Rad/Fire Blasters are amazing but they attract enough Aggro to make a Tank blush. You have been warned...but nothing can beat a Rad/Fire when it comes to how many Aoe's/pbaoe's you can use.

I don't get why many bring up the "lack of dmg" stalkers seem to not have. They have the classic ST chain and then they have AS which dishes out over 1000 dmg with build up(at lvl 50)...then you hit Placate and use AS to dish out roughly 700 dmg. Then after that you continue with your chain and....when placate recharges which is only 30 seconds w/o hasten on a lvl 50 stalker you repeat. Sounds good to me.
Stalkers also can "distract" I can't hold aggro of the whole mob that well with a stalker but I can keep Bosses, EB's and AV's annoyed. Also with double or triple Stacked Divine Avalanche and Shadow Meld you can keep a half of the mob busy and have them questioning why you are not Dead yet.
I would like to see how they put out less dmg when we all know Stalkers are supposedly the Blasters of Redside...even though Masterminds pull ahead but there's not much a mastermind can't do. -

I find my WM/WP brute to be amazingly devastating. I know everyone and their cousin thinks SS is the godly brute path, but I don't know that I buy it. WM has both good single target and AOE damage, and while foot stomp has a nice wide area, the damage on crowd control is quite good, and that 180 degree arc can easily get the 10 target max without trouble.
About the only thing which holds WM back in the single target DPS chain sweepstakes is that as a weapon set, it can't do the gloom thing for that huge DPAS boost. Otherwise it is extremely competitive. -

I agree with you Alpha and Zamuel. If i played my stalker badly I would get booted w/o hesitation. I've been on teams with countless bad brutes, masterminds and Corruptors but I can't count on one hand how many times a team I've been on died b/c of a bad stalker.

I laughed at this so hard I cried. Then I went out and played my 50 Grav/Sonic that has no Stamina, no IO bonuses, and dimension shift. It's a toon where everything is wrong. Did a respec trial and about 7 radios.
Was totally awesome. Used dimension shift. Used the teammate-based knockback toggle. Wormholed mobs that were already around the tank. Did everything you should never do. Never once got a complaint. In fact, people we asking how I managed to make such a build work.
Grav is _so_ broken, and yet somehow still works well.
I still use my Grav/kin but I don't love him as much as Plant or Earth. I am not asleep I had two cups of coffee this morning :P.
PS. -Well I am telling a lie I am leveling up a Grav/Energy Dom. -

LOL, for all you you fellow posters who say that you've never encountered being rejected as a stalker YOU are the lucked out ones! I have played numerous Stalkers and I have had insults and I have been kicked from Teams as well as ITF's and SF's. It just something to do with the n00b players in fact I'm had my bane kicked from team before...mind you he was running two Maneuvers two Assaults and Vengeance that just proves right there how crazy some people are.

VEATS and HEATS are like apples and oranges really. Can't compare the two together when it comes down to an issue like this.
