  1. My vote is on the addition of snow (or at least ice covered zones ala the frostfire mission) and the killer snowmen.
  2. The changes are currently on the test centre, the enemies which are level 30+ have seen a dramatic increase to both their HP and the damage they can cause. I'd say its an increase of around 50% more damage and around 75% more health. The exp has also increased from typically around 160 for a level 33 white con to around 230 now for the same enemy.

Does this negatively impact the controllers soloing? Yes, however the AT was never intended to solo very well so nothing has really changed beyond the original design brief.
  3. The only reason that Faultline is barren is like someone else said, its horrible to navigate. Its easy to get lost in, there is no room to avoid enemies in the canyons and when you go in by any depth you simply cannot get out without flight or fighting your way back. The enemies also spawn so close together in the canyons that any form of retreat usually leads you into another group.
  4. Alien is the origin, as normal. The Peacebringer or Warshade is simply the AT itself. They define how they are played. Statesman said that their endurance is based on their team, thus its simple to conclude that the Peacebringers (who belive in voluntary merging) draw endurance from their team and thus are team based. The Warshade (who belive in taking over bodies) would naturally draw their endurance from everyone thus making them good for soloing.

The difference is how they are used, I understand how you dislike how these ATs aren't generically titled but don't assume that this means you have your hero pigeon holed into a role. Just because you have a Warbringer AT doesn't mean you HAVE to be a certain way. Just as you don't HAVE to be a Keldarian at all.

Besides, you're not supposed to be stealing copyrighted ideas for your characters. Its against the EULA infact.

Here's some food for thought though for the rest of you. Does it means you have an evil character if they're a Warshade? Not really. Consider for a moment there are two sides to this story, perhaps the warshades are a breed of Keldarian who need to merge with a body to survive, simple morality then conflicts with the Peacebringers who don't think merging of any kind is right. They naturally don't need to merge or accept that they'll die if they don't.

Is is wrong to want to live? Its indeed a grey line so just because you're a warshade doesn't mean you're an Anti-hero or a villain... maybe you just didn't want to die.
  5. One problem with those ideas of likening origins to goals for the villains. When it comes to the freakshow faction they are technology based however they have little or no interest in money. Above all else they're interested in causing Chaos. Which as your post states is clearly opposed to the Money one which you branded under Technology.

Drawing lines like that simply doesn't work.
  6. Its perfectly possible to go through it with 2 healers (who keep the reactor topped up), a blaster and 2 scrappers all of whom in the level 27-30 range. The issue with this trial is basically organisation.

Don't focus on killing everything, just focus on drawing aggro away from the reactor and then being able to handle it. You CANNOT do this without tankers or scrappers who can sustain signifcant damage. Yes, its a hard trial. Damn hard. And infact I'd say the reactor raid is a little too long to be fun, it should be shortened by around 4 waves and just reach its creshendo sooner.

As statesman said, of everyone who has attempted the trial roughly 25% have failed due to the reactor blowing up. That is a very low figure considering how much fuss some people make over it. Sure a character can be gimped, but a whole team cannot and certainly not to the extent to make it impossible.
  7. I'd settle for a compromise of $7 for having a CoV account to be honest. It is afterall going to be running on additional servers, need additional technitians and employees so the cost of the expansion sales alone won't cover it. However having the full price of $15 is a bit excessive ontop of the existing $15.

    Villain Emotes

The 'Bow before me!' emote. Sorta like pointing at someone and then pointing down to command them to their knees.
  9. Controllers aren't supposed to be able to solo, you keep forgetting that. You need to group for all your missions, thats just the way it is.
  10. Ahh, the classic case of denial for people with a split personality. Didn't Bruce Banner have a similar opinion at first, I certainly know that the Hulk refused to accept he was Banner for a long time.
  11. Yes some Ats are forced to gorup, these are controller and defender. They can operate in a solo situation but it becomes very difficult. The solo ATs are tankers, scrappers and blasters with the last two being better designed for it. So no they aren't forcing you to play in groups, you simply need to realise that some Ats aren't designed to do that with much degree of success.
  12. There is really only so many non-combat things that heroes are known to do in comics, they are:

    (1) Design inventions to aid themselves and others in crimefighting (ie. temp powers)
    (2) Solve mysteries by collecting evidence and clues to formulate a solution (ie. multiple choice discussions and travelling)
(3)Negotiations to conflicts by mediating between groups (ie. averting gang wars through politics and threats)

But in the end there is really only a very short list of non-combat things which a fulltime superhero can do and is viable in the game.
