I can wait! Well until December if it's after that I'm raising Heck! :P
-
Bah! The forum ate my post! *sigh* I'm to lazy to write it all out again. So I'm going to say I agree with Sio about the bump. Also thanks Sio for the chart.

I understand that but the lack of aoe hurts stalkers big time. It's almost as if there's no true solution for the AT w/o having to raise the dmg for blasters even more. Maybe that's the only true solution.
To be honest I can't truly argue my point due to me not knowing where certain At's stand dmg wise. I'm assuming it's like this...
Blasters..........StlkrScrapper or is it...
Blasters...StlkrScrapper -
LOL, No Devs running away when it comes to fixing the issue! :P
Seriously, OSA didn't get fixed until what...barely a year ago? I was shocked that a Defender Tier 9 attack was overlooked/not fixed for so many years. Maybe Stalkers share the same fate. -
It's a shame Stalkers have gotten the "Oil Slick" treatment.

Quote:Why do Blasters feel that they have to out dmg Stalkers? Stalkers should have more dmg than a blaster anyway if you compare the AT's. It just seems to me the people who would complain about stalkers doing more dmg really can't see the big picture...or either they never have played a stalker before. The Blaster melee damage modifier is already the same as a Stalkers - scale 1.0 - the modifier is higher for ranged damage, where they have the same modifier that Scrappers have for melee (1.125) and get Defiance to provide a fairly persistent +damage. Of course, generally speaking ranged attacks have a lower damage scale than melee attacks...
I'd still be content with a 1.125 base modifier and the same melee damage buff modifier that Scrappers and Blasters get. If Blasters want more damage because of that, fine. They can get the same 1.125 for melee, and then they won't have a lower melee modifier than Dominators (1.05).
Besides, according to the devs more damage fixes everything. Just look at the changes made on Tankers (Bruising: -res = +dam) and Defenders (straight +dam). -
I don't find it to be to big of a deal if a stalkers Dmg was the same as blasters...I still feel that a blaster would come out on top due to ranged attacks, aoe's and pbaoe's.

I'm also looking forward to the changes in Poison Trap. I want to know are they just changing what the power can do or are they also going to allow certain procs to be used in the power.
-
I agree with Ketch...I don't wanna go back.
-
I agree with you about the revamp...to be honest I doubt the Devs will try to fix The At a bit...On the other hand I would love to eat my own words.

Quote:Why ignore it? It gives you immunity to mezzes and you get the end boost.I didn't even know that they removed the damage bonus until now. Looks like I am not even going to bother with my new dominator any time soon. I have a level 50 Mind/Thorn I loved to play, but domination now seems "meh" to me. Especially since my new dominator is a Elec/Earth. From what I can understand, Elec/ is one of the primaries that benefit the least.
-
Plant is a good Primary as well SOC it's awesome.
-
It's also what sets you play as well. My Nin/nin can tank but he's not always the best at killing things quickly.
-
Quote:I agree about the fact that with most AT's one cannot contribute much to a fast steam rolling team but Even Tanks can...well Tank on the drop of a hat if needed be. Scrappers are still criting while moving fast but stalkers....We can only score Crits out of hide which is great dmg but if you think you can get off AS good luck. Stalkers are mainly built around AS and if that's taken away from you you're kinda out of luck. I think the AT needs The dominator treatment, the devs need to research and ask opinions of fellow players.True. However, I feel that way on most ATs on a team that's steamrolling...
I either just buff, try to stand in the middle of aggro, or throw AoEs or controls and hope that I'm doing something. I fully admit that in that situation, Stalkers feel like they're doing less than most.
Patteroast do you feel that the AT doesn't need any looking at? Or would you make small subtle changes? I think it needs a bit more. Each Melee AT has something going for it...but stalkers don't in a way of speaking. I love sneaking around and ganking people but I feel more powerful and capable with a scrapper than I feel with a Stalker. I feel like I'm playing a Glass Canon minus the Cannon! -
It's not that easy. Stalkers have a tough time on a team. I'm not saying you're not useful that you can't contribute but you can't use your true power/skill when you're on a steam rolling team.

GIS is pretty sad. Even w/o being a math wiz one can easily test out the damage GIS deals. Ice Sword outshines GIS in dmg over time. The set is very Tanky so I hope they modify it a bit for Stalkers.

After posting here and discussing the reality of Ice Melee ever becoming available for stalkers I started to cry manly tears of sadness...Do you guys think Ice Melee needs to be reworked or do you think if it ever was ported over to Brutes it would need some changes? -
I'm assuming Ice Barrage is much like Shadow Maul? I've never heard of that power. I think it would be wise of them to Add Two pbaoe's to bring Ice up to snuff with sets like DB, Elec Melee, Spines.
Just frozen Aura and The cone counting as you're only "aoe" that sounds a bit anemic...*Looks at the Claws and Spine sets and is horrified at how gutted out it is.* Why didn't Brutes get Ice again? No wonder most stalkers play Elec Melee! I think I need to lay down. -
Quote:I agree with your list as well...I just...it feels weird to see Ice Melee Without Ice Slick but it's possible. *Looks at Icy Assault* Ice slash is a bit strong for a Tier 3, so I agree with the Change.AoE isn't the problem there. You've got fewer AoE attacks there than Elec Melee has. The problem is the lack of the minor tier 1 / moderate tier 2 combo that ALL scrapper and stalker primaries have. Not sure they are willing to break that mold however interesting it might be to do so. So your 1 and 2 powers will likely remain Frozen Fists and Ice Sword. Ice Slash is also a bit strong for the tier 3 slot. And Ice Patch is most definitely not like anything any other Stalker has in its primary though I'd have to say if they keep it then an Ice/Ninja would be one heck of a Stalk-troller.
Anyway, I'd expect something more like this:
1.Frozen Fists
2.Ice Sword
3.Frost
4.Assassin's Spike
5.Build Up
6.Placate
7.Ice Sword Circle
8.Ice Slash (or Freezing Touch)
9.Frozen Aura
Again, not saying I like this one better than your version... just that it seems more in-line with what we've been seeing from recent proliferations. They've been plenty willing to add more AoEs, but not to lose the basic tier 1/2. Not yet anyway.
A lot of people hate Frost but it has a SUPER wide cone...almost so wide that it feels like an aoe and does great dmg...it's just VERY slow DOT. The dot is about as slow as the Dot you get when you are hit by a Poison Dart Blast from the Freakshow:Meat Doctor. -

Thanks so much for the prompt Reply Obscure! I might have to check out Pill's Guide.

I think ISC would make more sense and it would add more AOE to the set...
Take out Taunt and make it hide. Take out GIS and make is ISC. Make Freezing Touch AS or Change the power to Something like the normal AS but more...Ice like...A giant Icicle or maybe an Ice Stalagmite jutting from the ground.
1.Ice Sword (or Frozen Fists)
2.Frost
3.Ice Slash
4.Assassin's Spike
5.Build Up
6.Placate
7.Ice Patch(Freezing Touch)
8.Ice Sword Circle
9.Frozen Aura
This set may be nothing but a pipe dream though...with that Much AOE...
Ice Patch is the only power that bothers me...it doesn't seem stalker-ish. I can't say much though look at ninjitsu and EA
