  1. My first and only MM is a Merc/Poison...that's right I am crazy lol. He has taught me a lot but I still wanted to try out /Dark for my Demon/ Mastermind. I love it, it's like easy mode but I admit it's not a boss killer like /Poison.

Heck with my Merc/Poison I was taking down Eb's and Av's...and he didn't even have Noxious Gas yet! I think one of my favorite powers in the /poison set is Neurotoxic Breath? It's amazing..especially when it holds.

I would love to see /Poison as an option for Corrs.
  2. Indeed Gavin, if you had Heat Loss slotted correctly you can enter a mob and nuke with no worries(if it's a healthy sized mob). I have a lvl 39 Cold/Sonic Defender and I run on +0/+3 or -1/+4 mobs. I wish I would of rolled Cold/Ice but I'm stuck with what I have...ANYWAY with Heat Loss at your finger tips you should be able to nuke more often. Hell, on Teams my Cold/Sonic plays like a blaster.

I use heat loss on a mob, Nuke them and then hit them with my cone until there's no one left standing.

I have a Ice/Dark corr and he plays a lot like a cold/ice. you will do the most dmg when you hide behind a wall. I hope our advice helps you out!
  3. I'm not going to even bother Pilgrim you responded to my post in such a rude manner.
  4. Well, if they are going to Nerf Shield Charge please Fix Oil Slick Arrow...I mean c'mon...it's embarrassing.

I better level a shield before the Nerf so I can at least get a taste of the good stuff.
  5. LOL *beats dead horse* most of the people in the game are SB whores. A kin should not be expected to take SB the same way AM isn't expected on a rad...Both powers are awesome but a rad would never get kicked for not having AM. A kin would get kicked or banned for not taking SB.
  6. I learned my lesson...I only play /Kins once or a few times every 6 months. The amount of energy it takes to play one can bring me to my knees.

I really hate how buffing ppl with SB can mess up my dmg cycle and how they don't give a pttoty if I'm using my other powers to aid the team. Yes the team deals more dmg but when you play a Kin you feel like you only have 1 power and that's SB. I've seen people cryout in outrage when someone skips SB but they don't even blink an eye when the kin skips fulcrum, transference.

Seriously I was on a team with two of 'em when the set first came out and I honestly had ot say "Um why do you need us on team again?"

Hell, if memory serves I think there used to be a problem with its ranged defense portion too. Either it wasn't granting the ranged def, or it was granting only that portion. I forget.
Oh wow...no wonder I was thinking to myself "Steamy Mist seems to be MUCH better as far as defense goes" I'm not a numbers person so the information you just told me only now adds up. Heh

    ? Arctic Fog issue?

The only trap power that feels like forever to me is Trip Mine and Time Bomb.
  10. I rarely see AR, Arch, Energy, Sonic or Ice. I have a Cold defender and he's amazing...Heat Loss turns me into a blaster.

Ice/ is great as well. I have an Ice/Dark that is amazing on teams. I still chuckle to myself when I lay down My AOE Icyness of doom.

Tar Patch+Aim+Frost Breath+Ice Storm+Blizzard...Wait, oops did I accidentally kill the EB and two mobs surrounding him? I DO apologize.
  11. Again I agree...to bad one cannot skip the first two powers...

Since it seems to have been forgotten in the tangentially pointless e-peen contest, I'd like to point out that AR also has Flamethrower.
Star actually beat me to it LOL. I was about to say..."Are they skipping out Flamethrower?!" I would list the numbers of that one for yah Gal but it seems my mids are actin' up on me. The Corr numbers are showing 160 dmg. I wonder what's wrong with my mids?
  13. I LOVE fighting Ritki on my Bane. I set the diff on +0/+5 and I have a blast.
  14. Fire is amazing but Nothing can pull more aggro than Fire/. If you dish out your fire attacks you WILL pull off aggro from the tank onto you. So tbh you can't really unleash with Fire/ like you want to...and if you do you have to be VERY cautious.

It's on of those builds that look good on paper but in reality it can be NOT so fun.

    VEATs and HEATs

Wow...so many awesome posts...umm I agree with all of you LOL. I have seen a buttload of VEATS which really makes me happy. In fact last night I was on a team with 3 MM's, 1 Dom and 3 VEATS three of the VEATS had most of their leadership abilities already picked so the team just MELTED through spawns...it was actually beautifully disgusting to be honest.

I hope the same goes for HEATS. From What I've been told WS's are the least played Group...why is that? They are awesome on a bun...maybe it has something to do with them being SUCH a late bloomer.

    VEATs and HEATs

At first the changed angered me...but then I had to come to my senses. Also it's good for me since I main Red Side. It will bring more Red Side players to our low numbers. I still don't understand why people don't like COV...is i the gray sky issue? If so the devs need to throw in a "tropical" zone lol.

Thugs and Bots both cause a ridiculous amount of enemy scatter due to fear effects in burn patches and such, and it drives me up the wall. Knockback I can sort of handle, and with the right secondary (Storm, for instance) I can even make it work in my favor. But the fear flag on area damage powers is just a ... bad word... to deal with, and I find my henchies go running off after runners and draw aggro from nearby spawns entirely too much.

And I don't really like melee pets. So Mercs have been my favorite. My Mercs/Storm is amazing, and my Mercs/Pain is ok.

I'd actually argue that Mercs is the best synergistic fit with /Storm of all the primaries.
It's funny that you mention that about /Storm. I've had many friends recommend that combo for me. I have a Merc/Poison who's almost 50 and I want to make another Merc. Also Merc/Storm would not make me pull my hair out as much as Merc/Poison.

Merc and Demons seem to be the only Primaries from the Mastermind AT I can actually lvl to 50 w/o wanting to delete lol.
  18. They need to work on the recharge time on Mercs...but other than that they are awesomesauce. I don't know about you guys but Out of all the other MM sets opening up with Mercs is my favorite part of the set. They just SHUTDOWN a mob with their Alpha...but after that things get kinda....normal. I always love it when my mercs Alpha though, it reminds me of the 4th of July.

Gah! The Ads for you vid by google showed this awesome Bollywood video and now I want to see it @_@.
  20. Thanks guys...lol you took the words right out of my mouth.

Fire if you are looking for a quick ranged build Mind/Fire is the way to go.
  21. Have you made any controllers? I would go with a set you're familiar with. I can't stand fire control...well until I got the imps and then it was very tolerable. A Fire/Fire Dom is devastating but I don't care for the build much. I feel that Fire/ has a lot of control holes in it... and /Fire seems lacking in making up for those gaps.

I felt safer with a Plant/ and Earth/ fire. It might be best if you team heavily til you get to lvl 32.

Everyone plays their doms in many ways...but I tend to play them like this...

Control > Ranged Blast > Melee

    Like a controller-blaster

what bugs you most about playing a dom?
  22. Very Smexy guide update Nightwolf! TY!
  23. No I know I want to look Skilled and Pretty when I play my Kin/Nrgy Stalker.
