You're inspiring me....maybe I should play my poison toon and get him to 50 regardless of the Poison Trap issue.
-
...I am enjoying my stalker so much...I forgot how awesome they are! My rebooted toon is already lvl 15 lmao.
-
This list is a Godsend.
-
Holy REGEN! Thanks I really love this build! Thanks so much guys for the help!
-
Man o man am I lagging behind...I should of just went redside and did the DFB runs to get my level up.
Edit: Yeah, I'm going to scrap my toon and go redside and then get to 20 so I can work on going to rogue. -
Here is my omg did I just spend 3 BILLION build lol. I decided to go for Recharge and a tiny bit of defense. For mt Alpha I went Cardiac and for my Destiny I focused on Barrier. As you can see I also aimed for +Regen and Recov let me know what you guys/gals think.

Thanks Sypher, that build has a lot of defense and other things going for it. I might tweak a little bit to make it my flavor but it is right near the defense cap.
This build is crazy...but I think I might do the same thing that I did with my Plant/Fire...no focus on defense just plain recharge so I can either control whatever is in my way or burn it to the ground. -
Quote:I've noticed if Spawns are spread out I get in trouble pretty fast. Hrm, maybe I should mezz the spawn and the big hitters and THEN run in. I think I like your advice about going for ranged defense. I can make up for recharge once I work for the Incarnate stuff... Thanks so much Little for the feedback/help! I'm going to play around in mids! With so many single target attacks accepting mako's and t-strikes, you could softcap yourself to ranged. That would largely eliminate alphas, since nearby enemies would be mezzed by seeds and the rest would be far enough away that the AI would use ranged attacks first.
But... You do seem to want to spend most of your time in melee so it's questionable whether ranged def would justify the lower global rech you would have. hmm. I dunno. If it was me, i'd go heavy on the recharge and use proper positioning to mezz as many enemies as possible. If any weren't mezzed, you could use your fast recharging big hitters to take them out asap. Seems like this might work, although multiple spawns or spawns that are spread apart might be pretty tough. -
Hello fellow Domsters, I need build help on this toon! I can't seem to stop thinking about making this dom and I having a hard time figuring out what I need to make this build work!
I like to try all the secondaries when it comes to dominators and Energy is the last one on the list. Since I'm not a huge fan of Knock back I chose Plant as a primary. Plant is not only great for damage and mitigation (and it's my favorite control set in the game) but the pet throws out roots just as often as I do. So it would be almost impossible for me to send mobs flying across the galaxy due to all the immobs from me spamming roots, Fly Trap spamming roots and last but not least Carrion Creepers with it's immob patch.
I'm also locked into Primal Mastery because...
1) Energy Assault has a very Hybrid Ranged/Melee feel but bone smasher, Total Focus, Whirling Hands and Power Burst make you want to get in there and Blap it out!
2) I've always wanted an excuse to take that set and I love Energy Transfer(non kb), Energy Torrent, and Explosive Blast...just Ironically I hate KB :/.
3) I would normally take Ice Mastery but I love the fact that with Primal I can Take down a Boss with Energy Transfer, Bone Smasher and Total Focus but also handle big mobs with Energy Torrent and Explosive Blast.
THE REAL QUESTION (finally!)
Since I'm forced to take Temp Invulnerability should I not worry about going for a Dom that is defense built? Should I focus more on Recharge and treat Seeds and Carrion Creepers as my defense? (example: kill them before they kill you)
Even after Level Bumping this toon and playing around with his build I'm having issues (and MAN is he hard on end!).
Here's the build that I am leaning towards. I didn't slot it because I just wanted to give you a general Idea of what I wanted to do with the Toon.

And you can slot Fury of the Gladiator: -Res if you have deep enough pockets. I agree with Kioshi though, I was never impressed with Rad on a Corr.
-
TJ is a great power it's just tough on end. I'm going to really get some mileage out of it in the late game.
-
Have they fixed Poison Trap? I'll have to check it out.
-
Sorry guys I had to work but I am working on my Stalker Solo to help contribute!
-
-
Julius I have a feeling that it was your guide I was reading from back then! Thanks guys for the feedback I thought it had a buff...same thing for Shadow Maul but JL Fires off half the time as Shadow Maul.
Thanks everyone for the info! -
Did I miss out on something? I swear when I first started playing COH Jacobs ladder was horrible...not only was the animation SUPER long but the range was far to short...I'm running around with my stalker and I picked Jacobs Ladder just as a filler until I can respec out of it later and I am pleasantly surprised! Not only is the animation super fast but the range seems to equal that of Shadow Maul and it fires twice as fast!
Was my perception off back then because I was a newbie or was there a change? To be honest I don't want to drop the power it's a keeper! It still deals tasty dmg as well like it always did. -
The name of my Elec/Ice Stalker is Offside.
-
You can only use it if there's a baddie. You do need an ally in range but I believe the range is pretty huge...I'm the worst when it comes to math in this game but I think the range is equal to you typical AOE so lets use RoF for instance. As long as the baddie is that far away from your downed teammate the Rez will work. Can someone else please swoop in and assist me LOL.
-
Elec/Dark or Rad/Dark Since both Primaries are very up close and personal. I also Rad/Fire...but as you can see I'm a blapper at heart heh....well except for Ice/ Blizzard makes me a happy man.
-
Chain Induction is one of my most favorite powers in this game.

The trial flows very nicely, and so long as everyone's listening, it can be done (non-master) on the quick at around 30 minutes. Badge-focused, factor in an hour. -
