I think I have slipped up 3 times in my 4 years of playing. Giving 1,000,000 inf to some happy soul in exchange for a Kinetic Weapon Salvage piece *facepalm*. Or accidentally selling a Purple apoc proc for only 10 million! oops!

This is a dilema.. I have Dominators and Corruptors that I love. My Crab Spider does sick AoE. I have yet to make a Fortuna but looking into it..
However I have to say that I love the "purity" of blaster. Nothing satisfies me as well as a well played blaster. Its the challenge.. Its beating the odds.. Dominator.. I mez.. then I destroy... Corruptor... I debuff then I destroy..
Blaster.. I identify targets.. take them down strategically.. I attack through the tank... I move.. I hover to stay out of melee.. I move to break line of sight..
I guess its because I am doing more.. I enjoy them more..
but the AT needs help badly.. -

Not the answer I expected BUT I like your answer! You do acknowledge the AT's weakness and strenghts instead of blindly saying..."blasters are the number 1 for damage and that alone makes for all shortcomings!"
This is a reply to Electric Knight and the others who answered my question... I feel that currently blasters don't have enough edge to make them more desirable than a Corr or a Dom.
Why Play a blaster for just the thrill and the damage when you can get the same results damage wise and thrill wise with a Corruptor, Dominator or SoA?
I love Blasters as well (Especially Rad/Fire Blasters!) but currently I have several Doms who can give them a run for their money damage wise and mitigation wise and don't even get me started on a Crab SoA, Widow SoA or Fire/Time/Soul corr! -
Another_Fan can you explain to me why I would want to roll a Blaster rather than a Dominator or corruptor?

You have cheated yourself of an additional 17% + of smash lethal resistance and nearly 6% def to everything. Replacing those with set bonuses is a pretty tall order.
Looking at WP that takes your smash lethal resistance from around 50% to 30% which is a real gutshot to survivability.
On energy aura it looks even worse.
Heck, without the fighting pool a lvl 50 scrapper, brute, tanker, stalker can still take on a mob at +2/+8 without extra pool powers or inspirations thanks to armors that protect them from Mez and KB/KD, Self heals/self regen/self absorb, Def and res baked into armor powers for protection, Self Rezes and God Modes like Elude, Overload, Power Surge that not only briefly covers their protection needs but also their endurance needs.
A blaster has to not only take their primary and secondary but other additional powers just to make them on par with other ATs. That sacrifice is not worth the outcome...especially when I have Defenders, Stalkers, Scrappers, Dominators ect that can dish out just as much damage but with little sacrifice and have a ton more safety at their disposal.
A blaster can still solo just like any other AT but why would you want to play one when your lvl 50 Scrapper with no IO's, or incarnate powers can complete a mish of +1/+8 council in 20-30 minutes compared to your non-incarnate lvl 50 blaster with inspirations, a ton of pool powers who takes almost double that amount of time to finish a mission?
A Blasters Sacrifice does not equal their gain...or tradeoff.

My WP, Elec Armor, Energy Aura Brute gets along just fine without the fighting pool.

Who knows? Maybe not? Fire needs the Control/Mitigation. I have yet to be able to get the KB IO and you're not allowed to convert it : /.

I've been kicked for having a KB Toon quite a bit about 2 years ago.
My Stalker faced the most punishment though I clearly remember seeing this in Team Chat during an ITF.
"Eww A Stalker. Throw it Back." *kicked* I remember staring at the monitor for 5 minutes in disbelief lol. So lets just say I was beyond a little excited when the stalker changes hit lol. -
I just hope it's not someone who is expected to be gay. So no Batman, Robin, Wonderwoman ect. I hope it's the Flash heh. I love me some Flash!

I think he's referring to Clarion ? Either way you don't get that perma until lvl 50+.
Oh and it's hard to hit the defense softcap until lvl 36? Once you're able to slot Scorpion shield. -
So let me get this straight. I need to build my blaster around the Medicine Pool, Leaping Pool, Fighting pool and Clarion Only as my Destiny pick...so let's see that's 8 power picks I lost just to be able to play my Blaster efficiently.
Loosing 8 Levels, only able to Clarion for my Destiny choice, waiting to level 53 before I'm on par with every other AT Damage output wise...sure seems like a lot to sacrifice to properly enjoy the AT. -
