I just got an email with this laptop advertised. It looks pretty nice!

I started a toon there when it first came out and haven't been back since.

Is there anything for higher level characters to do there, or is it still 1-20?

FYI - I may be delaying purchase of this laptop. Appears the 540M has something called Optimus technology that switches it between an integrated video and the discrete nvidia 540M for gaming.

Unfortunately, it looks like a bunch of games (maybe even CoH) has trouble with this since the launcher checks the video card capability before the game triggers the switch to gaming graphics.

My old Everex XT5000T with nvidia go 7600 finally went belly up. In my search for a less than $1000 laptop that still runs CoH reasonably well, I came across this Samsung laptop.

Anyone out there using this and if so how is the performance? Is a GT540M capable of running UM at a medium level? I can't find it on gpureview.com to compare it.

I rolled one of these and have been having fun soloing GMs.

But I agree with Local_Man, Elec/ is a late blooming set for damage, relies on pet damage, and doesn't always play well with others' DoT attacks.

It's 20.5. They changed the announced downtime to 7am eastern.

I don't have a problem with something like this as long as it only supplements or adds stylistic features to existing travel powers you have already selected through leveling up.

I would have a problem if this allowed users to buy travel powers that granted them an unfair advantage over players who did not buy the booster pack. (Which if I'm reading this correctly, it does not.) I'm still not sure whether Ninja Run for example falls into this latter category.

Elec/SD has good AOE and lightning bolt can be fired from range to bring you into melee. Have you tried that one?

Not a whole lot of ranged attacks for Scrappers except in the later pool powers.

I also tend to not slot the stealth proc directly in superspeed. I like to be able to toggle stealth on and off independently of superspeed.

I recently started messing with PvP as a diversion after burning out on PvE content.

I came across a bunch of threads mostly by The_Masque with some starter PvP builds they were using in a PvP Boot Camp2 educational program on Victory:

I built a Psy/NRG blaster and have been messing around with him mostly in zone PvP in Sirens and RV on Freedom. Lots of dying, but I'm having fun figuring out PvP mechanics and learning to talk trash.

If you want to die together with another PvP noob, look me up. Global is @SuspiciousPkg and my PvP toon is Wrecked'em (since phonetically, that's where I seem to be taking it a lot on my first PvP toon.)

Is Super Speed and Sprint with +Stealth an option for you? That gives you full invis as well I do believe. And without the stealth suppression of stealth.

I have FIOS and it works fine. I attributed any lag to my kids watching Netflix, YouTube, etc.

I went into the router (default password is 'password1') under the advanced settings QoS and prioritized my computer over everything else on the network. After all, I pay the bill!

You might also want to consider making a leveling pact between your toons. That way if she sneaks off and plays in the dead of night, you'll still get XP

For a new player, I would recommend something that levels quickly in the lower levels, but still has some flashy and powerful attacks. How about a Fire/Dark corrupter? You get a heal (Twilight Grasp), two AoEs (Fireball and Rain of Fire), and a good slow/debuff (Tar Patch) all by level 6. Superspeed and Shadowfall by level 16 gives you full invisibility. It's a powerful and fun combo.
