Quote:Oh, that too! I talked about it in the Suggestions section, .46/sec is what they have for Super Speed, and it isn't as fast as it nor is it available for slotting! Ridiculous to have that kind of endurance cost for a power we have to buy! This
I want to keep the NR animations at all times without the end cost
NR without the end cost or NR with slotting availability.
...
...
Please. -
If they do ever port Illusion Control to Dominators, I wouldn't mind having a Illusion/Water Assault toon.
The concept is: 'That's right...You only THINK you're drowning.' -
NR fits perfectly with Stalkers, and I don't know what you guys hate, but the animations are great, especially if your character has weapon-based power sets. By far, the best travel animations in the game, IMO. Super Speed looks so damn plain, doesn't even feel like you're actually moving at super speeds. Maybe if they added the shadow effect like in Dual Pistols, it might look cooler.
As for SJ, maybe a idle crouched position might make more sense, as in having a character that is always ready for the next leap everytime he/she lands.
Hmmm..... -
Hehe...Spines finally gets a secondary set it feels thematically comfortable with...
-
AS is always the choice for opening an attack (Lightning Rod is an exception), simply because it doesn't do double, but triple damage from hide compared to every other attack.
Best Epic Power pool for crits comes from Blaze Mastery. Everything else is just...meh. -
Quote:In my case at Defiant, Scrappers are still being made for Staff Fighting, and I've rarely seen any Stalkers. Apparently, not a lot of people enjoy the Stalker playstyle, regardless of the recent buffs and whatnot. This is an older thread but I've been playing with my Staff/Elec a lot and I just love it so much! I've teamed with 2 other Staff Stalkers and one time, I was leading a team of 3 Stalkers (two staff, one claw). It was so fun to start the fight with that much burst damage. That truly feels like a group of assassins, sneaking in and taking out targets so quick! One of the missions is a +2 elite boss with that big ugly Wailer Lord. He went down soooo fast with 3 stalkers gangbanging him. lol
How do I fight with my Stalker? It's all about that Orange Ring around Assassin Strike man. That is just like Fury for Stalker. I just want to keep attacking and unleash that massive damage.
I've seen a lot more Stalkers asking for teams now. I think the buff has a positive effect on the Stalker population. What do you guys think? Have you seen more stalkers? Have you converted more people to play stalkers? I've converted two so far who did not like stalkers.
I do dream of playing in a 4-man Stalker team though....Finish an Elite Boss in just 4 Assassin's Strikes. Damn... -
Hmm, I do miss the bonus defense from the PBAoE sets...Guess I'll have to keep it...Thanks for your output, guys.
Bye bye, Soul Storm. -
Right now, my StJ/Nin Stalker is following, or trying to follow the same pattern of attacks as my KM/Nin Stalker. I'm trying to see if I can setup Shin Breaker to follow Initial Strike and Heavy Blow, because I dropped Sweeping Cross.
Is Sweeping Cross something to drop, or keep? I won't be able to slot good enchancements on Spinning Strike, and I feel I could use the PBAoE enchancements for Sweeping Cross to get more defense, but I barely get a good multi-hit with it! At most, 2 enemies if I'm lucky.
Is Sweeping Cross worth keeping or not? -
I always pondered on the usefulness of Kuji-In Retsu when you softcap your defense. Is it worth keeping at level 50?
-
I always pictured SS as more of a forceful, power jump, covering distances in short times like the Hulk, not some passive, calm ascension over different buildings. And for god's sakes, where are the damn craters when I land?! They can just use the crater effect from the Energy Morph costume change emote.
Plus, I don't think Super Jumpers should lose health from falling, I mean, they planned to cover that distance, why get hurt doing it?
As for SS, they can speed up the character running movement to make it look like they're actually running really, really fast. When I first saw SS, I immediately thought of Flash, running here and there with that swoosh sound followed by blurry afterimages....All I got was a yellow glow under my feet and a faster-than-normal sprint movement.
Yay for changes! -
Alright, managed to get the 'data' file using Safari, and I followed the instructions: Copied it into the 'coh' folder. Opened the game, and the wallpaper stayed the same. Something I did wrong here?
-
Oooo, throwing ideas. I'll jump in.
Forget whip when you can have...Gunblade. Go Squall! -
Website doesn't work for me. After cropping, nothing gets downloaded.
-
Woohoo! Gross clunky Ice Armor is gone! Thanks!
-
Staff really is sweet, though I haven't been playing it much since I'm still not used to /Ice's aesthetics yet.
Though I am having fun with my StJ Stalker at 35 right now, love two-shotting bosses with the AS-->CU combination (With the help of red Insps).
I do feel like starting a Dual Blades/Super Reflexes Stalker though. What's the word on Dual Blades in general? -
They say it'll be released by Issue 24, and I pray to god they change their minds about doing it, or at least leave the ATO procs untouched.
I've just started enjoying the AS to CU combo, and I'm loving it! Devs, please don't do this! -
Quote:I like it, but not a fan of Body Mastery. Though I do like the idea of 6-slotting Build-up with Gaussian's set. That should maximize my defense, and buff me up a bit more. Not quite a PvP build but, I think it'll suit your needs, despite not wanting stealth its just another way to slot monkey a LoTG: 7.5% recharge, and the extra defense doesn't hurt. This build while hide is not suppressed is over capped by 1% to Incarnate Content, aka, a level 54 has a 5% chance to strike you while hidden, and with AoE, its 98% before Retsu. So I imagine you'll be difficult to hit. The reason for the Superior Conditioning and Physical Perfection only having one slot for the End Proc, is simply because i've found that KM just costs a lot of endurance, and that'll literally solve all concievable end problems and should just allow you to faceroll in PvE. So, here you are. Alternatively, you could probably drop Stealth for Burnout if you so desired.

Guess it's bye bye to Stealth IO and Blessing of the Zephyr for travel. -
Alright, completely new to the Incarnate system, but I recently acquired knowledge on using it. The thing I need help with is slotting. I originally slotted my Alpha with Agility, cause the Defense/End-regen/Recharge seemed really good, but poking around the threads, people mostly take Musculature. I'm thinking higher attack would be good, but then again, the combos at the highest Tier won't help me. As for Interface and Judgement, I was thinking of the Tohit Debuff and Pyronic, but I'm not sure.
What are the best ones for Stalkers? -
Assassin's Staff's damage delay only happens during Hide. Guess it's because of the lack of the weapon-draw animation.
Either case, SOMEONE FIX IT. Please? -
-
-
Quote:Let me take that back and say that maybe just one or 2 attacks can get a wee damage increase, specifically that Tier 3 attack. Maybe Eye of the Storm as well. Just a wee bit...Just a wee...Just because something is pay-for doesn't automatically mean it should be stronger. That just creates pay-to-win.
But only after someone takes care of that damn damage delay! That is going to completely nullify the Stalker ATO proc! -
It could use a damage increase. For 800 points, it should be better than average. It could use a small damage increase, but more importantly, and please, for the love of god...
Will someone fix the damage delay on Assassin's Staff?!?! -
Quote:Alright, I've dropped Stealth, picked up weave, and slotted everything to the max, imo. I checked my defense with Hide suppressed and my Ranged and Melee both come out at 44.61 and AoE comes at 35.55. Not worried about the AoE, but does the .39 really make a difference? If so, I can take care of that one easily, but if not, then I'll save a 100 million.I haven't PvP'd or played the arena in ages. I remember players being able to see me at times when I only ran Hide and the Celerity unique. It wasn't until I added Stealth into the mix that I was totally hidden to everyone. I used to just stand around, wait for people to run by and click AS when they pass me. They'll be a good 50 yards away when suddenly 2/3rds of their hp is gone and someone else would finish them off. I was a pretty lazy PvPer.
By the way, when in game, open up your Combat Attributes under the Powers tab and check your melee/ranged/aoe defense. It will give you all the percentages of your current defense. Then go and punch something in the face to see how close you are to being softcap after Hide/Stealth becomes suppressed. It might help you decide if you want to work on it some more. -
Quote:Way higher than 25 Million. Can't find them like before on the Black Market, they're disappearing quick! If you do find the set, expect to pay around 100 million or more.Love at first sight.
I'm not kidding. I don't really play stalkers, but now I'm leveling a Staff/Nin at level 20 and slotted the +hide proc in AS. I have to say, enemies die VERY quickly when you can AS one then instantly get off another huge crit on someone else.
Though, there is a bit of wonkyness to it in that it takes a moment for the effect to trigger, meaning the enemies are still aggroed to you and will attack you, so you need to hope you don't get hit (or in the case of defense sets, don't worry because you won't get hit anyway) in order to stay in hide long enough to get another crit off.
Oh, and the proc also works with the in-combat AS. 3 stacks of assassin's focus + AS = hidden.
Stalkers are literally beasts with this proc. Well worth the 25mil + 500 merits if you don't have it already.
And I was just 3 Stalker's Guile away from the whole set for my StJ/Nin Stalker...Crap.
