  1. With tweaking I have it up to 29. I'll see how well it goes.

So that's a pretty bad frame rate at 11.36 I am assuming? I guess I better play with my ultra settings more.
  3. So I searched and found one number is framerate and one number is ping but I really don't know which is which when I /showfps 1.

In my upper right I have 11.36 (87.8m/Fm)

I think the lower number is the ping and the higher number is the framerate but all of my searching hasn't really shown me which is which. And in either case what does the m/Fm stand for?

    thanks

Edit: Oh, and my hidden agenda is relatively blatant: I'm trying to generate a thread that both stimulates conversation and is easily harvested by Red Names for feedback.
I don't think there are a lot of them and most really aren't that funny but at this time I seek a break from standard content which I have pretty well been there and done that.

I would compare it this way. Say there are a billion television programs of a serious crime drama nature (I know it is probably only 30 or so) but one of them was pretty funny. Let's call it "Monk".

I am going to go out of my way to catch Monk but the 50 CSI, NCIS, L&O, etc. shows I am completely unmotivated to seek out. Even moreso when only one channel shows Monk on only 2 nights a week but those other shows and their variants are on several times a day every single day and I have just by having my TV on seen most of them.
  5. I like the comedy stuff as a break to the regular game content.

I remember how hard it was entering a game that was new to me only to find the market inflation had place much far beyond the grasp of a new commer.
Everything in the game before markets is still available at the stores at no inflated prices.

Every new invention item in the game since I9 and the markets has had its ups and downs. What of the massive deflation of costume recipes?!

Call me crazy but what if a newcomer were to learn the game using SOs that are now easily funded by selling their invention drops on the market or vendoring them (depending on where they can get more inf)? Seems a lot better than I had it for 3 years struggling to get SOs from 22 to 32 and no easy way to transfer inf like email provides now.

Or they can implement an idea like yours or price caps driving the best stuff off the market entirely like many PvP IO recipes.
  7. No contest, my casually purpled and LotGed Warshade.

For any other characters it will depend on what it takes to get there and what it benefits the character.

    OK.
To be fair to the OP the game did tell him his machine could. I think it said one of mine could and I was like "Oh no it can't."
  9. I can speak for myself why I love my warshades and not so much my PBs.

    The secondary effect:
WS is to slow your enemies meaning they cannot attack you as often.
PB is -def to them. So yes, you can keep hitting them. But they can keep hitting you until you kill them.

    The pet:
WS you can easily get 2 and sometimes 3 Extracted Essences going as little cannons traveling along with you even when you die.
    PB you get photon seekers.

WS gets Eclipse which you can easily get to cap your damage resistance.

WS can double mire (human and dwarf) but the PB has a buildup power which doesn't last that long.

WS gets Stygian Circle meaning that pile of dead enemies can fully restore my endurance and health after each fight.

Where I prefer my PB to a WS: against ghosts.

Ledger's performance was just so odd in such a wonderfully subtle way. I loved it. And the dialog and themes of that movie were a joy for myself. That is the sort of darkness I can enjoy. He twisted and turned everyone upside down with his perspective on the forces at work. I love that they had him hanging upside down when delivering the lines about him enjoying Batman and Batman needing and creating him. Sort of like the ouroboros serpent swallowing itself. Good stuff... Anyways... I'm out of here for the night!
    I completely agree.

Ledger's Dark Knight's Joker was incredible. I just wouldn't want to play someone that messed up in our game.

That's part of the anti-villain sentiment I don't get is how some people act like all villains are like Ledger's Joker or Hannibal Lecter or similar to a real life murderer or despot. Really most villain players just want some flexibility to be comic book villains like Joker, Green Goblin, Two-Face, Dr. Doom, Lex Luthor, Kingpin, etc.

Thanks for the help guys but I have to come get him again unfortunately.
I saw Sally swimming on land when I killed her/it/him/alien/thingy/food/drink, what ever it is! It was swimming on land!
She used to do that. It was fixed. Perhaps it is broke again.

When you got her you should have set a clock to 45 minutes and scoured the lake then.

It's probably best not to bash Freedom since some new people will like playing there just as it is bad to bash Virtue for roleplaying or bash the lower pop servers for not being like Times Square.

Let's just leave it at each server has its own special personality and some people will like it and some won't.

They are and they aren't. You will find some of the same kinds of things on almost all of them but each has its own personality.

As Red Valkyrja wrote, check them out.

Don't buy the line that any of them are dead. They just aren't as noisy.
  14. My favorite villains are The Joker (ala the animated show voiced by Mark Hamill because he just has so much fun) and Lex Luthor/Kingpin types.

    Sally's Extinct

You never heard of a bearded lady, Sardan?
  17. I preferred the Resistance shields Patrons for my bots/ff to cover me when damage slipped through the shields. I also saw no gain from Power Boost so I decided not to go with Black Scorpion.

I didn't feel the -end effect of Mu Mastery was going to amount to much help so I skipped that.

This left me with Leviathan or Soul Mastery which I felt gave similar results but I liked Oppressive Gloom and Nightfall more than Knockout Blow and Bile Spray.

That's funny because I did think it might be an RMTer and wondered if it might go there and didn't feel like dealing with clicking ignore them as spammer later.

  20. Oh, a villain. Well you're going to have trouble getting some IOs at many levels as you journey in a timely fashion.

Honestly I would recommend using MA to get tickets to generate recipes to hopefully score a nice one and then just use whatever set IOs/recipes you can and mix and match with the commons and SOs.

Teams can also cover a lot of shortfalls.

What is your character's AT and powersets? I might have some stuff lying around in my bins I can throw your way.
  21. And recently global tells of "hey" from people I don't know. I have no idea what they mean.

I don't get the Phantasm part though. Unless you are saying the Phantasm's decoys look like itself, then yes, but if you are saying for them to look like you/members of your team it makes no sense.
I've always thought of it as you and your allies see through the decoys but the enemies don't or they don't really care because the decoys are hurting them so they want to get them and don't realize getting you gets rid of all 3 of them.

    GIMMIENAO!
    Darn right!

Last night I popped over to a 50 and killed a couple bosses in the wild and shot the 100k via email to a lowbie to buy what he wanted, a couple lowbie salvage.

Sure I could have had the 50 just buy them but then I would have to run him to the market or I could have shot 1 million to the lowbie but this was more amusing to me.
