If there is a football game going on you will be removed from the field. Since we lack a mechanic like that this analogy doesn't really work.

A more apt comparison would be you are wandering around a lovely wooded glade where there is a war being waged and you are wearing the uniform of a side. Telling the other side you are a pacifist and not interested in the war probably won't be very successful.

I still love everytime I get to Eclipse in a large group and double mire and nuke and Stygian Circle to full end/health.

You mean for existing characters, right? Because I recall they said we could start all ATs (not Khelds and VEATs though) in Praetoria but at level 20 we have to split.

    I can't wait for July.

And Praetoria is a lot cleaner than the Rogue Isles.

As long as it can be soloed, I am okay with it. I've been on too many TFs that fall apart because people start leaving and it is very sad.

Because Morgan Freeman is cooler. And he played the President and God. And Easy Reader.

    He's freaking Morgan Freeman!

We don't have endgame content but I guess I could be more clear. I don't like the following to be unlockable:
    ATs
    Costume pieces

I also don't want a TF/SF to be required to unlock anything ever. I am okay with something of non-cosmetic use being unlockable by a TF/SF as long as it can also be unlocked by another means.

    I loathe unlockable stuff.

But I love (in anticipation of course) Going Rogue.

I haven't played CoH in about 5 months or so, and looking on the website to find out that something like epic ATs at level 20 is kind of upsetting.
I mean, really. If you're going to buy a subscription to an online game, you should expect that you're gonna have to play in order to achieve certain things. I was upset to find out the amount of new players getting to level 50 in two days when the Mission Architect came out, when I'd spent so much time getting to that level by actually playing the game. And now, people are being basically spoonfed the highlights of devoting your time to the game.
I don't wanna sound like I'm overreacting, and I don't want to sound too attached to the game. But City of Heroes used to be a lot better. I KNOW I'm not the only one complaining about the frequent issues coming out to keep the game interesting.
You stopped playing when it was better???

  13. A petless MM?! You are NOT a conformist. You shall now take the non-conformists' oath.

    Repeat after me.
    "I promise to be different."
    "I promise to be unique."
"I promise not to repeat things other people say."

Gratz on billion. Now splurge for some pets, a monocle and a top hat.
  14. These are excellent suggestions and composed well. It was a pleasure to read and to /sign.

In simple terms the universe is dying.

The last question by Asimov is an interesting read on this subject:

This takes me back far too many years when I first "found" Asimov and read everything in the library that had his name on it. Thanks, Cat.

I should re-read the Foundation trilogy again soon.

There are very good reasons for keeping test available for incremental patches during the much longer beta for a boxed expansion testing.

Without a redname answer one way or the other, we simply don't know at this time. It makes sense to me that we could transfer characters to the GR test, but there is nothing official either way.
The other thing they could do, which they did a couple times in the betas, was copy a live server's worth of characters over. It stinks if you don't have any or the ones you want though.

Be original, and go for it. If you get generisized, you can appeal, and you'll get a free rename anyways. Costumes may get scrambled, but they don't take much to fix.

Get a concept and google some art on the patriot types.

I'm trying to rack my brain of all the stars-n-bars type heroes out there...

    Captain America
    Spirit of '76
    Statesman
    USAgent
(Kirby retaliation character for Captain American...)
    ...

Any others you can think of?
    Liberty Belle
    Star Spangled Kid

Seconded. My favorite of them even has the Patriot badge title overhead.
  21. For me I like to work the Ouros' 45-50 arcs. I get merits and have the opportunity for purples to drop.
  22. The same thing happens with the Vampyrii sarcophogi (sp?) in the Striga mission.

    Boards Down

    Not that I recall.

Perhaps they are getting ready for beta sections?
  24. It was really hard to get my peacebringer to 50 because I kept comparing it negatively to my warshade. But thanks to double exp that is finally done.

I apologize to PB lovers but I just can't stand them compared to shades.
  25. Look it's really simple, everyone needs to play warshades. They have it all: purple coloring, pets, damage, controls, resistance, stealth, did I mention purple coloring? And since they can teleport they don't have to walk to enemies.

I'm really disappointed that you missed the obvious solution is purpled out warshades for everyone.

    I like purple.
