I'm actually the Magazine guy at a Big bookstore and I wish I could put this magazine on the shelf! It would be awesome. Thank you for sharing that!

Quote:I wish I'd read this guide before doing my first BAF. I've been running a Gravity/FF controller and was a little baffled (heh) as to what to do most of the time. I usually leave Force Bubble off because I've had a number of complaints regarding the KB. If this is the right time/place to use Force Bubble, can you let me know where the best place to use it would be? (And any other advice for this toon would also be welcome!)
Thanks muchly!
Force bubbles doesn't work on AV's no? I would only use it when you have Seige and Nightstar near the helipad. That way you can keep their reinforcements in the PBAOE/AOE range but use it wisely. Also if you're near one of the doors it's great to use it then to keep the escapees from getting to far. This helps out everyone so they can lockdown or kill the escapees.
Also for the doors throw down a rain power or caltrops. this will knock down their HP to half before they even get out the door. -
Quote:oh...Oh...my. This pleases us greatly....yesssss. I will have to take a look at mids! Thank you! It's not easy to simplify how the musculature works for damage because of the unique way that dominators build for perma-dom.
Take a power like havoc-punch. I have it five slotted with crushing impact for the recharge bonus. It's Mid's damage increase is ~95%. The common and uncommon musculature slotting won't boost the damage that much, but it is noticeable.
Now if you have a power like Tesla Cage, my Elec/elec/cold dom has only four basilisk gazes in that for the the recharge bonus to get to permadom. There are NO slots for damage, yet this power in itself will do a modest ~60 points of damage, on a tight recharge. Each and every point of musculature boost will improve the damage from Tesla Cage. The boost to the pets, gremlins and voltaic sentinel, isn't bad either. -
It's very unlikely they would port spines to brutes. That set has so much going on...I know many times over Posi wanted to do something with the set but he didn't in fear of a riot lol. Ice.Ice is more likely to get ported over than Spines I think.
-
I keep hearing this and that about musculature. Some say it ups your dmg by a significant amount others say it's equivalent to a small red inspiration due to diminishing returns. Could someone clear this up for me I'm ready to pull my hair out lol.

Quote:Oh I don't hate it! It's awesome but still creepy! I remember the first time I saw that power I HAD to have it!!I love Creepers! because of that creep factor, it really makes my Red Side Plant/Thorn fill really evil, very satisfying
Not only did they fix the AI they fixed the resistance numbers. I think it was off by a place or two and you could literally sneeze on it and kill it. Not now, it can actually absorb an alpha...well and then die lol. -
I thinks stalkers should get it as well. Brutes and Stalkers.

Quote:Well that and the change that /Psi dealt with. To be honest I would go plant all the way. If you team a lot be you located in The isles or Praetoria teaming will quickly rocket you to lvl 20. Also end Game wise I think you can push out more dmg with Plant/Fire than Fire/Psi.The only reason this is even a discussion is because of the lvl difference, if they were the same lvl, I'd go with plant. It visually looks better and has more tools...I just dont want to do 1-20 anymore even though with inhernt fitness pool its less brutal. I think I made the fire dom for a alternate farmer, however....that changed because brutes just do it better.

Excellent advice Adeon.

Sign me up on the test server. Plant/Fire/Fire Here on freedom.

I like throwing in the -res proc and getting that yummy 6.25 recharge but you could do without him if you reallllyyy want to. He is a bit vapid but at times he saves my butt be it taking a bite out of an enemy, casting roots on a mob or dieing for me while I haul booty out of a stressful situation.
Fly trap freaks you out more than carrion creepers? Carrion creepers use to give me the...well creeps. That awesome sound they make, the suggestive hentai appearance lol. -
I would go plant/fire. Plant has that LOVELY confuse power that just makes things so so safe. Roots does beautiful dmg for a immob and you can throw a few fun procs in it. Carrion Creepers can tank for you and Your Pet can help with cleaning things up and you can throw a proc in it as well.
/fire is self explanatory!
Fire/ is a bit spotty you need to make sure you bunch mobs up to make sure your controls hit. Bonfire can do decent dmg if you use it right but it's not worth the trouble sometimes. The imps throw out some crazy dmg though sheesh!
/Psi...I'm not big on...it's not what it once was. I have an Ice/Psi so maybe that's why I seem a bit bias but he can't fight his way out of a wet paper bag sometimes. Mind you though I put my doms through HELL. -
I think there's a few toons that would need Cardiac...like Storm or Sonic anything. Kins would do well going the Acc route even after IO's I think. Dark Armor could use End or acc love.
Plant/Fire is tough on End so maybe I will go the Cardiac Route *sigh*. -
Quote:You are right it was correct at the time. That actually was correct that the time that was originally posted i believe.
Thanks for the feedback Smooth. I actually still have a lot to learn so I was going by other posts, spotty math and guesstimation lol. Gathering from what you told me and considering that my Plant/Fire will be purpled out I'm going to go the end route. Thanks to my Sets my Recharge and Acc will be on point so I have little options left. -
I have a Plant/Fire that still has a ways to go before he's Perma. For now he's slotted with Spiritual until I provide him with more Recharge...once I complete that I'm going Musculature with him to pump out some serious damage...now what to do fore lore and the rest should be interesting.
My Elec/Ice Will go the dmg alpha route...no questions asked....I have a Defender Traps/Ar I know he's not a dom...but what do you guys think? Should I go for dmg for him since he's a Defender? -
The only thing that urkls me about AR is changing all the running around you have to do to get the most out of the cones...it's worth it though. Dp is more player friendly lol.
-
Hrmm maybe my plant/fire dom should take the musclature route instead of spiritual.
-
Dark/Traps sounds good on paper but in reality it's a bit meh compared to DP, Fire, Sonic and AR.
-
I don't know about you all...but...the merging issue aside. I'm friggin' thrilled about this!
Finally, I will be able to kick butt along-side my neighbors across the pond!
Also there will be more people on during Odd times which is great for the NA players who work odd hours like me.
Unity. Eventually once things are worked out everyone will be able to join in on the fun. I think this move will make the community stronger than ever before and hey maybe even tempt some players into moving over seas! lol
MOAR random Pug fun.
Awesome EU SG's and VG's!
Admiring accents through sentence structure and vocabulary use!
Free Kettle Corn!
>_> -
Oh Boy. I'm never PvP'ing again LOL.

The sleep is awesome in SOOOO many ways. It's a patch much like Earthquake which alone is awesome it sleeps the mobs every few seconds, it drains the end AND it gives the end back to you. *sheds tear* it's...it's just so beautiful. I feel so horrible b/c when the set first hit I complained endlessly about it lol.
-
Haha, Go Luminara! ^___^ I love TA when I'm on teams a bit more than traps. Solo though if you're a corr I would go with Traps. Traps has room for many tasty procs as well.
-
Just throw in the Devastation chance for hold proc in there...things get quite sexy very fast.
