Quote:I think I will avoid the forums and stay in the tailors.I foresee many posts this week with the following...
"CoH is dying cause I can't find any teams! Everyone is in the tailor!!!"
"CoH is dying cause I can't find any teams! Everyone is soloing with the new difficulties!"
"CoH is dying cause I can't find a level 35-50 team! Everyone is in AP, PO, Mercy, Cap etc!!"

Quote:My shade has been in play for around 125 hours at level 50 as of last night and I only have 10 more purples to get and one LotG +Recharge to finish his build.Inside joke, based on people who regularly complain about the market because a casual player can't afford full sets of purples and then blame it on evil marketers. ^_^
Although... I have two Warshades in the 30's that I eventually plan to play up and probably IO out to the best of my ability.... >.>
Only the pre-self-defeated crowd can't do it and the ridiculously impatient think that is too long.
The real question is once I get done what am I going to do when he hits 2 billion influence? -
Quote:I don't know where I will start first. This is a huge issue as far as affecting almost every character plus all the other goodies.Awesome. Can't wait to turn off my in-game mail.
And, well, all the other awesome bits, too.
I may just go down the list one by one. -
Quote:Yep, I think we all know what they hope to install tomorrow morning...

Quote:I'm not sure this qualifies as marketeering, but I made 1 billion influence in 9 days playing my warshade (casually of course) by running Unai's "To Save a Thousand Worlds" through Ouroboros (about 5 times) and selling my drops where they made the most. How do you guys make so much cash from marketing? I want to make cash but I'm just lost when i try. So does any one have tips or guides i can look at?
Some recipes that meant NPC vendoring. Some recipes it meant crafting them and selling. I only got 3 really nice rare recipes from my merits. I got 3 nice purples (I killed a lot of foes) and I got 4 lamer ones but the difference between selling the recipes and selling the enhancments was quite a bit.
The generated volume required me to quick sell the salvage by listing it for 1 or 2 and getting back to the missions.
I can tell you during that time I found several recipes with many for sale and no one bidding with a last 5 laughably low but the enhancement was worth millions. -
We need I16 to launch to get those people back in here.
-
Possible slowdown causes:
1. End of summer results in some returning to school
2. Champions Online just launched and some may be checking that out
3. I16 is in open beta so some may be hanging out there -

And if someone still needs an idea of how to get damage when defense based, just make a second build without defense.
-
Quote:I know you are joking and if I thought it would do any good I'd post my warshade's progress towards all his purples without market games but the market haters can't read/think so I don't feel like wasting my time with them....that you can't purple your little warshade.
Sorry about that, old chap. Can't be helped. Progress and whatnot, you know.
(Finally my own "proof of ebil" #9 post. Been wanting to post it for a while, but decided I should get my main to 2 bil, and then decided to wait a few more days for my main villain to hit 1 bil (for the 2nd time). ^_^ )
Gratz on your mega billions. -
Quote:And who to kill.Of course the former #2 (the rivals) could be doing all boss AE farm, or even if perstige matters fighting certain AVs in AE missions that give huge rewards (Lord Recluse springs to mind).
Making a great deal of prestige fast isn't hard in a decent sized group, its just matter of knowing what to do. -
All I can add to this is when my warshade exemps below level 8, the level 11 KB prot turns off. It is in Absorption which they get at level 1. But my level 33 Devastation: Chance to Hold always works as long as I have the power it is in.

Re: current price on Nevermelting Ice
I've been dumping all my commons for 255 including nevermelting ice all week and I can tell you all you're going to have to be above 40k to get them because that is what I have gotten every time.
You'd be better off running a mission in MA and random rolling for them if 40k is too steep. -
I have never needed this abilty but I have always been afraid I would.
So yes, please, let us respec these vet power choices. -
Quote:You can't read. People are writing no forced teaming or penalties for not teaming.Heck, even on this thread, all I hear is "No" to teaming!
Wouldn't you agree that lack of teams,or teaming is destroying the game too?
The game is not being destroyed as long as ideas like yours do not get implemented. -
I laughed because I wasn't expecting that for an answer.

Quote:Would you send Bruce any way? Please?i'm going to say this as nicely as i can for the 3rd time... STOP WITH THESE STUPID SUGGESTIONS ABOUT TEAMING! you have a terrible attitude and i'm sure that is what is getting to the people in game. there is absolutely no reason to have incentives for teaming in a game that doesn't force you to team. GET OVER IT.
and before i forget...
/JPOWERSTONEFISTBREWHAAMISHRANGER!!!
and if you don't get over it i will send Bruce to eat you where you sit. -

Quote:Do you mean they should not or that they should not have to? AE tickets would explain why it has happened and is a ready alternative to the inf challenged.Another thing that will help you is to try to earn the badges that increase your recipe, salvage and auction storage slots. Then you can gather more before you have to dump any.
I've found that it isn't really worth the trouble trying to save common and uncommon salvage unless I'm going to use it soon. Influence is pretty easy to come by, so I don't worry too much about having to re-buy something recently sold, even at a significant loss. Annoying, but I'd find trying to precisely juggle salvage even more so.
Though that does get harder when some of the prices have gotten out of control. Even people with way too much influence should not pay 100,000 for common tech salvage. -

Quote:I read your rant. There is nothing in it for US players to do about it. There is nothing new or interesting in your rant that hasn't been posted ad nauseum for the past couple years.Again, read the post that started this thread. That is what I propose we do about it.
Your inability to see the difference between a forum where players ask other players questions versus the suggestions and ideas forum is amusing. That you think you had a proposal in your post is amusing. Your rant is not.
