Besides, any regulation is just going to meet what PVP IOs are seeing now. 2 billion cap? They'll take it off the market and sell it for 2+ billion (and avoid the AH taking a chunk of it.) If commons were restricted to - say - 20,000 INF or less, and Luck Charms are selling (blueside) for 50,000 or more regularly? People are going to sell them off-market.
    Even worse.

People are going to buy them out the market at the cap and sell them off-market. They'll be gone as fast as they are listed there.

Should I stay away from sets in favor of pure generic IOs?
In the 20s it is going to suck whether you use SOs, generic IOs or set IOs. There's just not enough slots then.

However once you hit the mid 30s with a good build you should see a marked improvement.
  4. I was thinking more along the lines if it was a bug introduced with Mutant booster they may have fixed it.
  5. We had a patch today. I'd check that out now if I could.

    Warshade blues

First a joke to get out of my system. Warshades are not blue. The devs won't let us color customize.

(I know I am not funny.)

Anyway the only problems I have with my low 20s warshades is CoT ghosts and BP.

The Tsoo, especially on the streets of Talos and IP, I kill at will with Nova form. If a sorc mezzes me I just get to hang out up in the air until it breaks or I can switch to Dwarf and slap them around a bit.

Frankly, as mentioned before, I would like to see regulation take place to control the idiotic prices of stuff, the artificial hoarding and then over pricing of common salvage as a whole.

Common salvage - 8 AE tickets for a random roll

If that is too hard for someone who doesn't like the sometimes crazy common salvage prices I don't know what more people want the devs to do.

I am the wrong person to ask. I have 22 Field Crafters and am working on 3 more.

I agree. Another possibility is the under 50 crowd are keeping what they are getting either random rolling of direct purchase with merits.

I'm not sure how we can know what people are doing. We can only see what happens in the markets (boy I cannot wait to use the singular noun for that).

They are, to my eyes at least, how enhancements should have been done from the get-go, hence enhancements done right. The only appeal SOs have right now over Inventions is the fact that they're cheaper and available from NPC vendors. Hence, again, enhancements done right.

You seem to read me as saying the system is not working as designed. It is. I just don't like how it was designed to work, and not wanting to give this exact explanation multiple times is why I tried to make a statement without having to explain myself.

I would prefer it if I could get ready-made Commons for a fixed price. That's all it comes down to.
While I understand your point it would throw a major monkeywrench into the Field Crafter.

It was my understanding due to "badgers" that common IOs can be scored cheaper than memorized crafting cost. Certainly someone ought to be selling them for less than the unmemorized cost.

I ALREADY DID!!! (Granted it was a sarcastic one that poked at the current segregated markets and called for unmerging across the servers too.)

Particularly I'm wondering about the post that Positron made regarding a market merger, the one that's been sigg'ed by Nethergoat.

I'm sure they're not idiots, so I'm wondering just what their crystal ball could've foretold. What do you all think?
The first thing is when he wrote that it was probably under the assumption villains and heroes would still not be able to trade or email stuff across factions but that has also been lifted according to WarWitch's post last Tuesday. So it is possible his predictions were based upon that situation and if so I would have to let him off the hook for said predictions.

The most wrong theory people have about the merger is there will be more ability to manipulate the market. However as many of us know from practical experience the more people participating in a market niche the harder it is to score big. It will take a large and concentrated effort by people deliberately trying to manipulate market prices when everyone is working in the same market whereas now one person can run one item in the Black Market.

I also think his doom and gloom predictions were probably not what would have happened anyway. They've never really said what they expected to happen to the market when certain changes occurred in the game the past 3 years but there were plenty of people here who called most of them if not every single one.

Once GR is in open beta then we will have better ideas of what people can do and what they are most likely to do and then predictions will make more sense.
  15. So last week really did happen and it wasn't a dream?

Honestly much better than the market merge for me is the ability to email across factions. The new merged market will be interesting but the shackles of side being removed is my truest glee in last week's announcement.

Great, now I need to login character after character until one of them gets that.
  17. So far I have hit Pain Tolerance, Quick Reflexes and Tough Hide. Tough Hide more than the others.
  18. My favorites are Serpent Drummer's, Television and Von Grund but I haven't really paid attention to the timing of them. I enjoy them so the time seems to go quickly enough.

    Seeding?

I doubt the devs would bother doing it as an inf sink. There have been many suggestions of other inf sinks they could use and they haven't implemented those yet.

I suspect that unlike a lot of posters they don't see an overall inflationary rise or even if they do figure that is just part of the optional aspect of the market and IOs.

But if they ever do all they would have to do is sell purple and PvP recipes in stores.
