Here's my current no-purple Invul/Fire/Pyre in case you want something to look at. I'm sure others have come up with other variations, but this is working well for me. I had some end problems so I bought a Performance Shifter +EndMod proc and ran a few Posi TFs and bought a Numi +regen/+recov and Miracle +recov. I do just fine now.

Recharge seems about right for BU and the three AoE's. Greater FS is good for the LTs and Bosses that are left.

Don't forget the mechanics of invinc -- you need to jump into the middle of the biggest group of baddies as quickly as possible. Don't taunt from afar -- get in there and then pull them to you!

I'll throw out my recommendation for Invul/Fire/Pyre.

The 3 big AoE's (FSC, Combustion, Fireball) help aggro along with Invinc.

I built mine for capped S/L def, recharge, end recovery and damage. Just recently tanked the I15 TF with no problems.

Considering dropping Unstoppable since I never use it.

I was operating along the same lines as you until about a month ago. I had one toon that I had achieved field crafter status and used him as a market mule to craft and sell IOs. I made enough to keep any of my active toons IO'd but didn't do much as far as purples.

About a month ago, mostly out of boredom after playing the game for nearly 5 years, I decided to treat the market as a 'game within a game' and set the goal to hit a billion inf both blueside and redside.

I hit it about a week ago blueside and and about halfway there redside. It's actually been a fun diversion from the normal grind and I do get a sense of satisfaction seeing the fruits of the research, bidding, and selling strategies learned from this forum.

I guess the point of my post is that this game has a number of different facets - leveling toons, badging, marketeering, PvP, role playing, etc. There's no reason to limit your game play to only one or two of them. Try something new and you may find out you like it!

Awww. I was hoping the next invasion would come while we still had the looping drone explosions.

Pretty sure they do. In order to form the pact, both have to be logged in initially at the same time. You cannot do that with two characters on the same account.

Could it be something really easy like the digital/analog switch on the monitor? I have an HP flat panel display and if I hit the +/- button on the front of the display it will switch between displaying analog signal input and digital.

Perhaps the old card that worked sent an analog signal and the newer ones are digital only?

So non-gray conning minions can drop purples? For some reason I thought only Lts and bosses dropped them.

I wouldn't have brought it up but your idea is mildly insane there's always going to be a market for purples no matter the price because the limit on inf is so enormous as well as the ability to earn inf. It will however level off shy of the inf cap. probably more likely around half that. You intend to fix the problem by...being the problem. perhaps you should come up with a plan B.

I'm enjoying an Invul/Fire. Can sit in the middle of big mobs and AoE.

You don't think they'll try and get Rouge out in time to compete with that other hero MMO that is now slated for Sept 2009 release?

If your kids have bailed on you and you have trouble getting people to join due to the power ranger name, you can try petitioning your own SG name for copyright infringement and see if they will let you rename it

Also, don't forget how nvidia names/numbers their graphics cards.
First number indicates product gen, but the second number is the one to look at for horsepower. So comparing #1 and #5, I think you're better off with the 8600 over the 9300.

And if you're going to slot 4 IO's why not go for all six and get 6% regen and the 7.5 recharge bonus? Then you save mucho inf over a steadfast or karma -KB IO and a LoTG +recharge IO.

I would recommend invul/fire. I'm running one now and he's a lot of fun. dive into a big group and get the invinc +def bonus then AoE the buggers.
