  1. The mastermind forum was also pretty chuckleworthy.

'Poison is only good enough to solo AVs.'
  2. It's funnier when you check the scrapper forums. Their 'issue list' is almost entirely wishlist items like 'It'd be nice if Dark Armour had knockback protection. And can Willpower's icons be bluer?'
  3. I believe I'm going to collect on a bet now.
  4. My big problem right now is that I think we're all holding our breath waiting to see what kind of direction the future changes are going to take. If Castle turns up and says 'Powerboost is now Power Build Up, and Electrical melee should deal half the damage it does!' we're going to have different things to talk about.

Right now, it seems the identity and the role of the dominator are under review. And I'm very worried about what that means, especially if all that happens is a HP buff and some minor tweaks.
  5. I read that as 'outrage' and my immediate reaction was Come on, that's a bit stiff, isn't it?

Also, what's next? Stamina at level 6 for the 72 month? Without having to take health and swift or hurdle

    [/ QUOTE ]

I call “Straw man” on this one.

[/ QUOTE ]That's slippery slope. Learn yer fallacies. Not everything is a straw man.

[/ QUOTE ]Even sillier to me, considering I went without Stamina for a week on my Warshade, then specced it back in because I missed the effects of Hurdle and Health and well I've got those powers I might as well...
  7. It missing for anyone else? It's been inaccessable for me for about fourteen hours.
  8. Just looking at that link sends my SHiP sense off.
  9. Robotech and Teknoman were my starting pair, yeah.

Peter Cullen has voiced Optimus Prime in both Transformers movies, so you can understand my confusion when you're referring to Don LaFontaine.

It's also rumored that in the upcoming Transformers 2, Judd Nelson will again do the voice of Hot Rod.

[/ QUOTE ]Which goes to show as far as being a teen star of the 80s whose job it was to live fast and die on a pile of cocaine that Edmund Hillary couldn't have scaled goes, Judd Nelson was a failure.
  11. If you were young enough that Armada was your 'kid' series, I get to officially tell you to get the hell off my lawn now.
  12. Well, you get what you get for watching crappy TV.
  13. I've never seen an episode of RiD, it didn't make it over here. I own Beast Machines on DVD (a lucky buy at a sale from my wife - I'd not seen it, but once I did, I really enjoyed it). I also have all of Transformers Animated, which is a Transformers series written by gigantic transformers nerds, so it's full of in-jokes and references, and focuses on a small, interesting, evocative cast (just like Beast Wars did) rather than trying to inflate the Buy All Our Playsets And Toys feel of things by making every episode feature 2-3 new transformers you would need a guidebook to sort out.
  14. That would be Transformers Armada, which was a decent series that was cursed by coming on the coattails of an awesome series. It was then followed up with Superlink, which was balls. Fortunately, Transformers Animated is brilliant.
  15. Peter Cullen did the Optimus Prime voice in the original saturday morning cartoon, too.

I thought that dude was dead. The 'Optimus prime' voice guy.

    [/ QUOTE ]

He did, but there's others who can do a close immitation, which I'm sure is what they'll do for all the movie previews now that use that voice.

[/ QUOTE ]Forgive me for clarifying needlessly in a thread so strong and so pretty, but Optimus Prime's voice is very much alive.
  18. "Thank you, Werian. You have warmed the heart of this old man who had almost given up hope."

    Yeah, that's cooperative content, right?
  19. You might want to bear in mind which dwarf you're talking about. I am honestly worried that black dwarf is going to get nerfed.

Did you HAVE to run it through the photoshop filter?

[/ QUOTE ]How else do you expect him to make his skirt appropriately sparkly?
  21. The animation is the same, the root time is the same, the durations are almost the same... Pulsar is what Flash would be nerfed to if it was good enough to merit it.
  22. Pulsar is a lot like Flash. I mean, if Mr and Mrs Pulsar were talking about how miraculous their little bundle of joy was, I'd be checking to see what Mr Flash was doing a few months earlier.

CP and group energy flight really give me the impression the devs were like "huh, let's just throw this crap in there because we don't know what else to fill the powerset with."

    [/ QUOTE ]

That's how I've always viewed the design of Peacebringers.

Warshades at least feel unique among the archetypes. PBs feel slapped together with no real effort at all.

[/ QUOTE ]Is there a single PB power that isn't a very close clone of another powerset's power? I'm trying to think of one. I mean, Solar Flare isn't quite the same as Foot Stomp, because it has a higher magnitude.
  24. The Peacebringer does feel like it was designed first... and therefore has the crappy boring versions of the powers.
  25. Psy - don't get too worked up about it. Orbiting and Inky's interaction is pretty obviously a bug and will be addressed in time as all bugs are.
