I had a feeling that was what Talen was getting at. Yeah, the three that you mentioned only have a chance to fire on the initial cast but if you are using it every 4 seconds...yeah not to bad. the part that makes it even more crazy is with Ageless and Hasten you can get the Recharge of JC to 2.57 seconds.

Thank God Devastation-Chance to hold has a chance to fire for every time it jumps.

Believe Force Feedback does work AND fire...in fact I've had my butt saved thanks to Force Feedback. Decimation doesn't do to much...neither does EM but it gives you a few seconds and sometimes that's all you need.

The procs that have really changed things for me is FF and Devastation. No only does FF show a little icon when it fires but your power tray lights up when it fires as well.

Are you trying to say the 5 second 100% recharge duration is to short of a window to help with your toon's recharge?

You should! For instance in Jolting Chain you can slot...

    1.Devastation-chance to hold (15% for 8 seconds)
2.Decimation-chance of build up (5% chance for 5.25 seconds 68% damage buff to all)
    3.Energy Manipulator-chance to stun (mag 2 10% chance)
    4.Force Feedback-chance for +Recharge (10% chance for 100% recharge to all for 5 seconds)
    5.Entropic Chaos-10% chance for 5% heal.

All of these can be placed in Jolting chain along with a few other yummy procs but these 5 I think would be the most used. the Tempest and the Javelin Proc wouldn't help you much.

I use all of them except for the 5th one...now imagine a lot of these procs firing when you use Jolting chain...sounds great right? Now imagine the chances of them proc'ing once you spam JC every 3 to 4 seconds...Oh yeah and let me tell you they fire A LOT.
  4. I agree somewhat but I think I would shut my yap if we got another Assault Set.

  6. Ice feels and work completely different on a controller compared to a dom.
  7. One of my most favorite thing to do with Elec is slotting Jolting Chain. I fill that thing up with so many awesome Procs sometimes for me that one powers makes my Elec/ shine.
  8. I mainly took power boost b/c at post lvl 50 it extends the confuse on AA but I can understand skipping it. Of course my Elec/Ice Dom loves Power Boost.

It's just a matter of squeezing things in which is always the name of the game. Always.

Many people have missed the fixes to Venomous Gas and to defender's Chrono Shift, which are just a couple of recent items that we've discussed in the past. The guy is right on the ball and it's always the powers team vs time for such things.

I totally agree with you guys on Ice Control. That set has nearly zero synergy with itself and yet I don't know what could be done - I think removing the -kb from the aoe immobilize would be a step in the right direction and perhaps upping the chance for arctic air to confuse wouldn't be out of line at all. That could be it right there - although I don't know how to fix that ice slick breaks the sleep. Yeah that set is kind of a mess from CoH launch, come to think of it. We are kind of spoiled with sets that have greater synergy.

I do need to cool it a bit...I just had such high hopes for poison and I even took the time out to invest in a pvp IO but it's ok. I know that they are aware of the issue so I will be wait patiently .

Thank you guys for tirelessly answering our questions. We appreciate the blood, sweat and tears you guys/gals put in this game and the quality shows. We may give you a hard time sometimes but it's because we care! Also you keep spoiling us :P.

Elec/ Does have a really cool looking AS. I commend my fellow posters for acting civil. I for one am bouncing off the walls and can barely contain my excitement.

I know it's almost unusable in its current form on large teams, or especially leagues. I guess I think of it as more of a solo skill. It's one that I enjoy solo though.

So one thing the proposed change does is to allow me to take a "for fun" solo power without feeling like I'm gimping my teaming performance for doing so, since now it will be a worthwhile attack to use even on teams. I see that as an overall positive change.

Would I rather have something different? Probably, but most of the proposals I've seen that I liked were larger, more fundamental changes to the AT. I can't fault the devs for not wanting to go in that direction.

I do think Placate could use some help. For many sets it provides a marginal DPS increase, if any, which relegates its usefulness to mostly aggro management. Given its long recharge and single-target nature, it's not very worthwhile for that purpose. IMO what Placate needs to be relevant is a shorter cast time and shorter recharge. I think that change would contribute to Stalker damage in a way that would accentuate their unique playstyle and feel, rather than lessening it.
I agree. Also fixing Placate would be nice, it's still bugged. I also like the idea that someone else has mentioned, it should be a lot like Taunt.
  13. And it's like my post was completely invisible LMAO.
  14. Sorry Leo but I agree. Placate is crap .

I think Reppu is right (Did I just say that?!) :P.

The 3 hits for 100% on AF is not OP! How about we Compare the beta Stalker dmg with a Claws/Elec Brute with 70% Fury spamming Spin!

Put -kb in flash freeze so you can sleep mobs and not wake them up by them falling down on ice slick. Remove the -kb from the immobs so ice slick starts them flopping and the immobs keep them there. Jack could stand to be tougher. Maybe increase his defense numbers, or give him an ice patch power like blasters get.
O_O...wow...impressive suggestions and I admit I agree on EVERYTHING...well except for Shiver. I want Shiver to be like a weaker version of Cryonic Radial but w/o the damage and a bit less of hard control. So more like Cryonic mixed with Neurotoxic Breath.

  18. Ice/Ice is interesting...it seems the most I could possible do is build for Ranged Defense....that will not do because an Ice/Ice is VERY melee orianted...so with this toon I would focus more on Recharge so you can use "Offensive mez defense" lol.
  19. Now first let me tell you I have never leveled a Ice/Ice Dom to 50. I tried to about 2 years ago and I ended up just being frustrated due to Aggro and End problems. Fast forward to now I feel more experienced with Ice and /Ice. I have a lvl 50 Ice/Psi and a lvl 31 Elec/Ice Dom and I have played around in BETA quite a bit with Ice...so without further ado...

I love chilling embrace but I think for a Pre-50 Ice/Ice dom it's not really needed due to so many slows/-recharge embedded within your powers. Also Chilling Embrace drains a lot of end...and I personally would not run CE and AA until I took either Cardiac or Ageless. Please don't take this build seriously it's a very rough idea of what I would do for my Pre-50 build. I think an Ice/Ice dom's biggest issue would be inflicting dmg and dealing with aggro so for a ice/ice 50 I would go Spiritual and Ageless. I would want the most recharge as possible so you can push out Ice slick, Shiver and jump into Melee to keep AA and CE running while you Spam Ice Sword Circle.

I forgot to slot Power Boost with Recharge. I would have Power Boost on auto lol, I wish you could perma it. I've been obsessed with Regen and Recovery lately and I think with this toon the Recovery really helps, especially before the end game.

I tried to shoot for all the cheap Purples and also Lotg to make things more affordable for you.

I will post my Post 50 build when I get a chance.

    I hope this helps!

  21. Yes I think it most definitely gets "Spent"...but I could be wrong...I think if it remained as unspent...let's just say a few people would be switching AT's lol.
  22. Will /Poison Trap for the Poison set get looked at? Or could the power be replaced with the Traps version?
