  1. I've never really understood this line of reasoning. It's like saying you cannot play Germany or Japan in Axis and Allies to me.

This, however, is subject to technical difficulties by the playerbase, as per Memphis_Bill said. Yes, the '@Globalname' would fix it, but it would be complicated and annoying to type everytime.

Of course, there could be a list! A Friends List that would only accept one 'Wraith' and one 'Zero' and one 'Superhumanman'; on this list, you wouldn't HAVE to type the /Global in, you'd just type the name and the system remembers for itself.

Me? I like the idea, but I'm not stupid enough to think that my likes are the community's likes.
The problem with the bolded part is what if you become or want to become friends with more than one?

    Winter 2010

I'd like to see a return of the mission where villains steal presents.
  4. 51-53 IOs do not exist as drops and cannot be bought via merits but they are part of the database which is why the markets list them.

Welcome to Triumph, though I'm only vacationing here. I'm sure in a few days people will stop trying to spawn WL every two seconds. I know I will after I get my Universal Travel IOs. [Aside, don't ever try to explain to someone how you got enough candy canes to get your jingle jet. It doesn't go over well.]
Isn't it just 10 candy canes???
  6. Triumph is the busiest little server.

Even dropping everything back to basic ios, +0/x2 would be a breeze.

Hover in, drop detention field on primary boss, explosive blast, repulsion bomb, energy torrent, single target attacks, keep boss in detention field, when surround spawn is gone, aid self, single target chain of p-burst, p-bolt, p-blast, p-bolt, repeat. Use pff/aidself if things get hairy.

    What's the problem here again?

  8. Thanks for checking it out, Cat.

I have to say from running the presents, rescuing the baby and defeating the Lord of Winter that I find the quickest path to canes is baby new year mission and reward at the end.

Yes there are more players on after school and work hours are over on the east coast, I didn't say there wasn't.

I'll say again that the game itself did not show enough players to truncate the list at 1 that afternoon.

I switched to Guardian directly after, and lo and behold, enough players to truncate the list. Sorry, the sky is blue whether you say it is or not.

So you posted with your fingers in your ears and hands over your eyes (a neat trick I will admit)?
  10. I would think AE tickets already do this after a fashion.

1pm on a single Wed afternoon is meaningless. Why do you think it is valid to extrapolate that to the other 604,799 seconds in a week let alone a longer timespan?

Example: I am never on at 1pm Wednesdays unless for some reason I am not at work but I could be on from 9pm-1am M-F plus a lot on Saturday and Sunday.

  13. I ask myself this so often. It seems like even if I try to play one of my other games I am thinking that I could be playing one of my heroes or villains instead and if that other game doesn't grab me fast enough I quit and go to City.

I cannot itemize why I enjoy this game so much but I do enjoy it more than any other game I have played in the past 5 1/2 years.
  14. BTW, the easy path to lots of inf at lower levels is MA. I've taken a couple characters to MA only and by level 20 all 3 are over 50M from selling the bronze recipes I've rolled. One key is that some of those recipes might sell for 2-5 million but people pay 10-20 million for the crafted enhancement.

I had to use some tickets to get some salvage to sell to even have enough to list the enhancements.

Either that, or if they do change from using Arbiters as trainers, give us a bit more of some of the other Arachnos characters, who're not quite as well regarded as to be hanging out in Recluse's VIP Party Room.

edit: I wouldn't just get rid of the Arbiters in a patch with no story related to it though...give us an Arachnos Civil War, or at the very least some good reason for reallocation of forces...maybe an invasion of another country/dimension/time/planet
A civil war would be very cool. Perhaps after they finish the bulk of Going Rogue they could work an aspect of that into a story line.

After all, the resistance isn't exactly following the laws. They're breaking them. Thusly, that would make you a villain on that Earth...while on Prime Earth, you'd seem more like a hero.
But villains oppose the Rikti for trying to take over so they would also oppose Cole unless there is something in it for them.

Conceding the match in PVP would be dropping toggles and letting them get the win. That's the game mechanic to conceding the match. Running away is tipping the board.

    Agreed. I never said otherwise.

Actually, I wouldn't (too much trouble to avoid what is essentially a non-issue.) But again, this isn't the situation I was talking about. Go back and re-read my posts. My compaint has always been about people who meet these THREE CRITERIA:

1.) They actively engaged you in a fight. that is, they were in fact fighting. They may even have initiated the fight (go back to see the example I cited when I first started posting on this).
2.) they decided at some point to run away.
3.) they then ran away and then LEFT THE ZONE.

Unless all three are true, then it doesn't apply to the situation I'm discussing.
Too bad #3 doesn't count as a defeat for the runner resulting in rep and recipe for the winner.

You're tipping over the chessboard rather than lose your queen. It's poor sportsmanship to agree to play a game and abide by the rules of the zone then refuse to play the game when it doesn't go your way.
Going to disagree with this too.

Entering the zone does not mean a person has to fight. It's not fight club. It just means you cannot complain if someone keeps attacking you whether you fight back or not.

You are just consenting to accepting that other players can attack you. Nothing more and nothing less.

The entire game itself is the restaurant. This is In Front Steakhouse.

The PVP Zone is the portion of your table that has hot sauce, pepper flakes, sugar and salt packets, ketchup, mustard and the tasty, tasty grated cheese (Mm-mm... Temp Powers and Accolades).

The PVP Zone experience is an extremely SMALL portion of the game. It can be utterly ignored (and often is). The reasons why have been hashed and rehashed. The growing agitation I'm seeing indicates that a lot of you Zone PvPers see these problems and don't know how to deal with them.

It's simple. Stop rubbing hot sauce on the new patrons. Ask if they would like hot sauce.
I am not a PvPer but just because you say so doesn't make it so.

The PvP zones are fight club. If we go there they can attack us. That is the rules. Everything else you have written are your rules but you aren't in charge so they are irrelevant.

You blast the zone PvPers as not getting it. Honestly the anti-PvPers are the ones not getting it. We enter PvP zone, we have consented to being attacked. They can use a stalker to AS us or a blaster to snipe us.

People who hate PvP to the point that getting attacked in the PvP zones need to stay out. If you want the badges, nukes or shivans you take your chances.

The problem isn't the PvPers. We sign up when we enter. As designed by the developers. If a non-PvPer doesn't like it they should stay out of the zones or live with the risk.

I have been stopped from getting my shivans twice in all these years by PvPers, the risk is minimal. But I don't come here and complain that a PvPer stopped my fun by PvPing me in a PvP zone because that is stupid.
