If I paint, I usually go for watercolours. But I rarely paint anymore.
The process I usually go through is: Pencil or Ballpoint Sketch - Inking the linart - Scan the pic - Touch up the raw scan using photoshop - Colour in with either Photoshop, Painter or Opencanvas.

Well I can't take credit for this because I didn't create it. I loved that avie when I saw it on another forum. So nik it if you want to ^^ But it would make sense to use it on another board though to avoid confusion between who's who.

I actually like the colouring in this pic. It's consistant and full.
I am weary of your perspective though. States looks very flat on this pic, in my opinion anyway.

Trying to draw him at a different angle, like a front/side view, could help solve the problem.

But I see you had fun in drawing this, so keep it up ^^

But none will work without constant practice. Also, the best tutorial you can find is to go out, and draw what you see.

ShadowGhost, thank you for the feedback. You're right, there are issues with the hips/pelvis area. Unfortunately for me, it only became clear when I was in the later stages of the colouring.. so too late for changes. >_<

I would go back and change the leg like you are suggesting
However, for argument's sake, I find the neck to go well with the nonchalant pose I was trying to give her..

Recieved a couple of pm's with screenshots, Orina's Fire/Fire Tank pictures were calling me ^^

So after being ingame all day yesterday, I took what started to look like a small break. The result? it's 6 am and I'm finished. >< I can see daylight peeking through the blinds and thankfully the birds' chant can't cover my listening to Tool's new album ...

Yeah, I use an old Wacom, A5 graphire 4x5.

Btw, it's a hard angle to draw characters in. But can be very gratifying to eventually make it happen. So keep at it ^^

-I'm concerned about her pelvis/shoulder link. They don't seem like they're in syncronized opposites. I know this term is totally wrong but allow me to illustrate this:

I also have problems with shading and colouring. I really try to look at my surroundings and observe how light settles on objects and which way shadows spawn from that.
