Well they did give me demon summoning so they aren't all bad.

    Last 5 clear out

I wonder if they will do any other market house cleaning tasks with it like inactive accounts' bids/listings getting deleted.

    Last 5 clear out

They are going to be clearing out the last 5 sales (per the Ocho's post) when they give us the new GUI tomorrow.
  4. There is a difference between the two sides but Freedom is plenty busy for villains. Check out the suggestions others have posted and you should be fine.

I've been using up my stash of common IOs my field crafters made and just been buying SOs lately to fill in the gaps. Very bland and boring.

And in addition to this I look forward to having my villains parade around Atlas Park to the massive QQing of the heroes-only RPing crowd.

There is an abundance of trash available in the Black Market. Or you can use another word for 'trash' and just call it the BM.

Or the fact that if anyone tried could probably list 20 not sold in the last month red side that you could buy now blue side.
  10. Mega congratulations.

I've been working my way towards this for a long while and am just 3 away. Defenders and Corruptors would have been impossible for me if not for the recent dual pistols arrival.

My widow is at 43, corruptor is at 15 and defender is at 12. I had hoped to get the widow there before demon summoning but that isn't going to happen so she may not be done till the end of the summer.

No point selling water you need for yourself.
Reminds me of the Twilight Zone episode when crooks go into suspended animation and one guy keeps selling his water to the other guy for the gold in the desert.
  13. Warshades and Masterminds. Currently bots/dark but in a few days demons/dark.
  14. Well I can't stand trying to play redside with the scarcity of IOs or the long wait time between sales and purchases on anything that isn't the best stuff even though apart from things like Striga and Croatoa I prefer the red content.

So I still need to wait and see how this will all play out. If a vigilante can initiate red content not just join someone running it, then all my villains will be going blue. If a vigilante can join a redsider but not initiate it then I'll need to decide how badly I want to do mayhems and such.

But I suspect all the patron arcs hate plus the red market hate is going to result in an exodus in July.

People don't strangle cats and dogs to fix them.

That wouldn't work for people who don't want to use the optional markets and inventions but I'd certainly like it.

If you have to choose between full blooded hero and villain, going villain is gonna be extra lame. Hey your level 20 and a villain time for you to leave this cool new zone and head to Sharkshead Island.

Unless GR introduces some insane powers and abilities that reward being full blooded heroes/villains over being rouge/vigilante every toon I have is gonna be grey.
The primary question is based around how the devs have stated what a rogue/vigilante can do.

They can traverse both sides' zones.
Rogues use the Black Markets, Vigilantes use Wentworths.

The subtle phrasing seemed to indicate at the time that a vigilante would not have villain contacts in the Rogue Isles and a rogue would not have hero contacts in Paragon City though you would be able to team with them to do their content. However since we are still 3 months away that could be wrong or changed by then.

At this point I wouldn't assume too much about what we will finally get though. A lot of issues, playability and functionally, could affect what we get in July.

EDIT: Except for new players, of course. I met one once... a few months back. She asked me how I got my wings. I explained vet rewards. I explained the market. I explained salvage and recipes. I gave her 10 million inf. (I think) No clue whether she still plays.
The interesting thing about our email next week is we can email the moon in inf but only 1 item per email.

I cannot wrap my mind around what the purpose in that limitation is other than to prevent item storage/hoarding since we will be limited to holding 20 such emails per account. So perhaps that is the only reason. A constraint on inventions but nothing else.

Having to use a wholly optional market just to actually afford the bare essentials is, frankly, stupid. Yes, there are ways around, but you shouldnt have to be taking alternate routes for something as basic and built in as enhancements.

So, maybe the Devs see it as WAI. But kindly dont type at me like I'm a simpleton.
I am sorry if you are taking it that way but the simple facts are you are not getting it.

Level 22 is not the game. That is the start of SOs. We could afford SOs by the low 30s but not at 22. There was no leaping from 16% to 33% enhancements for all slots and all powers possible without sugar daddies.

You are the one assigning all the rules to determine the situation is broken.

You are expecting to replace all TOs/DOs with DOs/SOs immediately upon reaching levels 12 and 22 which was never possible playing it on our own. These are not the bare essentials at those levels any more than TOs are at level 1.

You refuse to use the markets to enhance your character because you insist that you should not have to use the new option available only for the past 3 years not the first 3 years.

The game isn't broken. Your understanding or expectations are.

And for this game, where the ability to make your character look just like you envision them from the very beginning is a major selling point, the means to give a new character any existing costume part should be present. That doesn't necessarily mean account-wide permanent unlocks, but it could mean account-level unlock credits that can be used on new or existing characters, or unlockable costumes as transferable recipes, or any number of other potential solutions.

Of course, this is all completely irrelevant next to the overriding importance that the mechanics of obtaining costume items should support only the in-character interpretation that some people prefer, because the whole point of the game rules is to make you roleplay correctly.
Though some of that is just beyond the ability to understand/believe/resolve.

    For example: capes.

Hero: Can't get one before level 20 as a tribute to Hero-1 and company. Unless you bought the Magic or Valkyrie packs in which case you can have those capes from level 1 on up. Or you have the veteran over the shoulder cape.

Villain: Can't get one before level 20 because...??? Well anyway at level 20 you beat up a hero and take his cape so you can then wear any cape you want. Unless you bought the Magic or Valkyrie packs in which case you can have those capes from level 1 on up. Or you have the veteran over the shoulder cape. Except on your first costume slot if you are playing a VEAT in which case some capes are available at level 1 and others are not.

    I hate unlockable costume pieces.

    Oh the irony ...

My two favorite uses of the word "irony":

    Steve Martin in "Roxanne"
Bender in "The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings"

I highly recommend both though obviously I recommend Bender a lot more.
