Quote:Thanks Chad I love you too lol. It's pancakes like this that started the whole "why don't we have staff fighting yet" rage threads.
But at least now we know where to send the Goon Squad when people start complaining they don't have Water Blast yet.
You are right though. I've just been bored of the game lately and the new sets and content would be just what I need to keep playing.
I think that I'll just give COH a break and play my PS3 until the new sets drop. -

WTF sounds way more cool. I love typing it out in Upper Case Size 7 font lol.
Also yay! This means that I can get my bending on baby!
I know it's not going to look that awesome but I can dream! -

Quote:I don't know Foot Stomp looked pretty awesome to me when I started playing 4 years ago. I had no idea that it was the best Melee Set out there I just thought that it look and felt really Powerful.I always thought it was just the performance that attracts people to it, but the actual mechanics (IE: Rage crash) are what puts people (Like me) off.
I also don't think "Enough people like it so we won't mess with it" is a good enough reason to leave a clearly unbalanced set in the game. Unless of course they are happy to admit that people love it because of how powerful it is and base other sets off that benchmark (Since clearly fun is the aim of the game). -
*Sigh* I guess the Zombie Takeover is happening...Why now? Just when I trying to get back to school and finish college...can the zombies please hold off for a few more years please?

Quote:I see where you are going with this and it's been brought up before and it's an awesome Idea but it would actually be under-performing in means of protection. Critters automatically move into melee anyway once they fire off their Alpha shots. Also Blasters don't come equipped with AOE group immob so in maps like caves or cot a blaster's -Range power would be useless.Would a -range mechanic work? Or would that be too overpowered? Basically, when a blaster attacks a Mob, it reduces its range. Forcing it to move closer to be a able to attack. Therefore if the blaster keeps enough distance it could reduce a large amount of incoming attacks, either mez or damage.Obviously, certain Mobs (AVs and GMs) would need some kind of resistance to this. Just an idea.
The only time when -Range would be useful is if you had a way of AOE Sniping them ...the debuff needs to be a lot like Flash Arrow because you don't want to alert them before you get the first attack off. -

Well Of course she's the clearest lol. She made an entire thread discussing the Data that the Devs shared about the Popularity of all the ATs.
It's in her Sig.

Batman and Superman give off a Super Top Vibe...pun intended. Hal Jordan does as well lol.

Quote:Defenders have SO many Tools to keep them from getting mezzed that it's not even funny. I'm talking about powers that keep them safe as well as toggles like Dispersion Bubble that adds layered safety against Mezz.No other AT has mez protection/resistance that is free. None. Every resistance power comes in the form of a power that must be activated, either as a click power or a toggle. Even the other fellow squishy ATs follow this rule. It seems to be one of the few hard rules the devs have in regards to powers.
Granting only certain sets mez protection makes complete sense. For instance, as has been mentioned, there are only 4 primaries for Defenders (Force Field, Sonic Resonance, Traps and Radiation) that offer some kind of self mez protection/resistance. I think it's safe to say that 3 of those 4 are some of the least played Defender primaries. It's no different for Corruptors, Controllers or Master Minds. So, what makes you think that it would be different for Blasters? If mez resistance were added to Cloaking Device for instance, do you really think people would suddenly be clamoring to play Devices Blasters over everything else? If mez resistance were added to 4 of the 7 Blaster secondaries in which it made the most thematic sense, what makes you believe that people would just stop playing the other 3 sets, based on how other ATs have fared in the same position?
If Blasters are granted mez resistance as a free inherent power that requires no activation and no endurance cost, why not do the same for every other AT? At that point, why even have mez?
Dark/, Storm/, Traps/, Force Field/, Radiation Emission/, Time/ and sometimes TA (lol) all have ways of significantly reducing or stopping incoming Mez on a LARGE SCALE. What blaster secondary can do this? What's the point of playing an Archery/MM Blaster when my Archery/Dark Corr can fight a mob that's twice the Blaster's size and level and live to tell the tale!
I'm not asking for Blasters to become Corrs I'm just saying that there's not enough incentive to Play a Blaster over the other Squishy ATs. The AT needs a little help and we all know it.
I'm waiting for someone to say that Dominators and Stalkers were just fine before their improvements oy lol. -
T-Dogg is a joke...a fluke lol. He's just there to keep the suspense up because we all know that he should of been dead by now according to horror movie law :P
I am SO going to get a super soaker with Holy Water and Lemon juice :P. -
Even the other fellow squishy AT's have ways of stopping or greatly reducing incoming Mezz (there are exceptions like Team buff sets that are not meant for solo play anyway). Blasters for the most part do not UNLESS they find a way to free up their build and take 2-4 power pools to make up for the loss.
Granting Mezz protection to only certain secondaries or primaries makes no sense at all. Why would you play any other set besides the set that grants mezz protection/resistance? -
Quote:Sounds like the Ol' South Park the movie play! :Pawwwww, come on, we can call you Tater "token" Todd.
actually, i've always wanted to test that theory, by screwing with the monsters/bad guys, i say we get 5 or 6 black guys, baddies will have no idea who to kill first, all the good guys escape while the baddies wander around confused or argue over who gets it first. it's a good plan!
I agree though I always wanted to test that theory as well. Maybe if you get a black guy who is immune and also gifted with high regeneration lol. The perfect Tanker!
What about vinegar or lemon juice super soakers? Getting Lemon Juice on an cut is BRUTAL and zombies have plenty of open wounds no? It might backfire though...I might as well Taunt them by wearing a Steak Necklace. -
Thanks for the update. Well it's a good thing that I've been working out and sparring. Let me know if you guys want me to tag along but I will warn you I will not be the hero...I've seen plenty of horror movies and I very well know that Zombies find Dark meat to be very tasty. *BURP*

You can't even do that on x8 with a lvl 50 Fire/Fire Blaster.

Speaking of zombie check THIS story out *shudder*

Because deep down you know that they should just make a new character that is gay...but instead they took the easy way out.

A lot of the Blaster secondaries are pretty bad. They don't offer enough mitigation or protection for you to feel confident when you jump into melee.
I think there's only a few Blaster Secondaries that actually mix well with the AT or the Primary of Blasters. -

A healing set that gives you absorb changes the support ball game. Not only are you getting teh healz you are also getting "HP Mitigation" so a healing support toon can now prevent and patch incoming damage.
