A more apt comparison would be you are wandering around a lovely wooded glade where there is a war being waged and you are wearing the uniform of a side. Telling the other side you are a pacifist and not interested in the war probably won't be very successful. -

Answer to the title: For some of us, the day we rolled them - I4 for me.
That said, there have been many changes over the years (such as being able to shift to Dwarf while mezzed, and neutering Voids, on top of just plain game changes - especially IOs and their effect on slotting) that have had quite an impact on Khelds.

I also don't want a TF/SF to be required to unlock anything ever. I am okay with something of non-cosmetic use being unlockable by a TF/SF as long as it can also be unlocked by another means. -

5 years ago I devoted my time completely to getting to level 50, unlocked epic AT, and felt like I'd earned it.
I haven't played CoH in about 5 months or so, and looking on the website to find out that something like epic ATs at level 20 is kind of upsetting.
I mean, really. If you're going to buy a subscription to an online game, you should expect that you're gonna have to play in order to achieve certain things. I was upset to find out the amount of new players getting to level 50 in two days when the Mission Architect came out, when I'd spent so much time getting to that level by actually playing the game. And now, people are being basically spoonfed the highlights of devoting your time to the game.
I don't wanna sound like I'm overreacting, and I don't want to sound too attached to the game. But City of Heroes used to be a lot better. I KNOW I'm not the only one complaining about the frequent issues coming out to keep the game interesting. -

What happened for the COV beta was:
1) 'normal' server was kept up and running for any incremental patches.
2) The COV test server install overwrote the normal client install.
Obviously there was no server transfers into COV testing, ans no-one had villains available.
There are very good reasons for keeping test available for incremental patches during the much longer beta for a boxed expansion testing.
Without a redname answer one way or the other, we simply don't know at this time. It makes sense to me that we could transfer characters to the GR test, but there is nothing official either way. -

Be original, and go for it. If you get generisized, you can appeal, and you'll get a free rename anyways. Costumes may get scrambled, but they don't take much to fix.

For me I like to work the Ouros' 45-50 arcs. I get merits and have the opportunity for purples to drop.

It was really hard to get my peacebringer to 50 because I kept comparing it negatively to my warshade. But thanks to double exp that is finally done.
I apologize to PB lovers but I just can't stand them compared to shades. -
Look it's really simple, everyone needs to play warshades. They have it all: purple coloring, pets, damage, controls, resistance, stealth, did I mention purple coloring? And since they can teleport they don't have to walk to enemies.
I'm really disappointed that you missed the obvious solution is purpled out warshades for everyone.
I like purple.
