Honestly, here is what I want and it would be a bit of work by the devs but Going Rogue is a first step.
I want a villain path that gets branches off from being a lackey who becomes a trusted lieutenant (the path we have).
Perhaps you want to go the path of a Westin Phipps/Lex Luthor/King Pin. Outwardly decent, inwardly evil beyond repair.
Perhaps you want to go the path of a Vivacious Verandi/Joker/Green Goblin. Nuts and evil.
Perhaps you want to merely be criminal like a Catwoman or Black Cat.
I suspect there might be a couple other styles of paths I am not thinking of at the moment but I want them ALL to be available beginning as soon as possible and growing in their various paths. -
Quote:It's a bug.Opinions fine it just shows you understand you view might be different then someone elses and I can respect that.
All the slots in there are pre level 6. I was not aware you could still repsec those slots into the nova form powers slot pre level 6 still. -

Quote:You have to send inf and items to your global. It won't work on individual character names.I'm glad your issue is being resolved.
Also, if I might make a suggestion.
When you are sending items you really care about, send them directly to your own global instead of sending them to a character name.
This way you can actually confirm the item has been received instantly, on the character you just sent it from. -
Quote:Markets are down for the weekend though.Or you could take all of 10-15 minutes and pick up a quick 100,000 to 500,000 from the market and easily fund everything you might want up through DO's in the first few minutes of the characters career...
Seriously, it's so easy that I stopped trying to twink out new characters a long time ago.
(at least as far as early career twinking goes...I'll still have my high-level toons help out on full IO sets)
Still, being able to mail stuff around IS a nice change. Makes transferring stuff a lot simpler for the few times it's really helpful. -
Quote:Funny you should ask because I accidentally did that. It wouldn't let me call myself a spammer. Of course with multiple accounts a person could end up doing that.what happens if you send yourself an email and mark it as spam? im afraid of testing it myself, but my curiousity is killing me.
im hoping its some huge divide by zero-oshiii moment
They need to move that spam button or the claim button because they are pretty close. -

Before I switch to the alt I always look in my email on the sender because it will display there though if it didn't I wouldn't know what we could do because we don't have a sent box or a way to unsend.

Quote:Nah, I run it in old graphics with 2 of my computers but the two newer ones with UM experience interesting things.I haven't yet tried the dozens of "fixes" that I've tried in the past, which have ranged from playing in safe mode to removing clumps of cat hair from my computer's heat sink. (Hey, don't knock the cat hair thing - it's been the most effective fix by far!)
I haven't had much time. I just thought I'd ask if CoH had maybe mentioned that players who use minimum graphics may be adversely affected by i17, or something like that. I didn't find anything in the News/Announcements forum.

Quote:Well based on a lot of posts I'd say make sure you aren't running any text chatting software or applications which have it built in. Start with running nothing but the game.Unfortunately, I use a laptop w the graphics integrated into motherboard. No driver updates since 2007 - at least none listed on HP site.
Also Dell didn't list my drivers from the last 2 nvidia updates so you might want to Google your display adapter and see if there is a new driver and HP just isn't on the ball. -

You should make sure you have the current video drivers for your card. That solved most of my problems.

Quote:And it will be fabulous. It kind of amuses me that people are making such a big deal out of this. I mean, of course they're working on CoH2, depending on how loosely you define "working." They probably have been ever since the original launch of CoH six years ago. Someone probably has a file somewhere of features and changes they'd like to make in a possible sequel. Some of them may have even played around with game engines or started prototyping a new engine, preparing for when the project gets legs.
As for registration of the name and such, it's really silly to leap from "they filled out paperwork" to "they're working on the game." Just about any IP guru will tell you that you don't wait until you're ready to release something to do all the paperwork. You do it years before, so that when you are ready to go forward with announcements, your a** is covered.
Does anyone here remember that Cisco actually had trademarked the name iPhone and that Apple had to pay a not insignificant amount to use the name? Or that as if that weren't bad enough, they did the exact same thing with the iPad (I'm sure Fujitsu is grateful for the unexpected windfall)? Thinking back even further, who here remembers when Microsoft announced the Xbox, they had not bothered to register xbox.com as their domain name? As I recall, they had to pay a pretty penny to buy it off the lucky schmuck who owned it.
Imagine if I had gone out there and registered or otherwise acquired the rights to the "coh2" name. Before you think, "But Tony, City of Heroes is their IP, they could have made you turn it over," consider that the three letters Cee-Oh-Aitch aren't "owned" by NCsoft. Among other things, it is the NYSE stock symbol for a company named Coach, Inc.. I also see it frequently used as the abbreviation for the popular RTS Company of Heroes. What's to stop Relic from registering CoH2 to represent their game? Well, now, the fact that NCsoft has beaten them to the punch will stop them.
So please, put away the conspiracy theories. Put away the wild speculation. Will there be a CoH2? As long as CoH doesn't tank, yeah, I'm almost certain there will be. That's not news. Is it just around the corner? Hell no. Keep in mind that it was over four years between the launch of City of Villains and Going Rogue. And as you can imagine, the massive brunt of their development effort has been going towards Going Rogue.
So even if (and that's a big if) they're toying around with CoH2 now, and even if (and that's an even bigger if) they made it into a full-scale project after Going Rogue launches, I imagine that it would be at least three to four years out. We may--and I'm being optimistic here--have it by the tenth anniversary. -

The water is cool but I also enjoy watching the shadows move as the sun goes across the sky.

Quote:Or rather 100% of the computer systems.Having no problems here, and enjoying all the new features I am able to. Funny, I guess it's not 100% of the player-base.
3/4 of my computers are fine. 1 is having some funky problems. This is why it is probably a really good idea to at least check out open beta as soon as you can when they have it each time so you will know whether you are likely to have problems or not but even that isn't foolproof.
Last night I discovered facebook's chat feature kills me in game and I never stumbled across that in beta. -
Quote:Did you try to do that all in one email?warning. just emailed myself a purple and a couple rare salvage. alted to find only 1 salvage item. switched back the sending character and all the sent items were indeed gone from his inventory.
I sent in a notice to the powers that be, but thought I'd get the caution out there -
Quote:You should try logging in one of those villains over 20 but I recall people in beta actually had to train up to a level of 20+ to unlock it. So if just logging in doesn't do it, you need to have someone gain a level who is 19+ and go train them.I only skimmed the thread, so I am sorry if this was answered already, but there seems to be some problem with how this works, or maybe I am misunderstanding it.
I have two accounts. One one, I have level 50s on both red and blue sides. The other account only has heroes at level 50. I went on this account to checki it out, but the VEATS are locked. I am not sure why. I have 2 villains over level 20 on that account, but the VEATS just didn't unlock for some reason. -
I would love experimenting but I think the cost would need to be more.
I was thinking something along these lines:
Common Recipe -> Uncommon Recipe (same level): The common recipe plus its 3 salvage to craft plus the inf cost plus 2 uncommon salvage of the same level range.
Uncommon Recipe -> Rare Recipe (same level): The uncommon recipe plus its 3-4 salvage plus its inf cost plus 2 uncommon salvage of the same level range and 2 rare salvage of the same level range.
Rare Recipe -> Other Rare Recipe: the rare recipe plus its 4 salvage plus its inf cost plus 1 more rare salvage of the same level range.
Ultra Rare Recipes would not be allowed.
So instead of crafting the enhancement you would be crafting the new recipe. -
It would probably be very enlightening for someone to post the dev changes to Kheldians over the years. We lost some things but I believe overall we are much better off.
-
I know I am not used to it yet and I've seen it and used it for weeks now. But to be fair I had 3 years to get used to the original one.
-
I seem to recall with Issue 3 they did but that was taken out.

Quote:I did think it was a different password from login. It's not like I would ever use something like this though. Besides if they couldn't email/trade it away they could always delete it all.Of course, given the OP's statement:
... wouldn't that not be an issue for them?
I mean, I get what the OP is saying, and if it's something like "My little brother saw my account still logged on when I had to use the bathroom," sure, it'd stop them (assuming you didn't give them the password.) But if your account has been compromised - hacked, RMTers, etc. - I'd think they'd already HAVE your password, so asking for it once more to disable the feature wouldn't be much of a deterrent. -
Squishy in Nova form and we used to get really killed by Voids, Quantums and Cysts. Not really any more.
