One thing I forgot to ask is what made the dev to look at Gravity again? I am just curious. Is it because of Dark Control?

Hopefully they can look at Ice Control in the future. :P I think that set can use a little bit love.
I think they've hinted to maybe looking at Ice control in the future. I think Earth, Fire, Plant, Elec and Mind are fine as is.

I also just think the power feels/looks a lot cooler as "throwing enemies around with gravity" rather than "dropping enemies somewhere else with teleport", which keeps it much more in Gravity's kit. The scatter effect of the KB is easy to contain with environment if the player desires to contain it, and if they don't, the stun duration is long enough such that it's still a very effective control power.
*Sigh* Ok, I will try to like it...and keep an open mind but It's going to be tough for me to get use to using Dimension Shift. There's only a few things in this game that have high KB that I care for....and now you have a phase AND high kb....oof.

It's going to be interesting Arbiter trying to get all of us Old Schoolers to actually like Dimension Shift.

I'll cross my fingers about DS and WH being switched a year or two from now.
  4. Wow, how did I forget about the horrendous knockback? I guess it has been a few years since I have played a gravity toon. Teflon hit it right on the head. Reducing the Kb would make the power a complete MUST-have and it would make Gravity an amazing set once again w/o completely relying on your level 32 Pet to seem like you are contributing at all to the team or to your solo play. Reducing the mag would not overpower the set in anyway it would actually make Gravity a contender with other amazing controller primaries like Earth Control and Plant. I think for the Control primaries we need to pour on as much efficency and followthrough as possible...Much like the changes to Energy Aura and the birth of late great sets like StJ, Time Manipulation and Titan weapons.

I think as a dominator or controller I should be able to provide as much utility and efficiency as my fellow brute, scrapper, or tank team players.

    EDIT:
Oh, and my Level 50 Gravity/Kin does NOT use Wormhole once he get's singy unless I am playing a Cave mission and that's only if I'm in a hallway. I think that speaks volumes. Dimension Shift is a whole other animal but wormhole should be something you should be able to depend on from 26 to 53.

If that's the case I know of a little Todd who needs to call in because "feeling DREADFULLY sick" today! mwehehe.
  6. Excellent! Arbiter Hawk you know that we all are pretty much foaming at the mouth waiting to sink of teeth into the new changes right? haha

Thanks so much for the modification to Wormhole! I think it's time for me to make some fun mids builds!
  7. Lol Don't make it worse Black_Assassin it happens!

They still arent addressing the problem with Wormholes excessive and unnecessary knockback and the fact that I get the crap shot out of me because the stun is applied AFTER they go through the wormhole...

    Genuis...

No calculator by my side but I would say about 70-80% of your fury generated is coming from their attacks and not your own.
Thanks Ultimus, I already know how Fury works lol.

Oh! I didn't know that Hope! I didn't read it much when I slotted it. Hrmm.

I was able to reach 85% with the Proc unslotted...*sigh*

Its numerically impossible for the ATIO to have that effect if the game engine did what the designed behavior of fury implies.

As I always say, reality trumps calculations, but are you certain this is an apples to apples comparison between the same situation with and without the ATIO?
To be honest I can't say that it is...I am not sure what to make of it myself. I'm going to jump back on beta and see if I'm able to achieve 85% Fury without using Initial Strike. I agree with you as well actually. I have a feeling that the proc is not doing much at all and that Initial Strike is doing a heck of a job with fury generation.

EDIT: I'm stumped I was able to reach 85% Fury w/o Using Initial Strike! *Throws Papers in the air* well there goes my theories back to the drawing board I guess. The Proc is no good!

At 80 fury you generate .25 FPS if you were generating 1 attack PER SECOND. This is extremely high for a Brute and most sets cannot achieve this. Assuming this proc that would mean you would generate only .271 FPS. In order to get 85% fury you need to be generating .4475 fury per second.

This means you need a full group of mobs attacking you, and this proc does not effect incoming attacks only attacks made by you.

Essentially, it wasn't the proc that achieved what you did but the group of mobs attacking you which has no correlation to the proc.
I was wondering when anyone would actually read my post lol. It's been a bit over a week so I don't remember the specifics. I will jump on beta as soon as I can to give you more info.

EDIT: Now correct me if I'm wrong ok?

    Here's the Info

    Council Mission, -1/+8, StJ/SD Brute Level 50

I fully slotted Initial Strike with the entire Brute ATIO set. I spammed it as much as I could so I could try to trigger the proc. I also used other attacks while the power was recharging. My Recharge for Initial Strike is 1.53 seconds...hasten was running so that brings the recharge down to 1.13 and the cast time for Initial Strike is 0.8 seconds.

Sorry I'm not the best at math AND I'm not good at counting my attacks per second...well not with a Melee toon that is. Here's a pic also.

The proc helped me boost to 85% Fury...which still isn't much.
  20. It's almost like I'm dealing with Commando's clone from the Splain' Dominators thread.

You know what Recalx I can't. You got me...maybe because a Viscous Rikti Monkey that cons green to me can even survive and be of some use if it took Tough, Weave, Vengeance, Aid Self, and Rebirth.

Maybe I should go roll a Petless Mastermind or a Defender who has no secondary right now? Super useful eh?

You two are applying a PVP mentality to PVE..in this case it doesn't work.

EDIT: I've also stated in numerous threads why poison is behind and how it can be improved and HOW it compares to other sets just take a look in the corruptor and Mastermind threads to find me in every single poison thread since I started playing.

Two of the characters I'm using a lot these days are a Cold/Dark and a Dark/Poison - I've probably spent more on the Cold/Dark so far, and yet the Dark/Poison probably has better health and recharge thus far.
Oh Rikti, you know what I mean. Must we do this dance? You're Taking what I said and shaping it how you please. Any Set is Ok if I have Vengeance up, maneuvers running, and Rebirth Core Epiphany on perma.

If you're going to say a set is fine the way it is and jump in a discussion shouldn't you list and explain how and why it does not need to be changed?
