Gratz Hammers!! I was away from the internet last weekend but looking forward to all the coming events and the opportunity to celebrate such an awesome SG!!

Hurricane:
Quote:We once convinced a friend who was new to Storm Summoning to follow Critical Kat (who was on a melee toon at the time) with his Hurricane on. Hysterical! This is something I could dedicate an entire How to Not Be Awful section to. But basically, the golden rule is this: be gentle, lover.
Another fun tactic is to put Gale on auto and target through your favorite scrapper! (Plz, be sure the scrapper does not have the star before attempting this one....) -

I'm all for expanding the Shadow Shard and making it a co-op zone. Whether it being linked to the Incarnate system or expanding the content, I hope they make it happen.
After playing Redside for the majority of the past six months and going back to leveling a Blueside toon, it's pretty evident that there are not many opportunities Redside to make a lot of merits from SF's.
From your lips, Coby to the Dev's ears..... Hoping.

I am soooo looking forward to the end-game material. That has long been a criticism of CoX that it lacked end-game content. Very nice.

Quote:Fantastic job on the Redside Hami Llewthor and all other raid leaders!! I will definitely be available to help run these either weekly or semi-weekly Saturday evenings. Champion is the place to be for Hami! Thanks to everyone who came out tonight for another successful Villain Hami Raid! Great job to everyone.
I'm debating holding one of these more often, with the possibilities being either every Saturday night or alternating Saturday nights.
I'd love to hear what everyone thinks about this.
Thanks.
-Llew.
Special thanks to the Hami Taunt team:
Me & Fiery Enforce (Hami Taunt brutes)
Volcanic Storm (Pain MM)
Amygdala & Silas (Pain Corrs.)--Perma Pain Bringer... oooh hurt me!!
Kendo (Kin Corr.)
The support was superb and the taunting brutes' health hardly budged one bit as a result.

Quote:True that. Leave /Pain as a secondary for a later corruptor when you have a steady influx of people to team with. Fire/Rad or Fire/Dark Miasma is the way to go. My first Corr. was a Fire/Rad. Plan to have many more corruptors. It is, as you say, very team oriented. It's great for teams, but only 2 of the powers help you soloing which can be a drag.
I'd say go with something more general like /Dark or /Rad, then if you want a more supporty corr go with /pain.
You mentioned Dark as a primary. I wouldn't choose Dark Blast as a primary for your first corruptor. It's not as rewarding as Fire (but what is?), and it takes some skill to make it viable. Save Dark blast as a primary for something later down the road when you get bored with the other awesome primaries. -
Happy Belated Birthday TA!! And many more!

Quote:True that. I have a level 50 Earth/Cold troller where there are too many great powers to choose from. In the end I had to choose from Quicksand and Earthquake. Quicksand got the boot since the -def was being duplicated in other powers and I could slot for -ToHit and -Def in Earthquake (Achilles -Res proc). I felt since there was already a good amount of -Def with Earth and Cold combined, it seemd like the -ToHit was more important. But that decision was made on my play style. Ymmv.Would it be nice to allow some more options for procs or other slotting... to be honest I rarely have quicksand as a power past lvl 20 or so.
After you have a character slotted, how much -Def is really needed? There are so few times that I have anything less than a 95% chance to hit, it just doesn't seem worth it for a slow patch. I miss Ice's -Slow when I play an Earth troller.
But like it was said previously, it sure is nice to come across a good power that requires minimal slotting. -

Don't forget the EoE hunt this Friday at 8 p.m. Eastern at Monster Island (accessible through Grandville north). If we get enough people right at the beginning, it shouldn't take long at all. I think we were there a little less than an hour last time.

Quote:Didn't there used to be other "moving things" on female toons that had to be removed to get the "teen" rating or something?Well, yes....
Many people have begged for this . . .
Loudly
For a long time.
(also some people have begged for moving hair.)
As for your comment about moving things there, . . .
We currently have immobile stick-like things in that spot.
Yes, people are going to like this.
You will not be required to wear these.
There are many popular costume pieces I would never wear.
But yes, it is going to be a popular addition.

Will the effects of Benumb from a cold diminish the effects of taunt?
-
I hear that! I learned my lesson a long time ago. If I want to guarantee myself a spot, I come a little early.

Earth/Cold for the ultimate support! Great buffs, and incredible debuffs make it a team favorite. Currently working on a PvP build for my Earth/Cold troller. Like some trollers, it doesn't really blossom damage-wise until later levels. Pair it with the Stone epic and you will be fighting in the middle of mobs and stealing kill shots from your Poo-Man!
Have fun. -
Quote:Agreed. For the smoothest first-time bruting experience, your choice of primary among the ones already mentioned is largely irrelevant (except if you don't like redraw and pick a clicky secondary, or would like AoE powers before 32), while WP is definitively the most "user friendly" secondary and quite good for soloing at x8 too.
Willpower is easy-mode for a first-time Brute. It's great out of the box and will pair up nicely with most any primary. Although common, SS/WP is a good choice for a first-time bruter and makes for a nice farm toon too.
Have fun, and SMASH!!!

Champion: Home of the fast Sunday evening Hami!
I hear Llewthor is going to be leading semi-weekly Redside Hami raids too... -
