I actually started out on Protector for a few weeks myself. Some RL friends said to switch over Liberty because that is where they played. Seeing as it's more fun to play with friends, I did so.
Then 6 months later they left for WoW... some friends huh. LOL
But I stayed because I met so many wonderful people here. Some of the best people are on this server.

Catfarmer X's team finished with 50 minutes 7 seconds.
Treeeeeee's team finished with 54 minutes 18 seconds.
Pink Lemonade's team finished with 60 minutes 56 seconds.
Something like that. It was great! Thanks Sisterhood for throwing this, can't wait til next weekend for the 2nd Respec Race. Looks like Sisterhood Sunday's are gonna be fun. -
On this day... yes, today of all days... little baby Laseracid was forced into the world. Poor thing... 26 years ago today. Now he has grown into an even bigger baby Laseracid that we all have grown to know and well, to know.

I've managed to get my DM/ELA to 39 and his build is pretty solid... with a 9 second downtime on Energize and a 600+% Regen, I am not concerned with defenses, just resistance which is around 60-65%... 42% recharge, but again, decent enough attack chain that I'm not concerned with it...
I love how everyone so far is different. WOOT!
It's so much fun solo and even more so in a team. Give it more time and get into the 20s, you will enjoy it more. -

Yes, I too levelled some toons. My 22, now 38 Dark Melee/Electric Armor Scrapper saw many team wipes and much fun.
My 35, now 38 Plant Control/Storm Summoning Controller enjoyed a few levels as well.
That's pretty much it for the levels.

You're absolutely correct. So when I asked them why they phased... why not answer the question instead of ignoring and moving along. Most, not all people, when starting out in a game welcome tips and hints and suggestions. Most, not all people, love the idle chit chat that occurs in teams. I get what you are saying, but you sir, missed the point of this thread. Cappy altered it to give tips and suggestions. I did so. I was on that team and I was not mean to them, I did not begrudge them their build, but I did think it would be nice to post it here for everyone to see and for FUTURE budding Tankers to know, what NOT to do.
I digress.
EDIT: Ok, I did begrudge them for their build, but I did not voice this to them. It's their $15 bucks and they can do whatever they want... but whatever, obviously the point of this thread was missed... again. -

For all budding tanks... do not JUMP into a group with Phase Shift on, it's useless. I don't understand the concept of this build. My storm does not have O2 Boost because I'm selfish with some of my controllers. Now, if I was a storm defender, I would probably get it... but I've realized over time with the people that I team with, they can look out for themselves.
I guess my Ill/Rad is stupid for being able to solo a Positron TF or even to solo a Paladin. Hmm... guess it's stupid to be able to have a team of Defenders who can finish an STF without a tank or scrapper... guess it's stupid to be able to tank an AV and oh look... you are a blaster, or omg... a controller.
The best thing about this game is... you can play whatever the heck you want, however the heck you want. You can also ignore whoever you want and not team with them.
To each their own. Ya know. -

...has this been done before? Oh well, I don't care.
But I know I play too much CoH/Cov when... it seeps into my dreams and I wake up thinking... wow... that was cool.
In my dream, I was looking for my dogs. I entered a room and was surprised to find it was a mission on Villains side. Those big frost dudes were in groups of 7 or 8 (some dev nerfed my dream, cause that is nuts).
I needed help, and of all things, my sister was there and some other friends. Wish I could remember who... lol cause they said funny things that I don't remember.
We managed to get out of the mission... don't know how and my dogs were there. Along with several villains. They just stood there and we were all hesitant. Were we going to rumble!!??
Then one said, well take your mutts and go. Of course, we all know not to turn our backs on villains. So instead, we teleported the doggies home, so 5 of us are standing there... and this is what I woke up to giggling about...
My sister asked, me, ok how do we get back... I said well, we will use the Pocket D teleporter. She tells me we all don't have that fandangled vet power. I looked at the villains and said, can you beat them up so they can get to the hospital, then 3 of us hit our Pocket D teleporters... but instead it was the self-destruction. Oops...
The villains stared at us, and my friend said... I think you might wanna back up... cue my clock alarm.
Ya, I play too much CoH. I love it.
