That job involved taking a bag of highly explosive material and run it up through a live mine field while dodging bullets and artillary shells just to lay the explosives next to the mines so there can be a path cleared for the batallion of M1 Abrams tanks that are hauling butt to my location. Fun job but the life expectancy of the average engineer was about 12 seconds into the mine field. Kind of suicidal really....... I wonder if that makes me suicidal?

One of the upgrades to the medic must be the combat engineer mentality. No soldier that's not a bag of C4 I just handed you IT'S A FIRST AID KIT!!!!! GET BACK IN LINE MAGGOT!!

So if you like playing redside, you won't have to move them unless you want to do so for other reasons.
I'm glad they did the merge as well claws b/c let's be honest we were going to loose A LOT of redside toons if the markets remain the same.
  3. ...This set makes me nervous...I will roll one anyway if it sucks...so I can complain about it and tell everyone how leet I am for enduring it :P.

Just joshin'. I don't do it with Gravity and I surely will not do it with this set...brag that is.
  4. Ice is a tough one as well but once one gets Blizzard they forget all of the struggle...well for the few seconds the power is going off at least hehe.

Sonic took a while for me as well...heck the sounds were enough to turn me off.
  5. Oi, I feel bad now..I should of known this thread was going to come to this :<

I dunno, the ones that I made just were not doing it for me...the closest I got was a ss/fire but when I took a break a couple years ago, he got shelved hehe..
Well hang in there! Also, I have a friend who slots Kinetic Combat: Knockdown bonus in his tier 1 attack. I must warn you though it's crazy expensive.
  7. I understand fully Sam, BUT veats are new to many so it's going to be commonplace for players to not realize how awesome certain powers are. Also no matter how mean one can be if you are willing to lead a team, people will ask for you. I'm not trying to poke fun at yah, I'm just saying it's rare that a person would step forward to lead a team...so expect people to want to team even if you are Hitler himself lol.

Also like others have stated let them know as well...I know it sounds silly but even I didn't know about Howling Twilight until someone had to pull me to the side lol.

I will also pretend I didn't see the comment about Kin and SB lol. :P
  8. I try to take Repel whenever I have room...which is never but I would if I could! Awesome power and fun!

I've actually saved a low level team a few times by running around with repel on to keep the snakes on their backs!

    Warshade blues

To be honest Dr it's one of those "to each his own" type of deal. I didn't try for Tri form until I was lvl 40+ (I went Dwarf/Human). I could not imagine leveling a WS with my slots stretched out so much at the low levels. Indeed you are correct about the form switching. With a WS you will be switching in and out a lot until the 30's. At level 25 I only found myself switching to human form to use Sunless Mire, Gravity Well and Stygian Circle because....well, they are awesome-sauce.

I found myself in this pattern well into the late 20's but once you hit 30 the magic starts to happen. Warshades take some time so try to hang in there. I know after leveling a PB they can be a bit...slow in comparison.

I love my Warshade! To be honest he's the closest thing to a Necromancer in this game.
  10. I think Earth/ Mind/ and Plant/ is the safest you can get. I have a Earth/Thorn and she can tear into a mob or three.
  11. I have a DM/Invul as well and I paired the two together b/c I think they both would really help each other out.

I agree, I was just making sure that people don't forget about /Elec as well.

I've seen a fully Io'd out Spines/FA go to work during a demon farm and it was amazing...wait, no more like godly. That actually sold me. I ended up rolling a Spines toon...and also a Earth/Thorn dom (I love her!).

I am still working on the spines though (they are tough to deal with solo).
  13. what lvl are you? Like others has stated you should stick to upping the levels and not the mob size...until you get into your 40's then you should let loose! With Elec/ big mobs are a must due to their AOE capability...but you're still awesome as well! You're just mouch more suited for ST.

Don't be fooled though with some good positioning and the Sands of Mu plus Maul you can take out quite a few guys at once!

    What's your build like buddy? Human/Dwarf? Human/Nova?
  16. I would go Zombie/Storm.

With Hurricane and all that -To Hit flying around you end up completly safe by debuffing them and zombies deal some decent ST dmg as well.

Ninja is a nice combo as well but very risky. I've been told no one deals ST dmg like Ninjas though...controlling them sometimes can be a "challenge" to put it mildly.
  17. Try to get both. Siphon Power is worth it. One should not always depend on others...a very important lesson in life lol. Kins are clicky so you and your buds will not always have enough time to focus on debuffing him. One or two of you will be focusing on mezzing, draining, siphon speedin', immob, damagin', healing...so don't always think that you all will be hitting FS at the same time or all the time. Things can EASILY go wrong...esp if you deal with some phasing Av's or Heroes.
  18. I would stick with what you have bud. I have a TA/DP and I prefer it that way...I would of went insane if I had to wait that long for Slick and EMP arrow. Once you get some nice recharge in there you should be golden.
  19. Fire/Elec is awesome. Great Offense! Once you get Energize and Power Sink your end issue will go out the window. Lightning Field will push out the dmg and keep your foes Taunted...(is that even a word?).

The only Issue with that build is mitigation. If I was you I would go for Air Superiority and try to squeeze it into your build. It will save your bacon and keep the baddies off of their feet.

I have a elec/elec and a Fire/Invul just to let you know . With Fire/Elec you have to have the mentality of "Kill them before they kill you". I like to pair up Secondaries that help out with mitigation like /Shield.

What problems did you have with your last brute?

Also, Mind/ doms with very high recharge can hold through the triangles on AV's. Not sure on other primaries, though.

It's funny that this has come to Dom vs. Controller, as it seems to overlook a fun thing in the future: (after going rogue) dom and controller teams. With that much lockdown, no foe would pose a threat. Doms would serve as an excellent containment setup for controllers, while any damage boosts from controllers would greatly enhance doms, due to their extremely high damage mods. Yum!
!!! Oh dear god...you are right seldom! A Controller/Dom Team would be LAWL.
  21. That's a bit crazy...I was going to post about this and then bam I see this thread. Not to much of an issue with me though.
  22. When I first started playing, I hated making IO's (well to be honest back then IO's were not around) it took me a looonnnnggg time to get into it but now since I am more at home with the system and game I have no issue with crafting to my heart's content...I just wish I would of bought all those Kinetic Melee IO's when they were only selling for 3 to 4 thousand a pop .

not are they outliers in the controller world but the entire Game lol. Not that I am complaing mind you I love both Dom and Troller.

I never said that RPers weren't putting up arguments against it, and I'm not defending them or defeating them.

We don't know for sure what a merged market will do until it's implemented. Those that claim to know for sure are overstepping reasonable bounds. All they can do is guess and hope. Now, when GR hits, we'll find out for sure who was right.
Did you just say "My Bad" *chuckle" as if that phrase is even in my vocabulary...or are you attacking me trying to get a raise out of me by using a phrase I should be "down with". *rolls eyes*.

With all the doom flying around about the latest booster pack and market merge excuse me if I feel that I need to boldly state my opinion as well.

It seems as well "dog" (that IS goofy is it not?) that you didn't understand my post as well. I just agree that that markets should merge, just like you disagree about the merge. How about we agree to disagree and leave it at that.
