    Whip Powerset

I personally don't care either way but My fellow Dom players have been foaming at the mouth in anticipation for a Natural Dom Control and Assault set lol.

    Afterburner?

I love it! I just wish that we had more space...and now with the new Power Pool... *sigh*.

Off hand I couldn't tell you which one.
It was BaBs who said it. I remember it clearly.

During the summit the Devs asked for players to not choose whips or a new mm set as a "build your own powerset or whatever" option...which made everyone on U-Stream and the summit whine haha.

I would be happy with the current MM animations and a few other random powers to be honest.
  4. If I'm on a team with a Tank or Brute who's Heavy handed with Handclap I stand far FARRRRRR back. I can tell you of aggro accidentally spilling over next to my squishy self getting me killed before my Hold even fires.

I think they are ok for melee sets as long as they're not baked in the powers. I think that KB works with squishes but only during solo runs. I've also been taken out from mobs that were scattered across the globe. I've learn to run and take shelter when a KB lover is on the team....unless they're a pro. I've met some amazing Energy Blast, Storm (corrs/def), PBs in my time...but they are rare.

I guess that's one of the cool things about Dual Pistols . That's KB done right I think.

Oh and the closest that I have ever come to using a KB power on the regular was Wormhole.
  5. It's what turned me off to ninjitsu after all these years...that and /Ice is way more my style :3
  6. It's not as slow moving as TW though...well TW before momentum.
  7. Also no offense to the OP and the other poster but if you think that Plant is really weak then boy are you in for a suprise! haha

I agree Oathbound they took it was to far and Energy Assault is stand offish to most due to the KB. When will the Devs learn that KB is not widely liked in this game?

Hrmm, Kudos on the devs for thinking about that. I've seen fellow stormies with the Tripple hurricane threat and I was thinking to myself "man, I like the chaos of storm but 3 hurricanes?! That's Crazy!"

  11. Wow...hrmm...are you familiar with Ice and Elec Control? Is this your first Dom?

/Elec Assualt- sucks now sadly...or at least that's my opinion...it was pretty OP before the change.

    Tough choices!

I think Elec Control has more control if you consider the end game, AVs and hard targets in Trials...but Ice isn't to bad...hrmm.

    Have you tried a Plant/Fire or a Plant/Dark? lol

If I have to pick one from your list...I would say Elec/Earth.

Stone is slow though and the damage is mostly ST based for a while and for many the set is just difficult to work with (like thorns). I love both Thorns and Earth though.

Ice/Fire is a great pick but you have to learn how to utilize Ice's strength. /Fire works with almost any Primary.

The reason why I would pick Elec over Ice is because I like -Endmod more than -Recharge and -Endmod can really make a difference.
  12. Great Ideas in this thread! I think I only took Teleport on my Arch/Nrg Blaster because Boost Range + Teleport is Coconuts.

XD, in Option 2 he's only wearing a Headcover/cape and skull underwear! That's normal every male dresses like that in public! Megaman forbid a lady wears something that hugs her curves and shows stomach! :O
  14. I actually prefer /Thorns more than Spines/. Spines is VERY painful to level due to the lack of decent ST...unless you roll a stalker.

Both are super stupid powerful. I would roll both to be honest. Thorns is like heaven for Proc people! I love throwing the AH proc and the Neg Lady Gray proc in there for good measure on my Dominator and throwing as many procs as I can into Thorntrops. I think /thorns flows better than Spines but both are sexy!
  15. What about Shadow hunter? He's barely dressed and sexed up as well. I guess if you are attracted to one particular sex you cannot "see" certain things when it comes to your own sex.

    Plant or Fire

I agree about mobs being spread out. Also thanks Oed for the Snow Storm trick...I haven't played my stormie in so long that I forgot about that tride and true Snow Storm pull. It works with almost anything except for those annoying Warwolves grrr.
  17. I randomly saw a commercial for it one night...I think it was during Impact wrestling or something.

We don't know what that is, but presumably it will be a means other than being a T9 VIP.
This. The devs in a roundabout way asked about this...they hinted toward the fact that maybe some of the Tier 9 stuff will be available to everyone.

Casting is always a bit of a calculated risk.

But then there are those Controllers and Dominators...

Let's set up the scene: there's me dancing on an Ice Slick surrounded by a bunch of +4s. I am a level 51 perma-Dom with a 2 billion influence build. In behind me lumbers the level 27 Fire Controller who got the mercy spot on the team. She uses her signature move: Fire Cages with a side of Hot Feet sans Flashfire. Apparantly it hadn't occured to her that the Ice Slick was for her benefit and not mine, or that I am just the sort of Ice Dominator who is okay with letting her die if it means I can not die too.

So the thing is I am okay with other Controllers and Doms who immobilize and can handle what results. Some people just spam the immob because it recharges quickly though, and don't really watch to see what their teammates are doing. In particular, I've been more or less soloing groups and had someone jump in behind me and start immobing everything. (The worst offenders, for some reason, are often Earth Controllers, which I really can't explain). This often leads to me running off to the next group and leaving them to fate. If they can handle it, thats fine, if they can't that's fine too because at least they are out of my way.
This. Oh so much this. WHAT is with the Earth controllers and their group immob?! I asked one player and he responded with..."I'm lazy" Really now?

I agree with the melee people (It's going to snow) sometimes it's ok to wait until the mob is bunched up. A lot of the control sets get in trouble when the mob is spread out...unless you are playing Earth, Illusion or Plant Control.

My all time favorite empowerments are the Increase Attack Rate (20% recharge boost), Grant Invisibility (the name is misleading as it gives you stealth rather than allowing you to stealth team mates), and Knockback Protection (in the early levels before acrobatics is available or for when you need to put off taking it for a while).

The best part is that they last for an hour
You can only craft these in a Base no?

    However...

It will also un-auto any auto powers you may have. Had Hasten on auto-fire? Not any more.

Nowadays, to drop out of combat stance, I just hit Esc twice. I don't use auto-fire powers much, but when I do, I want them to stay auto-fire, like mez protection on my Shield/SR toons.
Oh wow...I've been owned so many times because I wad an idjit and clicked the wrong button! This is awesome!
