagree often on things that are a matter of personal perferance. Is superspeed better than fly? Is a tanker useless unless they take taunt? Is Key Lime cheesecake better than chocolate mousse cake (man, now I want both!)? If people only disgreed about the number crunching stuff, then your statement would be quite corect. But people argue about the subjective frequently, not just the objective. -
I bid a plateful of leftover turkey, two pieces of pumpkin pie (with cool whip!) half a jar of salsa and a grey cat (her name is Gem. She's pretty.)
I'm pretty sure I should win something for all of that. -
Heck, I don't even ebil marketeer and I'm thinking of giving this a whirl...

Here's one I learned while playing the night before last:
Don't put together a Cap Strike Force of five people (to be fair, all of us agreed that 5 was enough to start) and then after the second mission spot Deathsurge and demand that everyone show up and try to kill the GM for the badge. Seriuosly. 5 people just isn't enough. And when one of your Veats (me, in fact) points out that we aren't doing ANY damage to him, can we go to the next mission please, don't respond with "LoL no kill this!" I told him to have fun, and backed away from the fight. Shortly, the rest of the team did also, and finally he picked the next mission. But now we were only four, since the other Spider dropped out as soon as she saw his reply to my request. No matter.
Also, in the middle of the next mission, DO NOT say "Hey guys I gotta go check something on Xbox Live. Knock this out without me" then park yourself in a safe corner somewhere doing nothing but soaking up experience. We wiped once, I grew more and more annoyed, and after 15 minutes I told the others that if the star holder couldn't be bothered to actively contribute to the SF, than I wouldn't either.
Seriously. Don't be THAT guy. -
Ok, I don't have any darkity-dark characters, but I would love to see this title being offered on a book on the shelf of a Borders.

AND... our first MM guide. A twofer! And... it's an awesome guide! It's a meta-awesome guide!
No, Strato isn't paying me to say that, either. -
A+++++ Guide, would read again!
I've been thinking of making a Arch/MM blaster to see if I like that better than the Arch/EM one I have now (and really enjoy. I just like shooting arrows at stuff).
After reading this, I think I'll give it a shot. The soon to be born "Dire Cupid" on Infinity owes her life to you! -

I'd like to see more players posting builds, a lot of good ideas and discussion can spring forth. I'll put up my current and planned Archery/Energy and Archery/Devices builds, and my current TA/A when I get some time.

Ask, and ye shall receive (even if it is a couple of pages down the line).
This is my idea of how I might build Dread Cupid, my newest creation. She's only level 14 now, and I admit I haven't done alot of research. I might change things around as she levels and I get a better feel for her. Hey, I got plenty of vetspecs to burn! The only thing I know is that she has to keep flight as her travel powers, for character concept reasons.
And here she is!

My Guide about the Forum Star System has probably outlived it's usefulness.
I mourn to say that, of course. It's probably the only productive thing I've ever posted around here. /cry -
Very nice guide. Thanks for writing it!
-
Yay! This guide is saving me from having to look stupid in the Player's Questions section. Man, setting up a teleporter is more difficult than I thought. Is any of this documented in-game for peope that don't go to these forums?

Hi All,
I've been thinking about looking for a new SG. The one I have is good, and I like the leader and everything, but there are a couple of problems. One, I mainly play in the middle of the night on the weekends (3rd shift worker), and everyone in my SG is usually asleep then. And, my SG leader keeps moving the teleporters around. It's her base and I understand that she has the right to do so, but I'm getting pretty annoyed about making a new TP map every weeks.
Here's what I am/offer:
My main, Tealeaf, is a level 40 and rising kat/invun scrapper.
I go in and out of SG mode every other mission. If I am exemplared down, I go into SG mode. I am happy to donate base salvage if wanted.
Tealeaf will be reaching level 50, without question.
I tend to be chatty in SG channel. I like grouping with SG mates, though my puter does tend to freeze up when I'm in full parties.
I have been playing since about the second month that CoH was released. I understand basic team tactics such as pulling, not charging ahead when others are crying for an endurance break, and so on.
What I want:
A SG base with all the teleports, and a leader who doesn't re-arrange them on a whim often. A SG base with a crafting table.
A SG that has a few night owls would be great!
a SG that will also accept my husband. He does okay, and usually plays in SG mode.
Sorry this is so long, and sorry if I sound too demanding! -
