Okay, so if I, a non-beer/ale, etc. drinker, were to ask... what would you recommend for me to try? I'm a mixed drinks kinda gal (rum+, vodka+, tequila+ typically), but come from a family of beer-drinkers and have always wanted to try something new without having it turn me off the entire subset of alcohol.
Recommendations in PM welcome, if anyone thinks that is way off-topic or inappropriate for age. -

I've got Memingwa up to lvl 4 and stuck her in a reserve branch of HoJ for the moment. If we do set up or are part of another sg, I can move her that first session.
Memingwa means butterfly in Objibwe, so I had to outfit her with some monarch butterfly wings as well. -

My only concern for the weekends is if I want to eat; there is only one dining hall open on Saturday and Sunday, and they only have two meals per day. Brunch 11-1 CST, and Dinner 4:30-7. Typically, because I get up really early to do my reading every morning, I go at the opening times.
So really, anything that would finish before 4:30 CST or start after 5 CST would be great. Because occasionally I get hungry and my only alternative would be junk food from the campus convenience store (and I'm trying to stick to a diet.) -

I know that I certainly have a hard time forgetting when someone gives me incorrect information to a question, or begs for a team to form and then quits the moment it gets tricky. But I also know that sometimes when I post my words don't clearly show my actual intent or feelings, and I'm sure that I look like an idiot on a regular basis when (arguably) it isn't really the case.
(And to paraphrase Wes Janson- you can't look dignified when you're having fun.) -

For a Saturday afternoon team, I could get behind it. Already have a Hammer team Fridays at 9PM CST though. I've gone the Static route this semester just so I can schedule around class obligations, and would want more info on exact time/day before I could commit.

Thanks for the offer Felecia... but this was a discussion focused primarily on specific static teams and you are not a member of any of them as far as I can recall. We weren't asking for someone to swoop in to offer to "save us"; most of us have been on raids and are big girls and boys- we can figure out how to do it without AOW's involvement.
Even if we did want outside help on something like a raid, I'm pretty sure we'd ask someone from one of our own SG's that run raids all the time instead.
After all, we've managed to make it to 50 on our toons without outsiders rescuing us from ourselves and most of us have years of play experience to help the entire team as needed. -
I missed the raid tonight because I decided to be a good student and do my reading for Human Rights. But... like I said in the Static thread- HoJ did a raid last Saturday and it was without any lag for me (and I am usually one of the first victims). We only had two teams and did two raids, so how many teams are we looking at for Static (considering HK and B aren't full teams)? If we don't max out the zone maybe it won't be so bad?

I'll agree with the majority; I think that a lot of us never really get to know how good our fellow players really are though.
I know I used to play with the same people in Coven of Witches and FUSION all the time, and now I mostly play with the Hammers, static teams or join task forces thrown together through BMT. So, mostly with the same people even if on different toons. I don't make it onto those lists that were circulating a while back; and there are a bunch of people I'd love to team with some day still. I still get like "omg, I'm on a team with Amy!" at raids, lol.
I think that can affect our view on who is a good player. When we play with the same people a lot we learn their playstyle, they learn ours, the team meshes after a while because we can anticipate a little more than any old pug team off the means streets of KR. -
