  1. The implementation for this suggestion is long overdue. Make it so.

And a special one for warshades. What?
  3. While I found the link entertaining it was probably more accurate than most of the game guides out written by that one company whose name is eluding me at the moment.

Yep. I play to "pew, pew!" Drops are bonus fun.
  5. For me, this is the best game I have ever played. Period. That is why I am on the annual subscription for my accounts because I have confidence that overall it will continue to be my favorite for a long time to come.

(This is not to say I like everything and agree with every decision they make but overall the good stuff crushes the bad.)

also, if devs were concerned with hoarding, why did they even add the storage devices to sg's?
Because they were trying to strike a balance between the optional inventions and markets and yet keep them healthy. So they limited various items in various ways to try to promote certain activity yet not make it mandatory. Remember they made most of these decisions 3 years ago with only slight alterations since then.

By not allowing a lot of recipe storage they figured people would either sell the recipes on the markets or people would craft them creating some demand for salvage in the markets. If you think about a recipe versus an enhancement and how an SG cannot store a recipe but they can store the resulting enhancement it would suggest they wanted SGs to be able to share a final product. As for salvage storage, salvage has uses besides crafting IOs in that we can craft items for bases plus empowerment stations' use.

It doesn't make sense if you view a recipe as an end to itself but if you view a recipe and salvage as merely pieces of a final enhancement it makes far more sense to allow a lot of enhancements to be stored but not recipes.

Type in /hide and you'll get a window that allows you to customize just who can find you. We got this feature because we had a huge problem with RMTers (gold farmers) harassing players with spam. Coincidentally the restrictions you are dealing with on your trial account were also added because of RMT abuse.

I strongly urge that you pop in on the Justice forum below and ask some of our Aussie players to meet you online. They'l be able to make your CoH experience more enjoyable, and give you tips on global channels they use to game with people when it's your prime time for playing once and if you get a regular account.
And in addition to all this good advice, I still think I17 and then later Going Rogue is going to bring people back into the game from other outside interests so things might be a bit low here in early April but come this summer it ought to be hopping.

of course, if i got out farther on that limb, i would say they are going to seed the market but that would be a terrible idea.
I wish I could refute any of what you write but I cannot.

    3) Warshade Dwarf Mire was changed to shorter recharge, shorter duration and more damage(?) - works kind of like an AoE Follow-up, which is pretty nice. Can't do double miring + Nova as well because of the shorter duration, but can still do double mire + Nuke.
    4) Can't remember if damage was increased for some powers...maybe someone else can chime in if they remember any more important changes or the specific patch notes.
Nova form gets a damage buff of 45% IIRC.

Truly the only thing that matters when playing a game is being entertained. Now certainly the GMs/Devs need to make sure our entertainment doesn't come at real harm to another person but I cannot help but feel that they have capitulated to the too thin skinned where the markets are concerned and I fear they are going to cave even more in Positron's future market "fixes".

    Hooray!!!

I am guessing that means I17 might be open beta pretty soon too.

    Break even is 242 222.
    300 000 inf even a profit of 57 778, which is a 19% return.
And it will sell before the 400k lister, possibly for the 400k. I remember when I used to bother with selling commons I would typically price it at around 20% over cost to cover the fees and time.

  14. Devs fixed an AE exploit? Did you also have a Giant Monster in it?

Unless they have crossed over completely to being a villain that supply will still go to Wentworths so people will have access to villain content and hero market and vice versa depending on their alignment position.

I think they swung the pendulum just a LITTLE too far with promoting so many instances.
Definitely. I solo street sweep for variety. I miss the old teams sweeping through Perez Park.

  23. Don't forget part of this game is to try to guess what Posi is going to fix to help the casual player that will break the markets ala PvP.
  24. I started some rambling thoughts on what fixes Positron might be hinting at to help the markets and while I personally think nothing short of a lot of players really can help over the long haul or a single market so time spent on a hero/villain doesn't take away from the other side's market I did come up with this idea and thought I'd put it out there to be dissected and destroyed by the market gurus.

What if the market fees were less for faster sales?
Time on market to sale results in fee %
    instant is 0%
    < 1 minute is 2%
    < 1 hour is 4%
    < 1 day is 7%
    < 5 days is 10%
    < 30 days is 12%
    < 60 days is 20%
60 days or more is 25%

Would that impact the markets and in what way? It would seem to me to put some pressure on selling faster (that is lower listing prices) but would it?
