I suggested it before WoW was launched in the Ideas and Suggestions forums. And 3 times since that first time. Forum monster may keep eating it but I am sure Google has it cached somewhere. -
The only financial aspect of the game I find depressing is the other games I have bought in the past 6 years that I don't play hardly at all.

Quote:This is my expectation as well and I suspect the devs think enough people will cross the other way to help the red market. I don't think that will happen. Depending on how annoying it is I may bring heroes over with supplies for my existing villains and send them back but it certainly won't be to sell those items on the Black Market.I'm not normally one for doom posts, but I think that if a market merge doesn't happen this situation will get worse, not better. With GR, villains will switch sides so they can participate in the blueside market.
It doesn't have to be a mass exodus to have a noticeable impact. While it's true that only a small percentage of characters ever seriously get into the "purpling out" stage, I am betting that many of those players will look at prices and availability blueside and make the switch. As those same players are probably among the the more intensive TFers and farmers, they'd also be taking their disproportionate capacity for recipe and salvage production blueside too.
Hopefully I'm wrong, but due to this effect I expect the redside market situation to worsen when GR goes live. -
Wait for Issue 17 and people can email it to you.

Too bad Castle doesn't seem to see it is the drop rate that is broken.

I know there aren't many of us (might only be me) supplying level 10 stuff red side. On the plus side I am making a nice amount and leveling up a lot of lowbie alts.
-
I think that covers my view as well. I do tend to look at what I can get on a character and see if I can max it up. For example I am amassing the damage increase on one of my peacebringers plus the increase to hitpoints. Perhaps I would add "whatever amuses me at the moment".

Quote:An important thing to note is while some servers queue up with a higher load it is actually a hero side load not a villain side load. Ever since server transfers became available I noticed a drop in Champion's villains and with the current free server transfers through the end of the month it is possible some other red sides have seen a decrease.Freedom is the highest load, followed closely by Virtue. I've seen them swap positions but not very frequently. Justice follows as a distant 3rd place, but fairly consistently in that spot.
The others I can't be 100% positive, but I think it is Champion, Infinity and Guardian.
I would suggest people check out the servers/factions at the time they are likely to play and see if it meets their needs. -
The real key is you stop seeing us playing the live game when we are in the betas. But I am just enjoying my Netflix watch instantly queue now. Really.

Task forces, Ouroboros, badge collection, invention IO collection especially purple IOs which can only be slotted by level 50s...
Whatever you want to do really.
I forgot PvP. -

Just pick one of the canned costume sets and get to villainous activity!

I'm reminded of the expression "you can't go home again". I don't think anything can make it be fresh and new again in the original way of 2004. The fresh and new things they have and will add will be awesome to some and meh to others.
Unless they are planning to re-vamp all content due to war which seems very unlikely. -
There's a mission or two (or an arc of TF) that makes it clear how the war started but I won't spoil it.

Didn't we develop our portal tech from Rikti tech in the first Rikti War?

Quote:Towards the end after Alex has Death Blossomed and done a lot of damage to the Kodan mothership on the bridge Lord Kril demands a damage report and is told that the guidance system is out and they are locked into the moon's gravitational pull. The officer asks Kril "What do we do?"I have seen it, but not in years. It's one of my favorites. Anything with a Delorian is.
Can I get a refresher? What are you referring to?
Kril lowers his monocle thing and says "We die." -

Quote:Unless you intend for the mothership to be your permanent presence in the conquered world. A Death Star fear inducing kind of thing.I have to disagree. Millions of 1-2 person portals would be much more efficient than building a massive superstructure, lifting it into the sky, moving it between dimensions only to open portals to send your troops down.
The argument could me made that the mothership is a launching platform for Dropships. However these were not used in the first war, and based on the size of the Dropships vs the size of the Mothership it seems unlikely it is the current source of the ships. -
Quote:I seem to recall the key to security is an appearance of being more secure than any expected value for breaking in.But that seems rather circular and a bit contradictory to me. Either:
- Criminals are working hard enough to surmount any security the devs tack on, fobs included. In which case fobs are of doubtful use.
- What's really needed for any security system is vigilence. Unfortunately this is not found in equal measure among all users, clever or not.
So if someone really wants in and they have the ability they will get in but how much security do we need for our game before they wouldn't bother? -
Or whatever is happening will be in the Rikti War Zone.
