I hope so as well...maybe with more mechanics? Than just KB.

XD. I almost spilled over my soda! Shame on me for drinking near the computer!

Heat Loss also has a strong Kin vibe...hrmm.
  4. LOL, *sigh* Whatever New Dawn. I get it...I really do. You're the perfect player and we are all flawed compared to your greatness.

I'm glad that you have resorted to name calling now you're moving up!

Edit: I've tried to find the video you mention in http://www.ustream.tv/channel/paragon-studios
I found some videos of the Player Summit, and I watched the "pre-lunch" one, but I didn't find any information about those powersets.
I'm having a hard time finding it as well...hrmm, maybe the edited it out.

Well they didn't say anything about the new sets to be honest and the information wasn't supposed to be released until I23 but some players digged around in some pigg files and found all of the powersets and powers.

If you want to find more information on the new sets just type in "water blast city of heroes" in google and you will eventually find it...as well as the other new powersets.

I think that the devs knew that the powersets would be popular but I don't think that they took in consideration just HOW popular these sets will be... that someone would go out of their way and risk it all just to show other players these new sets.

  9. Well spamming roots on top of Tar patch should be just criminal ehehe. I also focused on regen since I decided to take Spirit Tree and of course Soul absorption. Seeds and fluffy keeps warwolves in tar patch as well as healing me and Fly Trap. Plus like others have stated plant can go with almost anything...a lot like Earth I think.

Tangent:I like to have fun in mids when I'm bored...what do you guys think about a Dark/Storm controller? I will focus mostly on -to hit debuff with FS and Hurricane.
  10. I thought that procs only worked in the power before it was lit but I'm no TA expert...sit tight and wait for the pros to arrive lol.
  11. I don't think we should consider the set from an incarnate point of view...I mean heck incarnate powers can even make an Empathy/Electric Defender look like a boss.

  13. I'm all for it.

We need to also consider the new/other players as well. The players who have yet to get a lvl 50 on every server, the players who don't know about the Global chat channel, the players who only work night shifts and can only play coh at 4 in the morning when all of their friends and a vast majority of players are asleep, the players who have ran out available server space and want to make new toons ect.

I think that they will either use global names or attach a number at the end of you name if there is a duplicate name on the team.

I don't see how Transferring a toon is less work than Cross server teaming. To transfer you have to move the toon over (sometimes it goes into queue and takes several minutes to transfer...imagine if a few thousand of us was doing this EACH DAY), Rename the toon participate in the team, Transfer back (wait for in queue again), Possibly have to rename the toon again and potentially lose your SG/VG membership. I guarantee you that this would anger the majority of coh players and this method is time consuming. Who would want to do this each week let alone a few times a day?

    Plant or Fire

Fire's biggest issue is mobs that are spread apart. This can be potentially devastating to a Fire Controller. I eat lucks and try to herd them to a spot before I use flashfire and cinders BUT! This doesn't always work and you will eventually run out of purples. Also you have to CONSTANTLY keep reapplying cages and GOD FORBID that you miss or forget to use cages...Bonfire, Tornado, LS will send them flying so make sure that you don't miss a beat. Fire/Storm is very active...reminds me of a /kin.

    Here's my mob combo.

Smoke, Flashfire, Cages, FR, Ice Storm, Cages, Bonfire, Cages, LS, Cinder, Cages, Tornado, FR, Thunderclap. Sometimes I click on hurricane for a second for a quick debuff. (I also have Hot Feet and Ageless running.)

I wished that I would of taken the Plant route because Fly Trap also throws out Roots and with SOC the mobs tend to bunch together which makes things easier. Also Carrion Creepers keeps things busy and it's great for dealing with Alphas.

Plant may not be as deadly as Fire at times but it's safer...so much safer especially for a guy like me who LOVES wind powers..so much that I have waterspout and tornado >_>.

I agree, I think that if there was a -KB proc or enhancement it would make a lot of ATs and Sets more popular like Peacebringers and Energy Blast.

I think that the damage in Lightning Storm needs to be brought up a bit so it can be as awesome like it was pre-pet nerf.

I also agree with Carnifax...Storm is powerful on paper but its very tough trying to use powers like Hurricane and Tornado without the immob -kb mitigation. Storm is amazing in the hands of a controller or mastermind but it's tough on a Defender on Corruptor. One has to really brainstorm (pun intended) a plan to debuff the mobs without flinging them across the universe.

Dark, Rad, Time are easy to use but Storm comes with a Name Tag baby, and that name tag says "My learning curve is ridiculous and discouraging to many...but if you stick around long enough and rip out enough hair you will find me to be very rewarding lawlz"

Nah the first vid covers all of the power except for Nature's Affinity. Nature's affinity works a lot like Elec Control + Time and Empathy combined with a little bit of storm and poison. Layered passive support with some strong support here and there and a few wild cards thrown in the mix.
  17. I would of asked Synapse instead...Arbiter Hawk is pretty Rigid about certain things. *looks around cautiously*.

    OMG so This.

I made the mistake and rolled a Fire/Storm years ago and man do I wish that it was a Plant/Storm instead .

As for Warmace, yeah, I wind up defaulting to the Fantasy Mace myself. The Carnival of Light ones could be interesting with a Carnie outfit...but yeah, a lack of decent models is a little depressing.

I played a WM/SD Scrapper and then conceptually turned her into a SS/WP Brute, but the short time I played Mace was outrageous.
Soldiers in general need a heal but like many others I just find a way to squeeze Aid Self in there.

I would love to reduce the KB in it though. I think that's the biggest thing that makes the set unattractive...for most. I wish there was a way to slot a -KB enhancement that turned kb powers into KD only.
  21. You don't have to run the New Mag Trial that much. The devs said that there's a bug in BETA right now that does not allow you to convert threads to the new IXP. So sit tight. All will be well .
  22. I would love to see some changes to storm but it's very unlikely. Oh god that would be so awesome!

I'd rather spend the animation time on a better control/dps.

I still really want to see an awesome flash freeze. That power has so much potential as a very quick, reliable aoe sleep. The animation, delay, and damage tick ruin it entirely... but this has been said already.
-Dmg in Shiver would work nicely. I understand what you are saying Knight but Shiver has a long animation and you have to cast it twice on a mob...and even then they can get off their attacks before the -Recharge really start to shine. It's not a good reliable alpha stopper like Ice slick but even against some foes like Warwolves Ice slick doesn't help with much and Glacier is a bit Risky.
  24. I think Ar is going to be something else after the Snipe fix.
  25. I've always felt that Repulsion bomb should deal more damage. Maybe double its base damage and cut the recharge in half?
