Agreed. It would be nice if they tied vet time to the master PlayNC account date rather than the individual game account. But being able to buy slots with a one-time fee will be a better alternative for me than opening an additional account and paying monthly.

Great guide! I have a lvl 50 FF/Elec defender and it's an awesome set.

For those of you that prefer movement via mouse versus keyboard, I bound the two ally shields to my lshift+lbutton and lshift+rbutton. This way I can left click on a teammate in the team window, press and hold shift while I left click and right click the mouse. Poof! Quick double shields on an ally without ever leaving the mouse. Just step right through the team list with the mouse clicks!

Also, for those of you starting out in FF, think about getting a clock with a second hand to place in easy view. There's nothing worse than turning your team into gods for several missions and then becoming unreliable in the bubbling. They need to be able to rely on a consistent level of added defense. I still have my clock sitting by the monitor.

And I'm a strong believer in boosting your personal defense as a FF'er. I ran defense slotted stealth, maneuvers, hover, and Steadfast Protection +defense unique. Stacked with dispersion bubble, I was running at a personal defense level of 36-43% across all damage types. With the elec secondary this came in quite handy. I could put myself on follow to the main tank, be in the middle of the melee group and fire off PBU+short circuit to my heart's content.

Make your own team. I've already got one. There's a reason you get a system message back if you try to invite me and I'm already on a team.

Personally, I've always found it annoying/rude to get tells asking to join my currently running team.

Set your flag, send out a broadcast. If I want you, I'll ask.
Make your own team if you're that anxious.

I'll occasionally dual box with two active combat toons, but for the most part I pick one main to act as the damage dealer and then choose the second as a follow-along buffer.

I've had good success running a tank with a pocket emp following along with fortitude on auto. I've also had good luck running scrappers with my FF bubbler on follow with dispersion bubble.

I've also used a rad on follow to a melee toon with the rad's AM or HA on auto and clicking the rad debuffs on any particularly difficult enemies.

You might try running your fire/kin on follow to the spines/da with speed boost set to auto on the scrapper. I've done that before.

As for trying to do simultaneous combat with both accounts, I'm too old and slow.

With the posts already appearing urging players to park in active missions and never log out during the weekend, is there any plan to reset/reboot the servers at the 10am eastern maintenance time to force users to log out at least once daily and give everyone a slim chance to get on their server of choice during the double ex-pee weekend?
