I have a few characters that I fully intended to switch to hero for no other reason than the markets. Now they can stay villains (or go Rogue) because I will have access to markets and can twink between the sides. -
It's creating a seismic shift in my game approach. I had been all about clearing out and heading to blue sobbing softly over the loss of my three favorite parts of red side: Mayhems, Patrons (yes really) and Television.
Add to the fact that we will be able to trade and email across factions I feel like I was caught in an explosion. This must be what a true headasplode feels like. -

I've won a great many fights over the years in this game. This one is particularly sweet. All of us who've been fighting for this should rejoice. But I'm going one further. I'm going to be on the lookout for these imagined "negative consequences" we've been told about for three years. I doubt I'll find them, and if I don't I'm going to post the biggest "I told you so." I ever have!

I find it odd that while I wasn't all that nuts over not being in closed beta yet I am more excited about the release date announcement than if I had gotten an invite this week.
Of course I still need to figure out what I am going to do first on August 17. -

As to good standing, let me suggest that if you've ever been caught exploiting or seriously violated a NDA, your account might not be in good standing. I can't provide an exhaustive list, but the vast majority of people don't have to worry.
And release date of Aug. 17 has been announced. -
I never skip Grandville or the Patron arcs.
I enjoy the patrons' concept though the implementation is a bit annoying. -
I prefer 32 so I can use them for full benefit at level 29, the upper limit in Ouroboros for the 25-29 arcs.
[edit] and so I can roll in 35-39 range also. -
I have to admit I don't even worry about influence/infamy any more.
Between MA tickets and the easy availability of so many merits the opportunities are overwhelming. Plus the email of inf now.
I enjoy threads like this because of the effort others are willing to make to do these things including screenshots and posting about it. I am far too lazy to bother trying to show how easy it is anymore. -

This is my problem with the whole "do random rolls!" I am making a toon that would like to have 5 LotG procs as well as the Numina/Miracle unique. First off I'm not about to spend 100+ million on them (since I don't have that kind of money) and 2 because I think it's ridiculous that they cost that much.
I probably spent 1.5B "purpling" and "LotGing" my warshade over most of the last year which I made by selling all the drops I got I didn't want and random rolling the merits I was earning.
I don't consider it a bad tradeoff. -
