He LITERALLY does nothing but ice sword now, and with the stupid, unjustified nerf to speed boost/pets, can not even boost the recharge on his ice sword which is all he seems to do now.

If they fix both things i found the ice/kin fairly enjoyable to solo, but in its current state is a PAIN.

Its a TERRIFIC team build, but for now, just never consider soloing lol.
LOL, I remember when we used to complain about Jack sittingin the back throwing snowballs, especially for those of us that are /kin.

I honestly haven't noticed this when I ran mine the other day, but I'll have to watch him a bit closer next time.

IOs rolled out around the time my ice/kin was in her mid 30s. After adding the damage procs, only Jack was doing more damage. I haven't looked at the most recent Herostats to see if that is still true.

    Agreed.

Solo'ing this morning on Liberty was ridiculous. I had to open combat log to see when some of my powers has recharged.

I never paid attention to east coast/west coast when picking servers, so I have no idea how I ended up on almost all east coast servers.

I just don’t think the author should have to choose.

Last night I was running an MA arc that I enjoyed it so much that I literally laughed out loud at one point. Now, the disclaimer is that the author is a friend. However, you don’t have to know her to understand how much work she put into her custom mobs, the story, and putting a little challenge into the missions.

She has stated that her TF was created to mesh the desires of her farming/power-gaming friends with her RP/story driven friends. A look at her numbers last night seems to indicate that it is going up in popularity. I'm guessing that since she has threads looking for feedback, etc., that she is writing for more than her own enjoyment.

I’d like to see the exp reward continue to be similar to running regular missions.

And exactly why is Ultimo running 4 toggles? For survivalibility of course. Low HP and lack of being able to properly defend yourself with your own primary is a very real issue with defenders. Again, simple to solve? Maybe not, but more HP gives a defender more time to live.
Yes, proper slotting does mean that you focus on your attacks for endurance. . first. I still put end reductions in any toggles.

I understand the weave/manuevers to get close to the cap on a bubbler, but why the tough? Just to reduce damage that does get in?

Cat is right, 3 white minions should not require anything from a primary or pools.

Other characters are more for less directed fun. Those that I don't have goals for, I tend to play in a much less directed manner. I don't really care what I'm doing on my scrapper for instance. If it sounds fun, that's where I'm going. I doubt I'll even bother with common IO's for that one, much less an optimized build.

Farmers farm because they are farmers. It doesn't matter even how you define farming, it could be street sweeping in atlas. If you define their group membership based on an activity, if they participate in that activity they are a member of the group. There is not one answer to why all of them participate in that activity, each one has their own personal reasons.

Given that it's a video game, I'm guessing that the answer for most people is they derive some sort of enjoyment from farming. And that's probably the only true answer to your question.

You are now my favorite redname.

Back when I was a welfare case manager, I knew a lot of those fisherman.

As far as the game, I’m goal oriented and I have certain characters that I took a lot of time leveling up. I enjoy playing them still, so I “farm” merits, tickets, influence/infamy on them. I also enjoy working on builds for them that will "flesh" out the character (the original point of the invention system as stated by the devs when they were rolling it out.) These builds are quite expensive.

Over the last week, this is how I’ve farmed:

    1) Attended a mothership raid, a lot of fun on a /traps. Lots of Vanguard merits farmed.

    2) Ran Synapse on a 50, fun and lots of merits farmed! Once I’m done with the current build I’m working on for her, I’m going to come up with a TF build that has lower level enhancements.

    3) Teamed with my husband and daughter for hours on our late 30s controllers, farmed influence that they all need at the moment. Then, my husband noticed that he was a few merits short of a random roll, so farmed the Ouroborous TF for those merits.

    4) Ran a farm mission in the AE, nasty critters that do smashing/lethal damage with non-stop ambushes. Ran it with my fire armor brute. Played the “eat the skittles” game along with trying to time my powers just right. Got down to 1 hp a few times. Heart-pounding fun, ran it a second time. Nice amount of tickets. Random rolls produced a few recipes that other characters on that server can use.

I also ran regular missions, lead some teams, duo’d, solo’d, and worked on a costume.

While I agree with you 100%, most people associate RA with recovery aura not understanding how potent regen aura is. But, maybe the trend has changed. I've only teamed with one emp that wasn't me in the last year. . . and that person is another that gamer that understands how amazing both RAs are.

I agree. I see as being a fun set for those people that like utility sets, (i.e. trick arrow and storm).

In my opinion, triage beacon just comes too early in the set. It really needs slotting. Personally I like it, but I also always take regen aura on my empths. I slot both the same way. The “planting” of it is annoying and therefore usually means I only get it out right before the tougher fights.

Why yes, I did lose billions on the market when work/life took over my gaming time for a few months.

Surprised you're the first one considering this.

My dark/traps has been a blast, I'm starting to work on soft-capping her.

Gonna have to strongly disagree with you there. In fact, tanks have been complaining for years that they are completely replaceable by a good controller or several of the defender primaries, (think dark), especially in the late game. I'm lucky enough that I play with people that believe in "bring whatever you want, we'll figure it out." But, if I was joining a team that was all damage, no support, I'd reach for my ill/rad troller first, my dark/rad defender second.

Tanks are nice to have on a team, just like every other powerset.

3-4 hours running the same mission over and over again is a perfect definition of farming. Since they've frowned on it for all other rewards, it's nice to see that they are re-looking at badge farming.

Ummm, our family characters might have made it to their 20s when I found out there were trainers other than the original two.
